A Study on Dynamic Test of Safety System Software on Nuclear Power Plant (원자력발전소 안전계통 소프트웨어의 동적시험에 관한 연구)

  • In recently, the safety system software of the nuclear power plant has been verified and validated according to ANSI/IEEE-ANS-7-4.3.2-1982 to improve the reliability. This standard requires that safety-related software should be tested in the static and dynamic environments. In case of Inadequate Core Cooling Monitoring System (ICCMS), the static test procedure and related techniques are developed but the dynamic test procedure and related techniques are not developed. Therefore, this paper discusses the undeveloped techniques, and suggests the dynamic test procedure and the program for generation of test input data. The performance of the program was identified using accident analysis report of Ulchin 3&4 Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR).

  • 2007년 1월 20일 20시 56분경 오대산 부근에서 발생한 지진이 제주도를 제외한 전국에서 감지되어 우리 생활에 직접적인 영향을 끼치는 등 더 이상 우리나라도 지진에 안전한 나라가 아니라는 것이 입증되고 있으며, 정부에서도 자연재해대책법에 통신설비에 대한 내진설계 의무화 규정을 포함시켜 현재 시행을 눈앞에 두고 있는 시점에서 통신시설물에 대한 내진성능 평가와 내진대책 수립이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 지진 발생시에 가장 민감하게 반웅하며 피해가 클 것으로 예상되는 통신 장치랙에 대하여 전력설비의 내진성능 검증에 사용되는 인공 지진파와 미국에서 측정한 실측 지진파를 진동대에 입력, 지진모사 실험을 실시하여 지진시 발생할 수 있는 통신장비의 기능 이상 유무를 확인하고 동적 거동 특성을 분석함으로써 장치랙이 보유한 내진성능을 도출하여 보았다. 이러한 지진모사 실험은 향후 통신 장치랙의 내진성능을 평가하는 기준을 수립하는데 중요한 기초자료로 활용될 것이라 판단된다.

  • 전통적일 파일 캐쉬나 가상 메모리 시스템과 웹 캐쉬는 다르다. 웹 캐쉬는 WWW상에서 작게는 수백 바이트에서 크게는 수십 메가바이트에 이르는 다양한 크기의 개체를 다루어야 한다. 다양한 크기의 개체를 다루는데 따른 문제점은 캐쉬 성능을 판단하는 매트릭스가 단순한 hit rate가 아니라는 것이다. 기본적인 웹 캐쉬의 성능 매트릭스로는 HR(cache hit rate)와 BHR(byte cache hit rate)가 있으며, 기존에 제시된 캐쉬 정책들은 두 가지 중 하나만을 만족하거나 아니면 어느 것도 만족하지 않는 경우가 대부분이다. 트레이스 드리븐 방식을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통하여, 기존에 우수성이 입증된 캐쉬 대체 정책과 우리가 제시한 TYPE 대체 정책을 HR과 BHR을 기준으로 비교한다. 우리가 제시한, 파일 타입에 대해 동적으로 할당된 캐쉬 공간을 갖는 캐쉬 대체기법은 각각의 두 성능 매트릭스에 대해서 골고루 우수한 성능을 보였다.

Safety Evaluation of the Dynamic Behavior of HEMU-430X using the Accelerometers of UIC 518 OR (UIC 518 OR의 가속도계를 이용한 차세대고속열차(HEMU-430X) 동적 거동 안전성 평가)

  • The next generation high-speed train(HEMU-430X) is Korea's first electric multiple unit type, high speed vehicle resulting from a national R&D project. Tests have been conducted on the Kyungbu High Speed Line running at speeds up to 354.64km/h, and analysis of the dynamic behavior of the train was carried out to evaluate its safety. In this study, a simplified method using an accelerometer(the method specified in UIC 518 OR) was chosen to analyze the safety of the train's dynamic behavior. The section chosen for analysis section was ${\pm}10{\sim}20km/h$ with respect to the maximum speed point. In addition, we analyzed the trend of this dynamic behavior with increasing speed by comparing the analyzed values with those of UIC 518 OR. The dynamic behavior results met the limit values of UIC 518 OR and the study indicates that this trend is predicted to continue at speeds above 354km/h.

Analytical Research on Dynamic Behavior of Steel Composite Lower Railway Bridge (강합성 하로 철도교의 동적거동에 대한 해석적 연구)

  • The existing middle-long span railway bridge has been mainly applied to steel box girder bridges. However, the steel box girder bridges have disadvantages in securing the space under the bridge, and the main girder is made of a thin plate box shape, resulting in a ringing noise due to the vibration. Many complaints about noise have been raised. For this reason, there is a need for the development of long railway bridges that can replace steel box girder bridges. In this paper, the characteristics of the steel composite railway bridge currently developed were introduced and a time history analysis was conducted using MIDAS Civil reflecting the speed of KTX load for 40m and 50m bridges. In addition, from the analysis results, the dynamic behavior of target bridges were verified and it was examined whether they meet the dynamic performance criteria proposed in the railway design standards. As a result, all of the bridges under review satisfied the dynamic safety criteria, however, in case of 40m of span, the vertical acceleration value was very large. In order to solve this problem, authors proposed the improvement plan and corrected the cross section to confirm that the vertical acceleration decreased.

  • 본 논문에서는 다차원 데이터의 유사도 검색을 효과적으로 수행하기 위한 색인 구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 색인 구조는 차원의 저주 현상을 극복하기 위한 벡터 근사 기반의 색인 구조이다. 제안하는 색인 구조는 부모 노드를 기준으로 KDB-트리와 유사한 영역 분할 방식으로 분할하고 분할된 각 영역은 데이터의 분포 특성에 따라 동적 비트를 할당하여 벡터 근사화된 영역을 표현한다. 따라서, 하나의 노드 안에 않은 영역 정보를 저장하여 트리의 깊이를 줄일 수 있다. 또한 다차원의 특징 벡터 공간에 상대적인 비트를 할당하기 때문에 군집화되어 있는 데이터에 대해서 효과적이다 제안하는 색인 구조의 우수성을 보이기 위해 다양한 실험을 통하여 성능의 우수성을 입증한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 통신용 단말기에 주로 사용되는 RF-chip inductor의 자동 외관검사를 위한 시스템 개발에 필요한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 영상취득 후 처리과정에서 동적 이진화 방법, 가산투영 등 영상처리에 관련된 방법을 이용해 코일 부분과 코어부분을 분리한 후 세선화 방법, 라벨링 방법 등을 적용하여 분리된 코일부분에 대해 코일의 감긴 회수와 피치간격의 불균일 검사를 수행하고 기준값 이상의 오차를 갖는 소자를 불량으로 처리하는 보다 개선된 처리방법을 제안하였으며 모의실험을 통해 성능을 검증하였다.

  • Among the procedure of automatic fingerprint recognition, binary code is important for the optimum thinning and singular point extraction while reserving the fingerprint image data. Binarization is to convert gray scale images into 0s and 255s values. For this conversion, you should set up the proper threshold value not to lose fingerprint image data. In this paper, we suggest the method to extract the standard threshold in real-time from fingerprint images entered by applying artificial intelligent methods in the binary code procedure. We show improved features while comparing the experiment results with the existing methods.

Study of Structural Stability and Seismic Performances of 4-Way Sway Prevention Brace (4방향흔들림방지버팀대의 구조 안정성 및 내진 성능 연구)

  • Purpose: In this study, we developed a 4-way sway prevention brace that efficiently reduces the installation area and has excellent stability and seismic performance compared to the conventionl sway prevention brace used in existing firefighting facilities. The performance and reliability of the developed 4-way way prevention brace were analyzed by the tensile, compression tests and seismic tests. Method: As the static test, 4-way sway prevention braces were installed on the horizontal and vertical pipes to perform the tensile and compression tests based on the KFI certification standard and the maximum movement was measured at the rated load. As a dynamic test, 4-way sway prevention braces were installed in the pipes filled with water, and the test response spectrum to the input excitation wave were measured through the acceleration sensors. After the seismic tests, separation, failure, and local deformation of the pipes, and 4-way sway prevention braces were not observed. Result: The results of the tensile and compression tests indicated that the maximum movement of the pipe during tension and compression was 50% to 70% or less compared to the certification values, indicating that the performances of the 4-way sway prevention braces were very excellent. The results of the the seismic tests indicated that the test response spectrum of the 4-way sway prevention braces is within the required response spectrum. Conclusion: In this study, it was found that the 4-way sway prevention braces satisfied the KFI certification standard and were superior compared to the existing sway prevention brace in terms of the stability, cost, and installation area.

Evaluation of seismic performance of road tunnels in operation (운영 중인 도로 터널의 내진 성능 평가)

  • This study evaluates the seismic performance of road tunnels designed before the provisions for seismic design of tunnels were first established in 1999. Extensive design data and site investigation reports are investigated to select tunnels sections that are considered to be most susceptible to seismically induced damage under earthquake loading. Detailed analyses are performed on selected tunnels. The methods used are method of displacement and dynamic analysis. In performing the method of displacement, which is a type of pseudo-static analysis method used for underground structures, full domain and reduced domain modeling were used. The dynamic analyses are performed using finite difference method and using nonlinear constitutive model. Comparisons show that the reduced domain method of displacement match very closely with the dynamic analysis, demonstrating that it is the most suitable method for evaluating the seismic performance of road tunnels built in rocks. It is also shown that road tunnels, for which seismic design were not applied, are safe under the seismic risks corresponding to an earthquake with a return period 1000 years. It is concluded that additional seismic retrofit of tunnels is not necessary.
