  • 국내에 보급된 방제기는 인력분무기, 동력 분무기, 동력 살분무기, 스피드 스프레이어, 붐방제기 등이 있다. 그 중 동력경운기에 탑재하거나 트랙터에 견인되는 동력분무기를 주축으로 기계화되어 있다. 작은 입경의 분무입자로서 가급적 적정량을 균일하게 뿌릴 때 방제효율을 높일 수 있는데도 불구하고, 동력분무기에 의한 액제 살포는 원거리 살포에 따라 분무입자의 입경 분포가 다양하며 대부분 분무입자가 매우 크므로 고른 살포를 기대하기 어렵기 때문에 약액을 1000대 1로 희석하여 흠뻑 적실 정도로 다량 살포를 하여 살포효율을 높이고 있다. 그러나 이러한 방제 방법은 효율성, 작업능률과 환경의 오염 측면에서 상당한 문제로 지적되고 있다. Comparison of Pesticide Residue Amounts in Apple Trees Applied by Different Sprayers and Spray Volumes (살포기 종류별 살포물량별 사과 중 농약 잔류량의 비교)

  • This study was conducted to compare of the pesticide residue amounts in fruit trees applied by different sprayers and spray volumes. Apple tree was used as a sample tree, and speed sprayer, power sprayer and knapsack motorized sprayer were tested. For similar sprayer and spray volume, the concentration of fluquinconazole and flusilazole in apple leaves were obtained respectively, for speed sprayer 8.33 and 2.15 mg/kg, for power sprayer 4.56 and 1.10 mg/kg, and for knapsack 4.55 and 1.12 mg/kg. The results showed that the treatment using speed sprayer had highest efficiency. The pesticide residues in apple leaves sprayed by 3 different spray volumes (560, 336 and 230 L/10a) using speed sprayer were 10.76 mg/kg, 8.32 mg/kg, 6.04 mg/kg on fluqinconazle and 3.04 mg/kg, 2.14 mg/kg and 1.47 mg/kg on flusilazole, respectively, indicating that the higher the volume, the higher the residues. The results from this study can be used as scientific basis for evaluating the field trial data for pesticide registration and the spray volume setting for fruit trees in Korea.

Evaluation of Exposure to Pyrethroid Pesticides according to Sprayer Type using Biological Monitoring (생물학적 모니터링을 이용한 분무기 형태에 따른 피레스로이드 농약 노출량 평가)

  • The aim of this study were to evaluate the exposure level of pyrethroid pesticide according to spraying machine type. The urinary metabolites of pyrethroid pesticide in apple farmers were analyzed to determine the exposure level of pyrethroid pesticide. The result shows that, the spraying volume was greater in SS sprayer group than in power sprayer group. But multi variate analysis which adjust spraying volume and field area, there were no difference of urinary metabolites between two sprayer machine. To make more accurate model of pesticide exposure, the factors influencing pesticide exposure should be determined and further study should be done.

Effect of field location and spray device on pesticide residue in chilli peppers (농약 살포조건이 고추열매 중 잔류에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out to clarify effects of field location and sprayer on the level of pesticide residue in chilli peppers. As confirmed by statistical analysis, the residue levels in green pepper among three greenhouses did not show significant difference at the first day after spraying with the same engine sprayer and nozzle. But the residue levels in green peppers collected from the exposed outside of crop were 2 times higher than those from the hidden inside. The sampling site was one of variation elements of pesticide residue. The residue levels after application by knapsack engine powered sprayer were 1.7 times higher than those by manual compressed sprayer. As the spraying pressure of the engine power sprayer is 2 times higher than the commonly used pressure of the manual compressed sprayer, the pressure of the sprayer and nozzles were considered to affect on the residue levels in peppers.

The proposal for pesticide exposure estimation of Korean orchard farmer (과수 농작업자 농약노출량 산정법 제안)

  • This research was carried out to propose the Korean method for estimating the agricultural occupational pesticide exposure level in orchard. The UK-POEM (UK-Predictive Operator Exposure Model) was proposed as a bench-marking model and analysed its performance properties. To extrapolate the Korean agricultural conditions, application equipment, application method, work rate per day, application volume and spraying time of pesticide was surveyed for Korean 204 orchard farmhouse. This survey indicate that the major application equipments are speed sprayer(64.9%) and motor sprayer(33.9%). When they spayed the pesticide with a speed sprayer, they worked for more than 4 hours on area of 4 ha per day. In case of using motor sprayer, they worked for more than 4 hours on area of 1 ha. Based on the above survey result, Korean method for estimating the pesticide exposure level of agricultural worker was proposed finally.

  • Objectives: The objectives of the present study were to establish the exposure monitoring method of chlorpyrifos and chlorothalonil application to pear and field red pepper by vehicle-mounted sprayer, hand-held sprayer and to assess the risk. Methods and Results: Chlorpyrifos met all of requirements of sampling and analysis method(U.S. EPA), but chlorothalonil met only dermal patch method. Potential dermal and inhalation exposure was evaluated in 42 farmers. Compared with the hand-held sprayer application, vehicle mounted sprayer demonstrated producing relatively lower dermal exposure levels with statistical significance. In dermal exposure during hand-held application, there is no significant difference between pear and red pepper. Conclusions: This results show that application method is the main factor of dermal exposure. There was no statistically significant difference between each group of respiratory exposure level. The margin of safety (MOS) was calculated to assess the risk of pesticide exposure. All Chlorpyrifos MOS values are lower than 0.2, which mean working conditions are unsafe. In order to protect farmers, big efforts to control exposure are needed.

  • 우리나라의 방제작업은 주로 소형 동력분무기를 이용한 것으로서 총포형 노즐을 사용한다. 그러나 이 방법은 농약의 살포량 조절이 어렵고 불균일한 살포로 방제효과가 높지 못하여 개선이 요구된다. 또한 필요량보다 많이 뿌려 흘러내릴 정도로 살포하므로 환경에 악영향을 미칠 가능성이 높고, 농산물 안정성에도 불신을 초래하고 있다. 붐방제기는 이런 요구에 부응하는 대체 방제기계이지만, 우리나라에서는 수도작용을 중심으로 보급되었다. (중략)

  • 벼농사의 노력과 비용을 최소화하기 위한 한 방법으로서 직파 기술이 이용되고 있으며 2001년 직파재배 면적은 건답직파 30,000㏊, 담수직파 42,800㏊로 담수직파 재배면적이 전체 직파재배 면적의 58%를 차지하고 있다. 담수 직파작업의 파종은 대부분 동력살분무기를 이용하고 있으나 파종균일도가 낮고 송풍에 의한 최아종자의 싹이 손상되는 문제에 의해 입모율이 떨어지는 문제점이 있다. (중략)

Atomizing Mechanism for a Mist Blower (동력살분무기의 무화기구에 관한 연구)

  • Droplet sizes produced from a mist blower should be adequate to get highly biological effects with a reasonable level of work performance. However the droplet sizes from the conventional nozzles of the mist blower were around VMD 95 to 469$\mu$ which were relatively large as compared with the recommended droplet sizes in liquid flow rate of 17.2 m$/ell$s with air flow rate of 16660$m^3$/s on the maximum travel distance of about 4.0 m. The velocity of air stream at the point where two fluids, air and liquid, impact each other, was tried to maximize as much as possible in order to enhance the atomization performance of a newly designed twin fluid nozzles with the same or better level of performance of the conventional mist blower, The configuration of nozzle orifice should be designed to enlarge the contact area between air and liquid to enhance the atomization.
