  • We studied it about ways to detect damage of a tire about randomness ultrasonic signal which occurs repeatedly while rub a tire of driving car and a road surface. The signal randomness is decreased through the preprocess of short-time energy calculation and the average value of coherence function is used by the normalization expression of the signal randomness. The process limit that can be decide on the dominant period of a signal using the coherence threshold is analyzed and the algorithm to decide the dominant period is proposed by setting up the -3dB threshold of the maximum value on the power spectrum.

  • Nonparametric procedures in randomized block design was proposed by Friedman (1937) as a general alternative. This method is used to find out the difference in treatment effect. It can cause a loss of inter block information using the ranking in each block. This paper proposed nonparametric procedures using an aligned method proposed by Hodges and Lehmann (1962) to reduce block information based on joint placement suggest by Jo and Kim (2013) in a randomized block design. We also compared the power of the test of the proposed procedures and established method through a Monte Carlo simulation.

  • In this paper, we analyzed cell loss rate performance for random traffic sources in wireless ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) access architecture, which consists of access node and wireless channel. Applying queueing model to cell level at access node and considering burst error characteristics in wireless channel, we derived a formula about the cell loss rate of the random traffic in the wireless ATM access architecture. We also applied FEC(Forward Error Correction) schemes to improve the cell loss rate of random traffic. When we applied FEC schemes in the wireless ATM access architecture, we confirmed that the concatenated code provides the most superior performance compared to any other codes.

  • In this paper, the performance of turbo code using semi random interleaver over the radio communication channel was analyzed. In the result, we proved that the performance of decoder was excellent as increase the interleaver size, constraint length, and iteration number. When the constraint length of turbo code using seim random interleaver and convolutional code is constant, and BER $10^{-4}$ each value of $E_b/N_o$ was 6.4(DB) and 1.7(dB). There(ore, when the constraint length was constant, we proved that the performance of turbo code using semi random interleaver is superior to convolutional code about 4.7(dB) in the case of BER=$10^{-4}$.

  • In this paper, we proposed and evaluated ARAH(Adaptive Random Access algorithm for HIPERLAN/2) to improve system performance. In this paper, HIPERLAN/2 uses OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modulation scheme to select appropriate PHY mode by Radio Channel Quality, Proposed the ARAH scheme uses these 7 PHY mode when mobile terminal determines the RCH(Random CHannel) number for random access. In this paper, these 7 PHY mode divided into two group, good and bad, and will be given high priority to mobile terminals which are in a good group. In the result of performance evaluation. ARAH algorithm, ARAH has a better performance of throughput and delay than existing algorithm.

  • In this study, we have proposed the random function arbitration method using a random function manager in other to use the merits and overcome the demerits of fixed priority and round-robin, Starvation phenomenon can be generated from the master having low priority in fixed priority method. Also, round-robin method can't give a priority to important master, however, as the proposed random function arbitration method can be random set the rate of fixed priority and round-robin, we can solve the problems of conventional arbitration methods. From TLM simulation, we confirmed that the bus utilization of master could be controled from 32% to 16% and the starvation phenomenon of master could be prevented.

  • This paper proposes an efficient verification environment of PCI Express controller that is the future I/O interface. This verification environment consists of a test vector generator, a test bench, and two abstract memories. We also define the assembler set to generate the verification scenarios. In this paper, we propose the random test environment which consists of a random vector generator, a .simulator part, and a compare engine. This verification methodology is useful to find the special errors which are not detected by the basic-behavioral test and hardware-design test.

  • In this paper, a frequentistic approach to impute the values of R, G, B-components in random missing pixels of color image is provided. Under assumption that the given image is a realization of Gaussian Markov random field, its model is designed such that each neighbor pixel values for a given pixel follows (independently) the normal distribution with covariance matrix scaled by an evaluates of the similarity between two pixel values, so that the imputation is not to be affected by the neighbors with different color. An approximate EM-based algorithm maximizing the underlying likelihood is implemented to estimate the parameters and to impute the missing pixel values. Some experiments are presented to show its effectiveness through performance comparison with a popular interpolation method.

  • Mack and Skillings (1980) proposed nonparametric procedures in a randomized block design with replications as general alternatives. This method is used to find the difference in the treatment effect; however, it can cause a loss of inter block information using the ranking in each block. In this paper, we proposed new nonparametric procedures in a randomized block design with replications using an aligned method proposed by Hodges and Lehmann (1962) that used information of blocks and based on the joint placement suggest by Chung and Kim (2008). • We present a cleaning robot algorithm that can be implemented on low-cost robot architecture while the cleaning performance far exceeds the conventional random style cleaning through human-robot interaction. We clarify the advantages and disadvantages of the two notable cleaning robot styles: the random and the mapping styles, and show the possibility how we can achieve the performance of the complicated mapping style under the random style-like robot architecture using the idea of human-aided cleaning algorithm. Experimental results are presented to show the performance.
