A Study on the Development of the Digital Traffic Signal Controller (디지털 교통신호제어기 개발 연구)

  • The Traffic controller currently used in Korea is a switch control system that directly transfers 220V of high voltage to traffic lights one to one. This method requires a lot of cables, and there are concerns about electric shock. Accordingly, Korea Road Traffic Authority added the digital communication signal controller standard using digital communication method to the standard specification of the communication signal controller of the National Police Agency. Based on these specifications, this paper intended to develop digital communication call controllers. In addition, it was verified that even if the digital communication signal controller and analogue communication call controller were mixed, they could operate in the signal control system currently in operation.

Design of Digital Current Mode Control for Power Converters (전력변환회로의 디지털 전류모드제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, a digital current mode control is designed for the power converter applications. The designed digital current mode controller is derived analytically from the continuous time small signal model of the power converters. Due to the small signal model based derivations of the control law, the designed control method can be applicable to boost, buck, and buck-boost converters. It is also proven that the controlled power converter employing the designed digital current mode controller is always stable regardless of an operating conditions. In order to show the usefulness of a designed controller, experiments are carried out using a 16bit DSP micro-processor, TMS320LF2406A.

  • 디젤기관은 실린더 내경의 크기, 실린더 수 및 회전수에 따라 착화지연, 연소지연 및 디젤기관의 각종 정수가 달라지므로 비선형이 심한 시스템이다. 본 연구에서는 신경회로망을 이용하여 발전기를 구동하는 디젤 기관의 속도를 제어하는 디젤기관 신경회로망 디지털조속기를 제안한다. 이를 위하여 3상 50㎾ 발전기를 구동하는 4행정 4실린더, 1800 rpm ISUTSU 디젤기관의 실제 운전데이터로부터 뉴럴에뮬레이터를 구한다. 최적치 뉴럴에뮬레이터 구성을 위하여 다양한 역전파알고리즘으로 학습을 행하고 결과를 비교한다. 또한 디젤기관의 역으로부터 뉴럴 제어기를 구성하고 뉴럴에뮬레이터로 시뮬레이션을 행한다. 외란이 존재하는 경우에도 효과적인 뉴럴제어기를 구성하기 위하여 선택적 뉴럴제어 기의 사용을 제안한다. 또한 응답성을 향상하고 정확한 목표치추종을 위하여 PI제어기를 보조제어기로 사용하는 하이브리드제어기를 구성하여 시뮬레이션을 통하여 성능이 향상됨을 보인다.

  • 본 논문에서는 전력변환회로의 소신호 모델을 이용한 데드빗 전류모드제어기를 설계하였다. 소신호 모델을 이용함으로써 부스투, 벅, 벅-부스트 컨버터에 모두 적용 가능한 데드빗 전류모드제어기를 설계 가능하고, 설계한 제어기는 모든 시비율 동작 조건에서 안정함을 확인하였다. 16bit 마이크로컨트롤러인 80C196KC를 사용하여 설계된 디지털 제어기를 구현하고, 아날로그제어기를 이용한 전류모드 제어에서의 동작 조건에 따른 불안정성 문제를 해결할 수 있음을 실험을 통해 확인하였다.

Design of a CDBC Using Multirate Sampling (Multirate 샘플링을 이용한 CDBC의 설계)

  • Due to the asymptotic property, deadbeat control which is well used in digital control system can not be applied to the continuous time system. But recently by use of the finite Laplace Transform to transfer function and establishment of some settling conditions, CDBC(Continuous time Deadbeat Control) is studied. For CDBC design, transfer function is constituted with delay elements and then order and interpolation conditions are derived. In other way, digital deadbeat controller is implemented and it's output is changed to continuous type by smoothing elements. In this paper multirate sampling is used and so inner controller is sampled faster than output feedback loop. And End order smoothing elements is placed to the output of digital deadbeat controller. By the multirate sampling overall output response is improved. The controller is impleneted as a serial integral compensator in the forward path and a local feedback compensator introduced into the outpute feedback loop. Matlab Simulink is used for simulation.

  • The signal intersection is the most challenging space for autonomous vehicles. To promote the safe driving of autonomous vehicles on urban roads with traffic signals, autonomous vehicles need to receive traffic signal information from infrastructure through V2I communication. Thus, a protocol for providing traffic signal information was added to the standard traffic signal controller specification of the National Police Agency. On the other hand, there are technical limitations when applying this to digital traffic signal controllers because the protocols are defined mainly for analog traffic signal controllers. Therefore, this study proposes developing a signal information linkage module to provide traffic signal information from a digital traffic signal controller to an autonomous vehicle and an algorithm improvement method that can provide accurate traffic signal information at the time of traffic signal transition.

Optimal Design of a Continuous Time Deadbeat Controller (연속시간 유한정정제어기의 최적설계)

  • Deadbeat property is well established in digital control system design in time domain. But in continuous time system, deadbeat is impossible because of it's ripples between sampling points inspite of designs using the related digital control system design theory. But several researchers suggested delay elements. A delay element is made from the concept of finite Laplace Transform. From some specifications such as internal model stability, physical realizations as well as finite time settling, unknown coefficents and poles in error transfer functions with delay elements can be calulted so as to satisfy these specifications. For the application to the real system, robustness property can be added. In this paper, error transfer function is specified with 1 delay element and robustness condition is considered additionally. As the criterion of the robustness, a weighted sensitive function's $H_{infty}$ norm is used. For the minimum value of the criterion, error transfer function's poles are calculated optimally. In this sense, optimal design of the continuous time deadbeat controller is obtained.

  • 본 논문에서는 시간지연 관측기를 위치제어 시스템 적용하여 설계한 내용을 기술하였다. 시간지연제어기의 상태추정 기법을 이용한 시간지연 관측기는 플랜트 모델이 필요하지 않아 설계가 용이하고, 파라미터 변동 및 외란에 강건하다. 또한 계산이 간단하여 디지털 제어 시스템에 충분히 적용이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 시간지연제어기가 위치제어기로 적용된 전기식 구동시스템에서 속도센서를 사용하지 않고 시간지연 관측기를 적용하여 제어기를 설계하였다. 시간지연 관측기를 적용한 구동시스템에 대해 비선형 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며. 속도센서를 사용한 경우와 상태관측기를 적용한 경우 및 PID 제어기를 적용한 경우에 대해 비교하였다.

  • Analog and Digital Speed Control Systems have mutually complementary properties. Analog System has good dynamic characteristics and moderate steady-state accuracy and can be implemented economically with operational a ampliers. Digital System, on the contray, has good static accuracy, but relatively poor dynamic property. So, a hybrid system which uses both digital and analog control can have good static and dynamic characteristics. In this paper, it is shown that a simple digital controller can improve steady-state accuracy of existing analog control system satisfactorily, and some design criteria are presented also.

  • 본 논문에서는 TMS320F2812 DSP를 사용하여 PFC를 위한 디지털 제어기를 설계하였다. 디지털제어기를 사용함으로써 윈도우 기반의 PC와 통신을 통해 제어기의 각종 파라미터를 모니터할 수 있고 원격제어가 가능하도록 설계하였다. 설계된 디지털 제어기는 DC 200V출력의 300W급 부스트 컨버터에 적용하였으며, 디지털 제어기를 통하여 입력전류가 입력전압의 위상을 추종제어 됨을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.
