Legal Issues and Policy Implications of Electronic Commerce Chapters of the Korea·China FTA (한·중 FTA 전자상거래 협정의 주요쟁점과 활용과제)

  • China is the largest e-commerce market in the world. The Chinese online retail market is almost 40% larger than the US, and together these markets account for more than 55% of worldwide e-commerce. The Korea China FTA is likely to facilitate e-commerce activity between the two countries, as well as trade in the goods and services that enable e-commerce. Korean consumer goods can enjoy the benefits of the FTA because it has a competitive advantage in the Chinese market in terms of technology and quality. The purpose of this study is to examine legal issues of e-commerce chapters of the Korea China FTA and policy implications. Results of the study show that several implications based on the export vitalization of cross-border e-commerce of Korean products are offered. The Korean government needs to do the following: prepare for the subsequent negotiation of the e-commerce agreement, prepare for the classification issue of electronic transmissions, require mutual recognition of electronic authentication and electronic signatures, prepare for e-commerce dispute settlement mechanism and establish of strategies for the export vitalization of e-commerce.

Study on the Influence of Child Birth Promotion Policy Due to postpartum care and Maternity Leave to Economical Activities in the Era of Convergence (융복합시대 산후조리와 육아휴직으로 인한 출산장려정책이 경제활동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This research aims to look into correlation between Korea's childbirth promotion policy caused from women's maternity leave and economic activity. For the purpose, 300 surveys were distributed to mothers using postnatal care centers located in Seoul. Listed postnatal care centers such as Babe Glory, Shinsegae, Happy, Miznomall and out of 260, 222 surveys were selected for the research. Several advanced studies regarding child birth promotion policy backed up by current government and related domestic and overseas documents were used as reference. Decisive factors including social insurance, tax, cost for child birth and rearing service, social culture were derived as trait elements for child birth promotion. Mentioned factors along with economic activity by childbearing women were used when setting up the research model and hypothesis. Relation with material leave was employed as parameter for this study of which purpose lies in empirical analysis and investigation.

  • In this study, it is aimed to solve the problems of energy depletion, environmental pollution, climate change and traffic congestion in the coming generations. In Korea, the usage of public bicycle, which is a short-distance transportation system, is continuously increasing. Therefore, we analyzed the public bicycles of 'Taungryei' in Seoul and 'Nubiza' in Changwon City. We also conducted in-depth interviews with Stephen Anderson based on six principles of Creating Pleasurable Interfaces. As a result, users' discomfort was found in the functional part and the usability part of the public bicycle. Also, it was confirmed that the users were satisfied with the public bicycle in the meaningful part. Therefore, public bicycles should consider the user experience aspects to complement functional and usability parts for users.

  • Free-to-Play of Digital Game became to be one of the largest profit business models because of its stable profit and ability to attract new players. However as the services that are provided gets diversified, some problem come up with mass imbalance in the gameplay experience. Therefore in this process to organize the concepts and features of the Free-to-Play and typing research depending on the acquisition method, durability, and function of revelation target. It was able to derive the three problems, which are inequality in the gameplay experience, economic imbalance in the game world, and player's breakaway. The goal of study is to explain by giving specific examples with these three problems and offer rational solutions. These kinds of study will give a lead on how the Free-to-Play model should be applied to the Korean game market.

  • To increase the competitiveness of domestic manufacturers products, CAE system, process and fast delivery of development information and implementation of retrieval system introduced for manufacturers is necessary situation For this purpose, this study analysed instance to build integrated design simulation system that provide design automation, modular design, design standards, automation of quality verification and design knowledge. Also, we discuss that improve design of the new product and increasing the satisfaction of our customers. Completed development of simulation systems are the basic steps, and pilot operation about new product. During pilot operation, the systems is improved. Through this process, the experimental data accumulated to increase the effectiveness of the simulation, and improve the utilization. Therefore, this study have many theoretical, practical value for growing global company.

  • Nowadays, Smart media services such as smartphone applications are proliferated through the convergence of social media and the information and communication technologies(ICT). In many countries, the ICT policy is strategically used to solve the economic recession and high unemployment rate caused by the global financial crisis. However, the Korean ICT policies have declined with the abolition of the Ministry of information and communication. This paper suggests the dynamic quality of life as a philosophical foundation of Korean ICT policy and the dynamic policy PR methods for the social consultation and people's approval(national consensus), because the component of dynamic quality of life are embodied in the elements of ICT policy that should be realized through the governance, in which both Korean government and people produce and consume the ICT policies together in the era of smart media.

  • In a rapidly changing IT and business management environment the demand for competent IS personnels is increasing. However, it is ironic that the number of IT and IS majors has sharply decreased as well as the widespread skepticism of IS identity. This research suggests directions to differentiate MIS to other IT majors, diversify IS core competency and make general improvements in MIS curriculum. The research recommend the courses of IS Strategy and policy, ITA/EA, Global IT Management, Emerging Technologies, DW/DM, BI, IT Service Science, Project Management, IT Consulting and integrated capstone which are few in Kore universities. This research also stress the course of soft skills like business communication, team building, analytic/logical thinking, rational problem solving and so on as a important IS competency. The pedagogy of course is important, so the research recommend the internship, mentoring programme, lecturers in industry according to industrial - educational cooperation.

  • Recently, the mobile game market is growing due to the extension of mobile devices and internet. The mobile games are became a popular culture in society. But the existing mobile games have two simple forms. There are tow models in the mobile games. The first is as follows. The user downloads a game one time and play the game at off-line field. The second is as follows. The user play a battle game at on-line field. In the paper, we propose a new on-line "tug of war" game model which the user can play two kinds of game. They are the on-line battle mode game and the character raising mode game. Thus, this game model is different to existing mobile games and innovative model in mobile game market. This paper proposes a new research field in mobile game market with the characteristic that the user tan play two modes. One mode is the on-line tug of war battle mode and the other is the character raising mode.

  • Electronic book(E-book) is a digitalized content which provides online service and digitalized text-based information that has been distributed in the form of Paper-book. E-book has been attracting people's attention in earnest since the Steven King's novel, 'Riding the Bullet' was published as a form of E-book in 2000. Since then, customers have paid attention to E-book, and the scale of E-book market has been growing sharply in Europe, China, Japan and Korea as well as the US. The purpose of this study is for actual analysis how Paper-book and E-book market compete with each other and expand into the world publication market. The relationship between Paper-book and E-book is modeled by the Lotka-Volterra Model designed for competitive relationships and estimate spreading curves. Also, competition patterns between Paper-book and E-book are analyzed by estimating coefficient of curve expression. This study shows the change of customers' demand which has been created since E-book was introduced to the publication market.

Integrity verification of VM data collected in private cloud environment and reliability verification of related forensic tools (사설 클라우드 환경에서 수집된 VM 데이터의 무결성 입증과 관련 포렌식 도구의 신뢰성 검증)

  • Recently, a large number of corporations are adopting cloud solution in order to reduce IT-related costs. By the way, Digital Trace should have admissibility to be accepted as digital evidence in court, and integrity is one of the factors for admissibility. In this context, this research implemented integrity verification test to VM Data which was collected by well-known private cloud solutions such as Citrix, VMware, and MS Hyper-V. This paper suggests the effective way to verify integrity of VM data collected in private cloud computing environment based on the experiment and introduces the error that EnCase fails to mount VHD (Virtual Hard Disk) files properly.
