The Effect of Proactive Personality on Creativity : Direct Effect, and Moderating Effect of Organizational Identification and Competitive Climate (주도적 성격이 창의성에 미치는 효과 : 주효과 및 조직동일시와 경쟁적 분위기의 조절효과)

  • Under highly uncertain environment, the importance of creativity has been emphasized to maintain firm's competitive advantage. To identify the antecedents in boosting creativity at the individual level, this study analyzed the direct effect of proactive personality on creativity. In addition, this paper also proposed and tested the moderating effects of organizational identification and competitive climate on the relationship between proactive personality and creativity. Empirical results using 127 R&D researchers at three major R&D institutes of large-firm in Korea revealed that proactive personality significantly enhanced the creativity. Moreover, organizational identification and competitive climate have positively strengthened the effect of proactive personality on creativity. Finally, implications, limitations, and direction of future studies were discussed.

  • This study intended to verify the impact of non-verbal communication of servers in the service industry on the affective path among customer's positive emotion, self-identification, and loyalty(behavioral and attitudinal loyalty). The data of 397 customers of typical fast food restaurants in Busan and Gyeongsangbuk-do area were analyzed with SPSS and AMOS, and the hypotheses were verified through structural equation model after frequency analysis, as well as exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. According to the empirical analysis, all three components of server non-verbal communication in the service industry, body language, pseudo language, and body appearance, in respective order, had positive (+) influences on the positive emotion of customers. In addition, customer emotion had a positive (+) influence on brand self-identification. Finally, self-identification had a positive (+) influence on behavior loyalty and attitudinal loyalty. This study suggested practical implications and logical implications in the course of developing emotional loyalty for restaurant companies.

  • This study attempted to test not only the influence of transformational leadership(TFL) on employees' unethical pro-organizational behavior(UPB), but also the mediating effect of organizational identification(OID) between TFL and employees' UPB. This study employed two research methods: literature review and empirical testing of the developed hypotheses. Data were collected through online questionnaire instruments from 229 employees working at companies in Korea. To test the hypotheses, structural equation modeling was employed. The model is shown as adequately fitting to the data. The results showed that there was not a positive and statistically significant relationship between TFL and employees' UPB, and OID played as a mediator in the relationship between TFL and employees' UPB. These findings provide a meaningful implication that the positive impact of TFL is linked to employees' UPB through OID.

  • This study is to learn if and how company-consumer identification in regard of Chinese consumers influences the consumers' behavioral responses with their evaluation on Korean products. To be learned also is differential influences on company-consumer identification generated by two different factors of corporate image, which are corporate ability and corporate social responsibility, through Structural Equation Modeling. The results obtained by actual analysis are as follows. First, both corporate ability and corporate social responsibility turn out to be positively influential on company-consumer identification. Second, the company-consumer identification as to the Korean companies displayed by Chinese consumers induces positive influences on Korean products, which in turn induces positive influences on Chinese consumers' behavioral responses. These results suggest that in the future the Korean companies already settled in China not only need to enhance corporate ability but also have to give efforts on corporate social responsibility in order to improve their continuous and long-term relationship with Chinese consumers.

  • The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of compassion on collective self esteem through positive work-related identity, and to demonstrate the mediating effect of positive work-related identity and the moderating effect of organizational identification. In this study, The data collection was targeted at 369 social workers working in 13 social welfare facilities and institutions in Gyeonggi Province and 12 in Seoul from April 1 to April 25, 2018. It was demonstrated that compassion had a positive effect on positive work-related identity. Also, it was proved that positive work-related identity had a positive effect on collective self esteem, and mediating effect of positive work-related identity and moderating effect of organizational identification were also significant. Therefore, this study suggests social workers experienced compassion will have positive work-related identity, collective self esteem, and organizational identification.

  • This study investigated the mediating role that subordinates' job satisfaction might play in influencing the relationships between abusive supervision and subordinates' organizational identification and workplace deviance behavior(WDB-O). With data gathered from employees(N=281) representing a wide array of organizations, structural equation modeling was used to test hypotheses. The results showed that abusive supervision is negatively related to job satisfaction and consequently organizational identification, positively associated with organizational deviance behavior through job satisfaction indirectly and has a direct effect on WDB-O.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand interrelationships among the congruence of brand personality of family restaurants with the self image of customers, brand identification, and loyalty. The results showed a positive relationship between congruence of brand personality of family restaurants with the self image of customers and brand identification. However, the congruence of brand personality of family restaurants with the self image of customers does not have a direct effect on brand loyalty, and congruence of self image with a pertinent brand is perceived through brand identification. In addition, it was found that the brand identification of family restaurants has a positive effect on brand loyalty. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

The Effects of Perceived Consumption Value on Brand Identification, Emotional Commitment and Behavioral Commitment (지각된 소비가치가 브랜드 동일시, 감정몰입 및 행동몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify consumers' perceived consumption values and to examine the causal relationship between perceived consumption values, brand identification, emotional Absorption and behavioral commitment. Undergraduate students(N=210) were participated in the survey and the structural equation modeling was utilized for data analysis. The results of this study show that; first, psychological value and personality value have positive effects on brand identification but there was no significant relationship between functional value and brand identification; second, brand identification have positive effects on emotional commitment and behavioral commitment; third, the relationship between emotional commitment and behavioral commitment was not significant; fourth, the effect of psychological value on brand identification was higher than the effect of personality value on brand identification. Based on these results, several recommendations for company are discussed and future research directions are outlined.

  • The purpose of this study was to empirically examine how the perception of CSR of domestic professional baseball clubs was related to the reputation of clubs, identification of clubs, and parent company image. For the research, a survey was conducted by 277 fans of LG Twins, Doosan Bears, SK Wyverns, and KT Wiz in the metropolitan area. First, the reputation of the club had a positive impact on club reputation. Second, CSR of professional baseball clubs had a positive impact on club identification. Third, the reputation of the club had a positive impact on the image of the professional baseball team. Fourth, the identification of clubs had a positive effect on the image of the professional baseball team's mother-company.

Impacts of Coffee Shop Companies' Mecenat Activity on Identification, Corporate Image, Love Mark and Loyalty (커피전문점 기업의 메세나 활동이 동일시, 기업이미지, 러브마크, 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study would investigate the impacts of coffee shop companies' mecenat activity on identification, corporate image, love mark and loyalty. For sampling, an investigator who visited the coffee shops in person conducted surveys with customers. 800 copies were distributed for 11 days from May 23 through June 2, 2018, and excluding unreliable questionnaires from the collected questionnaires, 711 copies were used in the final analysis. As a result of the analysis, it turned out that the higher social contribution, purity, public interest and preference, the higher identification became. Also, the higher social contribution, public interest and preference, the higher corporate image became. On the other hand, it turned out that purity had a negative (-) impact on the corporate image. It turned out that purity and preference had positive impacts on the love mark, while did not affect social contribution, while public interest had a negative (-) impact on that. It turned out that identification had a positive impact on the corporate image, and identification and corporate image had positive impacts on the love mark. Also, identification, corporate image and love mark had positive impacts on loyalty. It is expected that the above research result would provide practical implications for coffee shop companies' marketing techniques in the future, and further, it is judged that it would play a positive role in the quality of life of consumers who experience coffee shop companies' mecenat activity.
