Difference in Rotation Pattern of Toric Soft Contact Lenses with Different Axis Stabilization Design (축 안정화 디자인이 상이한 토릭소프트콘택트렌즈의 회전 양상 차이)

  • Purpose: It was investigated whether two different stabilization designs of toric contact lenses changed the rotational axis and degree of toric lenses according to body posture and gaze direction in the present study. Methods: Toric soft contact lenses with Lo-Torque$^{TM}$ design and ASD design (accelerated stabilized design) were fitted on 52 eyes aged in 20s-30s. Then, rotational degree was measured at the five gaze directions including front gaze and the lying position. Results: When gazing the front and vertical directions in the upright posture, lens was much rotated to nasal side for the Lo-Torque$^{TM}$ design and temporal side for the ASD design. When gazing horizontal direction, both design lenses were rotated against to the gaze direction. Rotation degree was the smallest at superior direction gaze and the largest at nasal gaze. In case of the rotation degree less than $5^{\circ}$, Lo-Torque$^{TM}$ design was more frequent when gazing front and vertical directions, and ASD design was more frequent when gazing horizontal direction. In addition, the lens with Lo-Torque$^{TM}$ design was lesser rotation degree than with ASD design immediately after lying. On the other hand, the lens with ASD design was lesser rotation degree than with Lo-Torque$^{TM}$ design 1 minute later after lying. Conclusions: This study confirmed that axis rotation of the lens induced by gaze direction and posture was different according to axis stabilization design during wearing toric soft contact lens.

  • In an era where AI artificial intelligence converges into each field, design of AI-CARE function and UI UX design are in the spotlight. The application of shape design and the trend of color are important for visual effects to match new features. In this paper, we would like to use this to present an example of the arrangement and application of form trends and to present design directions. In the introduction, the latest design environmental factors were analyzed and studied in the direction of the new proposal. In the text, the design direction and consideration of the design in the planning were studied by separating the functional design form, and the direction of the design work was presented. At the stage of form and color, a plan was proposed to match the flow of minimalism, universal design, and affordance design. A study method based on case practice is a consideration of how to consider content on shapes and colors specialized in the partial design work, and proposed to enable graphic production of new areas of UI UX in content images to be feasible. Through this study, the design direction and planning of the derivative method of shape and color was reached by suggesting design directionality and validity for each AI CARE bed PART.

Empirical approach to Cognitive Process for Problems of Marine Design (해양디자인 문제해결을 위한 인지적 프로세스에 관한 실증적 접근)

  • The researchers of this study closely looked into the methods for cognitive-scientific approach to problems of marine design at a time when the overall values of marine cultures are acknowledged in full scale. To that end, the researchers analyzed the problems and problem-solving process for the initial approach to marine design. At the same time, the researchers made the matrix of the design-developmental directions by cognitive scientific approach. After selecting the subjects, the researchers collected verbal protocol and behavior protocol which were shown in the process of a designer's thinking. This was for the sake of protocol analysis which is the representative research technique of cognitive science. Based on the collected data, the researchers empirically analyzed the behavior patterns shown in the marine design process so as to develop the design behavior-graph pattern of designers in an objective and systematic way. The behavior graph was helpful for looking into the initial developmental directions of design and for predicting cognitive structure of designers. The researchers hope that this study will become a fundamental material for predicting cognitive directions of designer for planning and designing the marine design.

  • 월병은 아시아의 여러 나라들, 특히 중국 중추절의 중요한 전통 음식이다. 중국의 디자인이 강화되면서, 사람들의 월병 포장 디자인에 대한 관심도 높아지고 있다. CNPP 데이터에 따르면, 2018년 말까지, 86.17%의 사람들이 월병을 구매한 것은 그것의 포장 디자인 때문이었다. 따라서, 본 논문은 월병의 포장 디자인에서 출발하여, 월병 포장 디자인에 대한 중국 소비자들의 선호를 분석하고, 월병 포장 디자인에 대해 방향성을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. CNPP의 시장 보고서에 따르면, 중국 10대의 인기 월병 브랜드를 대상으로 선행연구를 통해 포장 디자인의 브랜드 로고, 색채, 형태, 재질 4가지 디자인 요소를 도출하였으며 중국 소비자를 대상으로 선호도 설문조사를 진행하였다. 설문지 결과에 따라, 월병 포장 디자인 4개 요소 중 소비자들이 가장 선호하는 디자인 유형을 분석해, 중국 월병 포장 디자인에 대한 디자인 방향을 제시했다. 본 논문은 설문지 인원수 및 포장 디자인 요소 측면에 한계성이 존재하기 때문에, 본 논문이 소비자의 선호도를 높이는 월병 포장 디자인의 기초 자료가 되어, 앞으로 구체적인 포장 디자인 방안에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.

A Study on the Direction of Cultural Goods Design Education in korea (우리나라 문화상품디자인 교육의 방향에 관한 연구)

  • As cultural goods have been taken notice of as an area that may contribute to the creation of national profits, there have been attempts to construct infrastructure for the area. Contrary to the trend, however, design education has not performed in-depth researches and studies on the professionalism and characteristic of subjects. Resultantly it has hardly prepared systematic educational curricula and contents. In this situation the present study purposes to set the right direction of design education and to draw the outline of systematic educational contents for cultural goods design. For this purpose, it defines the scope of cultural goods design based on the concept and contents of cultural goods design, examines the functions, the roles and the conditions of cultural goods designers, and based on them, propose the direction of cultural goods design education as the ground of detailed methods of teaching cultural goods design.

A Study on the User Analysis and Design Improvement Direction of Kiosks (국내 키오스크의 사용자 분석과 디자인 개선 방향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the direction of improving kiosk design for convenient use by all users by increasing the usability of kiosks based on universal design principles. The direction of design improvement was studied by deriving essential improvements through additional surveys verifying the results of age-specific surveys and analysis related to the use of kiosks. The results of the study are as follows. High contrast between kiosk screen background and design elements, yellow color, and outline design elements increase readability. Then, reduce and enlarge the font based on 10pt. In addition, in consideration of wheelchair passengers, the area where the lower part cannot be designed and the minimum height of adjusting the height of the kiosk were derived. In the future, kiosk design requires a design and system that can diversify the functions of kiosks according to individual characteristics, and design should be focused on the application of universal design. Since this study has limited research subjects, further studies on various samples are required, and verification studies related to color and readability will also be conducted.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the direction of communication design through in-depth interviews on the topic of gender equality, which is an active theme of social issue happening worldwide, and to suggest a direction to provide better social issue communication direction. In order to do so, firstly, I researched case studies and investigated the characteristics of gender magazines such as If, Ferm and Womankind. Secondly, I conducted an empirical study of in-depth interviews to identify the emotional adjectives by women and men by different age groups from gender equality storytelling magazine experience. As a result, I was able to grasp two points necessary. First of all, for the gender equality content messages closely related to everyday stories level down the barrier and become easier to empathize with. Second of all, the more complex the social issues are, the more sustainable and credible if the content developed steadily and contingently. This study is meaningful in that it suggested a series of directions for communicating gender equality issues. Future research should complement the suggested directions for gender equality communication design and contribute to guiding further directions.

A Proposal for Meta Guideline of Orientate Signage Design based on Information Design (정보디자인 관점에서 방향 안내 표지판 디자인의 메타 가이드라인 제안)

  • Wayfinding is a 'Process solving problem to find destination', and it is important to select spatial data for optimal way. Recently, due to the complexity of space and the expansion of the medium of the wayfinding service, it is necessary to the approach on the information design for them. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose a meta guideline on the information design for the design of orientation sign, which is an important cognitive clue in the wayfinding. It was conducted in 3 stages, First, a design process was proposed and design elements were derived for each step by literature research related to information and sign design, and analysis of manual for signage design. Second, a meta guideline for information organization and visualization in the three-stage design process was proposed by FGI and analysis. Third, the meta guideline was applied to the sign design on an area for user evaluation to inspect the applicability of the meta guideline. Through the user questionnaire, the possibility of applying the guideline for visualization of directions and spaces, information hierarchy according to spatial characteristics and information priority was identified. It is meaningful in that necessary element for signage design are systematized centering on the process and that it presents a macroscopic methodology according to spatial characteristics.

  • 본 연구에서는 대량 맞춤화(Mass Customization)에 적절한 의류 제품 디자인 프로세스를 연구하기 위하여, 맞춤화 정도를 달리한 두 가지의 디자인 프로세스 모형을 제안하고 이를 종래의 대량 생산형 디자인 프로세스와 비교 고찰함으로써 보다 효과적인 디자인 프로세스의 방향을 모색하였다. 대량 맞춤화형 제품에 대한 선호도가 높은 집단이 전체 응답자의 과반수 이상을 차지하였으며 맞춤화가 가장 심화된 디자인 프로세스 모형에서의 디자인 만족도가 높았으므로, 의류 제품에 있어 대량 맞춤화형 디자인 프로세스에 대한 소비자 수용 가능성이 있는 것으로 사료되었다. 또한 전체 응답자를 대상으로 하여 디자인 요소별 선호도를 분석해 본 결과, 대량 맞춤화형 디자인 프로세스에서 색채가 중요한 요인으로 분석되어 소비자에게 색채를 선택할 수 있는 기회를 주는 것이 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 연구집단으로 선정한 '대량 맞춤화형 제품에 대한 선호도가 높은 집단'의 경우 전체 응답자 집단에 비하여 소재 변수를 의미 있게 평가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전체 응답자 집단과 연구집단의 경우 모두 스타일이 가장 중요하며 통계적으로 의미 있는 영향을 미치는 디자인 요소인 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구를 통하여 소비자의 요구를 반영할 수 있는 대량 맞춤화형 의류 제품의 수용 가능성과 이에 적합한 의류 제품 디자인 프로세스의 방향을 모색해 볼 수 있었다.
