Collection Characteristics of Multi-layer Multi-stage Porous Plate System (다층 다단 다공성 플레이트 시스템의 집진 특성)

  • The main object of this study is to investigate the collection characteristics of multi-layer multi-stage porous plate system experimentally. The experiment is carried out to analyze the characteristics of pressure drop and collection efficiency for the present system with the experimental parameters such as inlet velocity, tube diameter, inlet concentration, and stage number, etc. In results, the pressure drop becomes 22 to $115mmH_2O$ with increment of stage number (1 to 5) of porous plate system at tube velocity 15 m/s and tube diameter ${\Phi}8$. In case of fly ash and 5 stage, the collection efficiency becomes 90.5 to 95.7% increasing the tube velocity 12 to 15 m/s at inlet concentration $3g/m^3$ and tube diameter ${\Phi}8$. Additionally, it is estimated that the collection efficiencies of 5 stage are 94.3, 95.6 and 99.1% for fly ash, steel dust and based power, respectively (${\Phi}8$ tube, $V_t$ = 12m/s, inlet concentration $3g/m^3$).

  • 티타늄과 티타늄 합금은 재료적 특이성 때문에 심장 혈관 임플란트에서 일반적으로 사용되어 왔다. 일찍이 적용된 예로는 인공심장판막, 심박조율기의 보호케이스, 혈액 순환 장치 등이 있다. 하지만 물질유도혈전증(Material-induced thrombosis)은 혈전폐색에 의해 기인한 기능 손실로 심장혈관 임플란트 장치의 주된 합병증으로 존재하고 있으며, 심장혈관 임플란트의 혈전유전자는 심장혈관장치의 발달에 주된 난관 중 하나로 남아있다. 그리고 텍스처 혈액 접합 물질(Textured blood-contacting material)은 1960년대 초반 이후부터 혈액순환 보조 장치의 임상실험에 사용되고 있다. 접합 물질에 내장된 텍스처 섬유조직 표면은 형성, 성장, 안정적 부착, 생물학적 내벽(neointimal layer) 등 유도 혈액(entrapping blood) 성분에 의해 형성된다. 공동(cavity) 형상의 용해 가능한 미립자를 사용하는 SCPL법(Solvent casting/particulate leaching method)은 티타늄 기질 이전에 형성된 폴리우레탄 위에 텍스처(texture)를 생성하기 위해 사용되었다. 또한 콜라겐의 부동화(不動化)에 의한 공동(cavity)은 혈액 접합면에 잔존하기 위한 내피세포를 고정할 수 있는 효과가 있다. cpTi로 층화된 PU 기소공성(microporous)은 구조적 특성과 혈전증 감소를 위한 생물학적 내벽 사용의 잠재성을 평가하기 위한 세포 공동체 실험을 통해서 평가되었다.

Damping and Transmission Loss of Polyurethane Multi-Layer (폴리우레탄 다층구조의 감치 및 투과손실)

  • Polyurethane multi-layer and foam multi-layer were prepared with PU1000 and PU2000 made by poly(propylene glycol) (PPG) having the molecular weight of 1000 and 2000 g/mol, respectively. The damping and transmission loss of these materials were compared with PU1000 used as a reference. The damping peak of polyurethane multi-layer was shifted to the lower temperature compared with PU1000, while the damping peak of polyurethane foam multi-layer was shifted to the higher temperature and broaden. In terms of noise reduction, the transmission loss of polyurethane multi-layer was effective at the specific frequency range such as less than 100 Hz and around 600 Hz compared with PU1000. The transmission loss of polyurethane foam multi-layer was most effective in the whole experimental frequency range.

  • When the wind speed changes rapidly, the wind turbine is stopped for the safety of the power system and the mechanical system. At that moment, the wind turbine gearbox is damaged and broken due to the contact load of the gearbox. In addition, the problems such as increasing frictional heat and deteriorate of the brake occur, because the power of the blades is transmitted directly to the brakes. This paper proposes a hybrid magnetic gear shape that solves the problem caused by the contact of the mechanical gear, which is the power transmission device of the wind power generation system, and the power cutoff system. The shape of the hybrid magnetic gearsuitable for the wind power generation system is derived through the torque and loss analysis according to the shape of the hybrid magnetic gear by using the two dimensional finite analysis method.

  • Development of light-weight high speed train (HST) based on distributed motor control with the top speed of 350 km/hr has engendered a need for abatement of the interior noise of the train cabin. The development of noise abatement measures is crucial at the design stage of the train car since the noise transmission characteristics of the car structure directly influences the cabin interior noise. Since the transmission loss measurement using the entire car structure is often not feasible, especially at the initial stages of the train development, investigation of transmission characteristics using small-scale reverberation chamber can furnish useful alternative source of predicting the noise level. In the present study, white noise is generated at source and transmission loss estimated by performing measurement of a specimen in a scaled reverberation chamber. Comparison of measured values with the previously derived numerical values show good agreement in the overall trend but appreciable quantitative differences still remain.

Numerical Analysis of Transmission Loss Prediction in High Speed Trains (전산해석을 이용한 동력 분산형 고속철도차량의 투과손실 예측)

  • An analysis tool for predicting transmission loss in high speed trains based on combined use of the statistical energy analysis and the finite element methods has been proposed. The analysis utilizes a commercially available numerical solver VA ONE with imbedded NASTRAN module. The proposed analysis tool is first verified by comparing numerically predicted transmission loss of a light rail transport(LRT) structure with experimental results. The comparison shows that the numerically predicted transmission loss is similar to the experimental data. The analysis tool is then applied to the prediction of transmission loss in the high speed train(HST) currently under development. Various sub-structures such as the floor, side panel and ceiling have been numerically analyzed to predict their transmission losses. The results obtained here can be used as input data for predicting the interior noise level of the HST at design stage.

  • An improved hydrostatic unit(HSU) model is proposed by considering the flow loss in order to analyze the power flow characteristics of a hydromechanical transmission(HMT) and a network analysis algorithm is presented to determine the torque and speed of each element of the HMT. To calculate the torque and flow loss of a pump and a motor in HSU, an effort and flow concept is introduced, which can be used to establish a torque and speed matrix in the network analysis. It is found from the network analysis that magnitude of the HSU stroke increases to maintain the same output speed in order to compensate the flow Boss in the HSU and the efficiency of the HMT shows the lowest value in the 1st speed since the HSU has the largest flow loss in the 1st speed and the flow loss decreases as the speed ratio upshifts.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 차세대 대체에너지로 각광받는 풍력발전 중에서 육상발전보다 여러 가지 이점이 있는 해상에서의 한국형 풍력터빈 블레이드의 최적 형상을 위 한 알고리즘을 구현하는 것이다. 풍력터빈 블레이드에서 깃익형의 공기 역학적 특성은 매우 중요한 사항이다. 이를 위해서 익형 성능예측에 층류에서 난류로의 천이과정을 포함하는 XFOIL을 이용하여 블레이드 익형 단면의 양력과 항력 분포를 해석하였다. 첫 번째 수준의 설계변수는 운용범위내의 바람의 속도와 블레이드 지름, 축 회전수이며, 각 단면에서의 비틀림각과 시위길이는 두 번째 수준의 설계 변수이다. 운용범위 내의 각 설계점에서 익형의 공력 변수들과 최소에 너지손실 조건을 이용하여 시위길이와 피치각 분포를 최적화하였다. 각각의 설계점에서 결과를 바탕으로 풍력발전의 설계 운용범위에서 반응면을 구성하고 구배최적화 기법을 통해 요구동력의 제약함수를 만족하고 효율을 최대로 하는 블레이드 형상을 구현하였다. 최적형상에 대해 탈설계점 해석을 수행하여 그 성능을 구하였다.

Optimal Rotor Blade Design for Tidal In-stream Energy (조류발전용 로터 블레이드의 최적 형상 설계)

  • Marine current energy is one of the most interesting renewable and clean energy resources that have been less exploited. Especially, Korea has worldwide outstanding tidal current energy resources and it is highly required to develop tidal in-stream energy conversion system in coastal area. The objective of study is to investigate harnessing techniques of tidal current energy and to design the a 100 kW horizontal axis tidal turbine using blade element momentum theory with Prandtl's tip loss factor for optimal design procedures. In addition, Influence of Prandtl's tip loss factor at local blade positions as a function of tip speed ratio was studied, and the analysed results showed that power coefficient of designed rotor blade using NACA 63812 was 0.49 at rated tip speed ratio.

A Study on the Improvement of New Growth Engine Fund Management Ways by PEF Vehicle (사모투자펀드 기구를 이용한 신성장동력투자펀드 운용방식의 개선에 관한 연구)

  • Korean Government has supplied small-medium enterprises with various technology financing programs such as R&D grant." loans, equities, guarantees since 1980's. The purpose of this study is to render policy suggestions for policy makers by analysing problems with regard to regulations. The suggestions of this study are such as the following. First, the current three months of the fund formation period should be extended within six months for general partners to have enough time to raise funds in the current tough capital market situation. Second, the government's non priority loss devotion system should keep going to prevent general partner's moral hazard. Third, in order to fulfill the policy purpose that is to create globally well-known companies, the government investment ratio should scale up from the current 20% to 30% of the total fund size in that the stable capital supply for core technology commercialization, industrialization and globalization of companies is achieved. Finally, general partners of the New Growth Engine Fund should showoff their investment abilities to the potential investors such as institutional investors by accumulating all track records and know-hows that prove their specialities and implementing action plans to achieve the best result of their investment. This study provides general considerations of the selection procedure, the government investment ratio, the government priority loss devotion system and so on when formating the public funds.
