Design Generation Methodology For Creative Design Thinking (창의적 사고를 통한 아이디어 발상 방법론)

  • 소비자들이 상품에 대한 미학적인 측면을 점점 더 중요시 하게 됨에 따라 현대 디자인은 기존의 개념을 탈피하여 새롭고 부드러우며 유연한 감성이 요구되고 있다. 디자인의 궁극적인 목표가 '소비자의 꿈을 현실로 만들어 주는 것'이라면 이러한 목표에 이르기 위한 '창의적 아이디어발상' 은 디자이너가 갖추어야 할 가장 중요한 능력 중의 하나이다. 따라서 본 연구는 창의적 아이디어 발상법에 대한 선행연구의 프로세스와 방법론의 문제점을 파악하고, 이를 보완한 새로운 디자인 방법론을 제시하고자 한다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 이루기 위해 사례연구로써 컴퓨터를 이용한 창의적 아이디어 발상법을 제안하여 디자이너에게 실제 디자인현장에서 활용할 수 있도록 하며 창의적 아이디어발상법의 개발에 대한 효과와 새로운 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.

  • This study is to help creative idea generation based on the theory of the 'reconstruction of character shape image elements', and aims to extrusion of creative and diverse shapes with combination of image elements upon computing creative image generation. In order to suggest the design generation methodology for the maximization of idea generation ability and to overcome restriction of thinking out of existing idea generation methodology, it has suggested the CGS(Character Generation System) that is a creative idea generation methodology identified and complemented the problem of the existing computerized idea generation(PDS with Proportion) method out of the preceded studies on the creative idea generation methodologies. this study is expected to have effectives as one method for idea generation or creative image generation assistance during the 3D character development process, and to serve as an assistance to overcome the restriction of the character shape image generation through diverse idea generations.

A Computer Mediated Design Development System for Design Innovation - the Focus on the Creative Thinking System for Idea Development in Product Design (디자인 혁신을 위한 창조적 발상지원 시스템 연구)

  • This paper focuses on the idea development as a creative thinking process for design innovation. The process of thinking has the thinking structures of abduction and transformation. After we had studied the design thought, we found a structure of a thinking system, and created a creative thinking model with this. Using job analysis, we examined the duster of design jobs, which form the design process, and verified the thinking model. The findings suggest that our idea development has the creative process not only of divergent thinking and convergent one, but also of transformation in design. In same time, the design thinking shows their pattern of transition from abstract concept to concrete object. Between the design jobs, idea development shows higher difficulty than other jobs - marketing, product planning and follow-up. Combining the D-T-C (Divergent-Transformation-Convergent) thinking with abstract-concrete thinking, we designed a DFD(data flow diagram) for an early model of computer mediated thinking system (CMTS). This has implications for design support.

  • Under the ambiguous situation that design aim is not defined, this study would help designers with 1. overcoming the limitation of form generation ability by establishing visual application system, 2. accepting users'opinions by generating images dynamically, analysing and giving information on the preferred ones on the web on real time, 3. identifying tendency of preference so that they can generate preferred colors and images in future by updating image combination and dropping low-preferred ones. This system would play a role as an idea or form generation application in the product design development process.

  • This research is that it could use a theory from a .cognitive science, making a hypothesis to explain the thingking steps of designing, adapting the problem solving of the design from knowledge of a cognitive science, to meet the possiblity which it can be developed the new way of the thinking. Design is a field where it needs a complexity with hi-brain activities. And cognitive science is a science which it study human brain activities. However, it is also quite possible to bo adaped over all design by linking with design and cognitive science. I explaned the ideation of the thinking steps on this study by the knowledge of cognitive science, to observe to be possible. I found out the new ways of possibilities from design thinking process. It is a result that I've been interpretated the design process and the thinking process out of the theory of knowledge structure.

  • 디자인 개발단계에서 가장 창조적인 부분은 아이디어 발상 단계로 아이디어를 구체화하는데 매우 중요한 부분을 차지한다. 많은 그래픽 디자이너들이 활용하고 있는 연상자극법이나 발상전환법, 정보조합법 등은 발상과정에서 초기 키워드를 제시하는데 효과적이지만 컨셉까지 도출해내는 과정에서 한계성이 있다. 컨셉으로 발전시키기 위해서는 핵심 키워드도 중요하지만 문장으로 정리되어야 보다 효과적인 비주얼로 표현할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 연구는 키워드를 문장으로 만들어내는 발상툴에 대한 것으로 국문수사법을 활용하여 명제를 만들고 연상단어를 명제에 대입해 문장으로 만들어 내는 발상법을 제시한다.

  • Design is a realm one should have brought out creativity. So designers have continuously struggled for creating something new. In respects of that the essence of design work is making novel and creative things, and in design process' creative idea generation' to reach a final design solution is one of important capability that designers must have. In this study two different substantial methods for creative idea generation are suggested. One is existing' analogical association', an essential form widely used in association process, another is 'shape elements reconstruction' similarly operated 'shape grammar'. Therefore in this study for finding methods to reinforce designers' creative idea generation both of paper-based and computer-based design method are suggested substantially. In Both there is a common feature that existing or quiet new elements are organizationally associated or reconstructed in idea generation procedure.

  • 본 논문에서는 재난 예방 및 대처에 있어 창의적 발상이 기여할 수 있는 역할과 적용할 수 있는 방법이 무엇인지 모색하고, 그간 이루어 져왔던 아이디어들이 실제 적용되지 못했던 이유와 실패 사례를 확인해보고 그 보완책으로 아이디어 발상에서부터 발전과정의 방법을 찾아보도록 하겠다. 창의적 발상이 가진 장점을 극대화 하며 이론적, 실제적 가치를 만들기 위해 교육 과정에서부터 그 방법이 적용되어야 함을 명시함으로서 이후 재난 예방 및 대처에 있어 긍정적 영향을 미칠것으로 사료된다.

  • To develop a creative design concept, amount of idea thinking between team members is important. In the process of planning to proposal brainstorming helps clarification of problems and allows a creative solution. Here, idea generation is to express thinking into words, and greater amount of idea is more valued than to choose one fine idea at first. This paper studies actual processes of brainstorming, and we utilize network services upgraded in Web and multimedia techniques to develop idea with arrangement. We compare the amount of idea generation by groups and topics with Brainwriting and Braindrawing of Webstorming, without limitation of space and time. Then, we propose a creative idea thinking by analyzing the characteristics of design team members in various aspects. This result will contribute in improving national potential value and design competitiveness by the help of design and IT, on product research and marketing.
