Digital preservation becomes, nowadays, one of the important business process in the academic libraries. This study is to investigate the librarians' perception on digital preservation requirements and to analyze the business practices of the digital preservation and digital preservation level in the 102 academic libraries. In results, it is found that the digital preservation specialists in academic libraries have almost same perception on basic policies and direction. Also, the study finds that the important function of digital preservation is to secure authenticity and integrity; policy and expertise are the most important key components for digital preservation; the most frequently reported barriers to preservation are the lack of willingness and funding problems; most librarians want to learn and train how to establish preservation planning and policy. In general, most librarian think that the level of digital preservation in the academic libraries is insufficiency. Therefore the academic libraries should establish the relevant digital preservation policy and business workflows and to develop capacity of digital preservation.

This paper reviews digital collection development policies of academic libraries in America which attempted to digitize their collections in order to preserve their analog collections and to provide easy access to their digital collections. Such factors as selecting materials for digitization, sustainable size of digital collection, bibliographic control and collection management, coordinated digital collection project are discussed in order to be fully integrated into traditional collection development policies of academic libraries.

삼보정보통신은 지난달 한양대학교의 디지털도서관 구축을 완료하고 시연회를 가졌다. 과거의 도서관은 단순히 서지정보만을 제공하는 역할을 담당했지만 지금은 텍스트정보 뿐만 아니라 화상, 소리, 동화상까지 제공하는 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 또한 디지털도서관은 가상대학의 핵심요소로 관련업계에서는 초미의 관심사가 되어있다. 삼보정보통신의 디지털도서관 구축사례를 소개함으로써 가상대학을 추진하고 있는 대학에게 도움이 되고자 한다.

This study aims to propose an implementation plan for ensuring the digital continuity of university information resources that require the continuous management of temporary and permanent records in digital transformation environments. Thus, the cases of The National Archives (TNA; United Kingdom) and the National Archives of Australia (NAA)'s digital continuity policies were investigated and analyzed, drawing implications for ensuring universities' digital continuity. The process for ensuring digital continuity proposed by TNA was then applied to a university case for the proposal of an implementation plan applicable to university information resources.

This study examines cases of digital humanities education programs at universities, university libraries and digital humanities centers in the United States. As a result of the research, it was analyzed that the university-centered education program operates in conjunction with other departments to take courses related to humanities and digital technology in general. The digital humanities education program is not operated as a full degree program, but most programs are operated as graduate certificate programs, and it is required to require a graduate degree in library and information science and humanities in advance. Most of the digital humanities centers run educational programs centered on faculty and postdoctoral researchers in universities in connection with universities and university libraries to support the humanities scholars. Lastly, the university's digital humanities education program is operated in the form of research support for students and researchers of all majors. In addition, the content of the educational program focused on the practice for digital projects rather than theory. Empowering digital literacy and supporting digital technology-based research has become a new role for university libraries, which requires libraries to play a central role in digital humanities education.

This study examined the current state of digital libraries in Korean cyber universities and suggested recommendations for improvements. The study conducted a survey and face-to-face interviews with people in charge of managing cyber university digital libraries, and analyzed library Web sites as well as library holdings and budget information available from the university information disclosure. The examples of cyber university digital libraries in other countries were also analyzed. Based on the findings, the study developed guidelines and policies for improving cyber university digital libraries and suggested a hosting-based digital library system. The findings of this study is expected to contribute to enhancing the quality of education in cyber universities.

This study examines current state of digital reference service on the homepage of university library in Korea. Among 236 university libraries. only $36.9\%$ (87) provide digital reference services. Digital reference services was weak as face-to-face reference services in Korea. Based on the research finding, revealed current state and related problems, and a few suggestions are provided for digital reference service system.

This study is to identify the concept of the digital curation, archiving and preservation resulted in the development of digital information resources, and is to suggest the roles and strategies of the digital curation in university library based on the lifecycle information process of the digital information resources and the examples of the digital curation from domestic and aborad. I have designed a curation model and the preservation of the digital resources in university library by using creators, curators, and users who stand on the basis of the lifecycle. As a result, I have built up a system that is to be a basis to share resources and cooperation among universities.

This paper was to explore the effect of aging anxiety of the middle-aged on depression in aging society. This survey was conducted from September, 2013 to December, 2013 and 302responses from the survey were used for the analysis. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, pearson correlation and Multiple Regression. The research findings could be summarized as the followings. First, the mean scores of aging anxiety and depression were lower than average. Second, aging anxiety was the significant predictor to explain depression. Third, income also was the significant predictors which have the effectiveness to the depression.
