  • In this paper, We proposed a pseudo-random bit sequence generator based on the concept of n-dimensional cellular automata which is a method of analyzing dynamical systems. The proposed generator is designed for using and disusing key. And the key size is variable from 128 bits to 256 bits. The generator was estimated to generate 380Mbits/sec under Pentium MMX 200MHz (64M RAM, Windows 98).

  • Generally, structural optimization is carried out based on external static loads. All forces have dynamic characteristics in the real world. Mathematical optimization with dynamic loads is extremely difficult in a large-scale problem due to the behaviors in the time domain. In practical applications, it is customary to transform the dynamic loads into static loads by dynamic factors, design codes, and etc. But the optimization results with the unreasonably transformed loads cannot give us good solutions. Recently, a systematic transformation has been proposed as an engineering algorithm. Equivalent static loads are made to generate the same displacement field as the one from dynamic loads at each time step of dynamic analysis. Thus, many load cases are used as the multiple loading conditions which are not costly to include in modem structural optimization. In this research, the proposed algorithm is applied to the optimization of flexible multibody dynamic systems. The equivalent static load is derived from the equations of motion of a flexible multibody dynamic system. A few examples that have been solved before are solved to be compared with the results from the proposed algorithm.

[3]. • This paper introduces a fast Fourier transform (FFT)-based spectral analysis method for the transient responses as well as the steady-state responses of linear dynamic systems with non-proportional damping. The force vibration of a non-proportionally damped three-DOF system is considered as the illustrative numerical example. The proposed spectral analysis method is evaluated by comparing with the numerical solution obtained by the Runge-Kutta method

  • VAXIMA is a computer software which gives us results in terms of parameters. We use VAXIMA to analyze quantitatively a conservative dynamical system with cubic and quintic nonlinear terms. The system is described by a nonlinear second-order autonomous ordinary differential equation. Using the Lindstedt-Poincare method, we obtain period-amplitude characteristics. In order to check the validity of the approximate solution, we integrate numerically the equation of motion.

  • Since the influence coefficients method in balancing of rotors is developed with the basement of not the principle of rotor system dynamics, but the linear relationshop of between the measuring quantities and the unbalance quantities, field engineers can apply the method without additional understanding on the rotor dynamics. But the influence coefficients method is not robust to the measurement error. This paper proposes a new method for the two plane balancing of rigid rotor, based on the principle of rotor dynamics. And the kit for experiment is made by ourselves, and in order to measure in the same condition with it, we do a experiment three times. And then with the Response of gap sensor, the SNR(Signal and Noise) is compared and analyzed about measuring error between the influence coefficient method, and the new method, and it is proved that the new method is less robust than the influence coefficient method.

  • Cellular automata (CA), which is known as a pseudo random number generator due to its excellent randomness, has various applications. Cho et al. designed a CA-based shrinking generator to generate a long period of nonlinear sequence. In addition, chaotic cat maps have been studied by many researchers as the complex nonlinear dynamics systems with sensitivity in initial conditions and unpredictable characteristics. In this paper, we propose a new image encryption method using nonlinear sequence generated by CA-based shrinking generator with maximum period and 3D chaotic cat map for high security.

  • Electric components equipped with naval shipboards must endure mechanical shock caused by various mechanical impulsive sources. Thus the components must be designed carefully and reliability test is an essential procedure before use. In this study, a new design technology applicable to a large and heavy shock generation system which can generate various specific real mechanical shocks in specified time domain was introduced. Commonly, the shock transmitted through the wall of naval shipboard consists of dual shocks. The primary shock is of a very high amplitude and very short period half-sine form. The following shock is of an exponentially decaying harmonic form of relatively longer period. Based on the different dynamic characteristics of two shocks, we proposed a sequential design procedure to determine spring and damping coefficients of the generation system. Some numerical simulation results showed the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • Irregular motions of nonlinear dynamic system are the result of an intrinsic characteristics that the system have, and sometimes occur unpredictable large motion. For a ship in a regular seaway, the capsizing occur because of this unexpectable motion. So, from the safety's point of view, nonlinear ship motions should be treated carefully. In this study, stable and unstable regions are investigated firstly under the variation of a control external force. Secondly, we consider the attractors to know how ship motions of the stable region that does not undergo capsizing change. Thirdly, bifurcation diagram is considered to study the range in detail where nonlinear chaotic motions are occurred.
