In the case of object detection using deep learning, both accuracy and real-time are required. However, it is difficult to use a deep learning model that processes a large amount of data in a limited resource environment. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an object detection model for small embedded devices. Unlike the general detection model, the model size was minimized by using a structure in which the pre-trained feature extractor was removed. The structure of the model was designed by repeatedly stacking lightweight convolution blocks. In addition, the number of region proposals is greatly reduced to reduce detection overhead. The proposed model was trained and evaluated using the public dataset PASCAL VOC. For quantitative evaluation of the model, detection performance was measured with average precision used in the detection field. And the detection speed was measured in a Raspberry Pi similar to an actual embedded device. Through the experiment, we achieved improved accuracy and faster reasoning speed compared to the existing detection method.
In this paper, we proposed an Atrous Residual U-Net (AR-UNet) to improve the segmentation accuracy of semantic segmentation method based on U-Net. The U-Net is mainly used in fields such as medical image analysis, autonomous vehicles, and remote sensing images. The conventional U-Net lacks extracted features due to the small number of convolution layers in the encoder part. The extracted features are essential for classifying object categories, and if they are insufficient, it causes a problem of lowering the segmentation accuracy. Therefore, to improve this problem, we proposed the AR-UNet using residual learning and ASPP in the encoder. Residual learning improves feature extraction ability and is effective in preventing feature loss and vanishing gradient problems caused by continuous convolutions. In addition, ASPP enables additional feature extraction without reducing the resolution of the feature map. Experiments verified the effectiveness of the AR-UNet with Cityscapes dataset. The experimental results showed that the AR-UNet showed improved segmentation results compared to the conventional U-Net. In this way, AR-UNet can contribute to the advancement of many applications where accuracy is important.
Due to the development of hologram display technology, various studies are being conducted to provide realistic contents for augmented reality. In the case of the HMD for hologram, since augmented reality objects must be rendered by a small processor, it is necessary to use a low-capacity content. To solve this problem, there is a need for a technique of rendering resources by providing resources through a network. In the case of the existing augmented reality system, there is no problem of contents modulation because the resources are loaded and rendered in the internal storage space. However, when providing resources through the network, security problems such as content tampering and malicious code insertion should be considered. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a network rendering technique applying security techniques to provide augmented reality contents in a holographic HMD device.
As IoT Technology develops and Era of Hyperconnectivity comes, various kinds of customized services became available. As a next-generation display, a smart mirror accesses multimedia devices and provides various services, so it can serve as a social learning tool for the children and the old ones, as well as adults who need information. Smart Mirror must be able to identify users for individualized services. However, since the Smart Mirror is an easily accessible device, there is a possibility that information such as an individual's pattern and habit stored in the smart mirror may be exposed to the outside. Also, the other possibility of leakage of personal location information is through personal schedule or appointment stored in the smart mirror, and another possibility that privacy can be violated is through checking the health state via personal photographs. In this research, we propose a system that identify users by the information the users registered about their physique just like their face, one that provides individually customized service to users after identifying them, and one which provides minimal information and service for unauthenticated users.

Corporation, local government and government office provide useful information. Advertisement service is getting various manner. Typical example is electronic display, TV-advertisement and internet or mobile advertisement service. In this paper, I'm study about Taxi-advertisement service still. A similar case is bus or subway advertisement from display. But, Taxi have been only lapping advertisement. Because, Taxi get space restraints. Broadly speaking, Person using Gyeonggi-do to Soeul or Incheon to Soeul is 423million people. On a national basis, it's very amazing figure. However It's just so many person showing one advertisement. So people have no interest in advertisement. So I develop new advertisement system through taxi in the whole country. 254,823 car have passenger personal information and showing people needing advertisement. Also this system get geographical information. This system have high advertisement effect.
As fierce competition is expected in the wearable devices marekt, it is needed to develop a technology planning that can increase consumer acceptance. This study aims to provide implications for technology planning of wearable devices by examining consumer preferences for the devices. For this purpose we employed a conjoint analysis. In the process of the analysis, we considered the trend of anticipatory standardization for wearable devices in an attempt to improve objectivity of analysis whilst many previous studies relied on focus group interview. For the anticipatory standardization information, we utilized liaisons and projects of wearable devices at International Electrotechnical Commission, and we designed a conjoint survey on the basis of the information. We conducted an online survey, and a total of 229 individuals responded to our survey. The result of conjoint analysis shows that main use and enhanced features were more important attributes than the others were. However, consumer preferences for detailed levels of each attribute were different by gender and age groups. This result implies that technology planning of wearable devices require distinct approaches by consumer segments.
There is an increasing interest in manufacturing various electronic devices on a bendable substrate. In this paper, we observed a surface morphology by annealing for 20 minutes at temperatures of 150 ℃, 350 ℃, and 550 ℃, respectively, with samples coated by chromium and aluminum. Data on surfaces are investigated using high-resolution SEM and AFM that can measure roughness up to nm. There is no difference from the sample without heat treatment up to 350 ℃, but the change of crystal grains can be observed at 550 ℃. In the future, for application to the flexible optoelectronic field, additional characteristics such as electrical conductivity and reflectivity will be analyzed and optical devices will be manufactured. In conclusion, we will explore the possibility of applying metal materials to flexible electronic devices.

Backed by the fourth industrial revolution as the background of the research, VR, AR and MR have increased interest and wireless Oculus Quest is releasing, creating hardware recall and continuing virtual reality devices, and game software develop or service VR games using such devices. As a result, it is expected that VR game markets will continue to grow in the future. For this purpose, we understand the technical factors of presence and immersion that appear in virtual reality games and should be able to apply them when we produce VR games. Through the process, we analyzed elements of VR game concept, immersion, and presence and analyzed three games that were commercialized. As a suggestion, we need to take into account presence and immersion characteristics when developing and experiencing virtual reality games in the future.

Lighting has been used for a long time as a medium to convey brightness from darkness, and through incandescent lamps and fluorescent lamps, LED light sources have now become the standard in the lighting industry. Recently, the lighting equipment industry has been undergoing rapid digital transformation, starting with smart lighting, and is evolving into smart lighting customized for individuals and spaces through the development of IoT technology, cloud-based services, and data analysis. However, the blue light emitted from digital devices (computers, smartphones, tablets, etc.) or LED lights stimulates the melanopsin in the optic ganglion cells in the retina of the eye, which in turn stimulates the secretion of melatonin through the pineal gland, which regulates the secretion of melatonin. This can reduce sleep quality or disrupt biological rhythms. This interaction between blue light and melatonin has such a significant impact on human sleep patterns and overall health that it is essential to reduce exposure to blue light, especially in the evening. Human-centered lighting refers to lighting that takes into account the effects of light on the physical and mental areas, such as human activity and awakening, improvement of sleep quality, and health management. Many research institutes study the effects in the visible area and the non-visible area. By studying the impact, it is expected to improve the quality of human life. In this study, we plan to study ways to implement human-centered lighting by collecting sunrise and sunset data and linking commercialized LED packages and control devices with open-source hardware.
First question: what makes inclusive design truly inclusive? Most inclusive design products are far from being appealing to their intended customers. This is mainly because designers are typically concerned with enhancing the usability, and not the emotional value that creates the connection between the product and the users. Typical solutions are larger displays and larger buttons, and these solutions often make the product less tasteful, graceful, and favorable. As a result, such products become less inclusive, veering from the original intention of the designers. Emotional design is not about making fun products, but about enjoyable products. Positive emotional design increases the affection value in products that enable users to create emotional connection with products. With the emotional connection, the user can engage in learning about the product as well as enjoy using the product. This can also resolve most usability issues by increasing the attention level and decreasing boredom. When more people feel that a product is enjoyable, it becomes more inclusive. Second question: Can't inclusive design have innovative value? Most inclusive design products are far from being innovative, and thus, they cannot create market opportunities. While emotional design approach increases value for users, innovative design approach creates value for the businesses. This will eventually promote development of inclusive products. This paper discusses the benefits of emotional design approach in inclusive design. It also argues how emotional design can help make inclusive design more innovative. Accompanied exemplar design process illustrates how emotional design contributes to inclusive design and how it leads to innovative products.
