College Student Volunteers' Motivations, Benefits, Satisfactions to Volunteer in Mobile Phone Education for the Elderly (노인 휴대폰활용교육 대학생 봉사자들의 자원봉사 참여동기, 성취, 만족도)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze motivations, benefits, and satisfactions of the college student volunteers. We carry out the pre-to-post survey with 615 college student volunteers (male 245, female 367) who have participated in the mobile education program for the elderly funded by a Telecom. The instruments consist of VFI (Volunteer Functions Inventory) developed by Clary & Snyder (1999), including 30 items for motivations, 12 items for achievements, and 5 items for satisfactions of volunteering. The items for motivations and achievements are comprised of 6 subcategories: career, value, understanding, protective, enhancement, and social. The results of this study are as follows: (1) Enhancement motivation is the highest, followed by understanding, value, career, protective, and social motivation. (2) Social benefit is the highest, followed enhancement, career, understanding, value, protective benefit. (3) The difference between motivation and benefit in social category is the largest, followed by career, enhancement, value, protective, and understanding category. While benefit is higher than motivation in all other categories, motivation is higher than benefit just in value category. (4) High motivation-high benefit, high motivation-low benefit, low motivation-high benefit, and low motivation-low benefit groups are dichotomized by the median of each motivation and benefit. In all six categories, high motivation-high benefit group shows the highest satisfaction, but low motivation-low benefit group shows the lowest. In short, benefit shows stronger correlation with satisfaction than motivation does. Finally, we suggest several implications for future research and policy of college students' volunteering based on these results.

  • 정보 통신 기술의 발달과 학습자의 다양한 요구에 따라 온라인을 통한 웹기반 학습에 이어 휴대인터넷 (WiBro)과 UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC)를 비롯한 모바일 환경에서의 학습 시대가 열리게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 학습자의 특성을 고려하여 자기 주도적 학습 형태인 모바일 학습에서 학습자의 학습동기를 유발, 지속시키기 위한 방안으로써 Keller의 동기 유발 이론에 기초하여 학생들이 흥미를 잃지 않고 스스로 학습할 수 있도록 모바일 학습에 적합한 새로운 동기 모형을 제시하고자 한다. 본 동기 모형의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들이 현장에서 이 모형을 바로 사용할 수 있도록 현실적이고 꼭 필요한 절차만 거치도록 하였다. 둘째, 다양한 평가 과정을 절차에 삽입함으로써 학습활동에 대한 보상과 강화를 학습중에 얻도록 하였다. 셋째, 개발된 콘텐츠를 수업안에 바로 적용시킴으로써 자연스러운 수업이 될 수 있도록 구성하였다. 넷째, 개별화에 중점을 두어 자기주도적인 학습이 가능하도록 하였다.

The Effect of Motivational Counseling Program on the Knowledge and Attitude of Smoking Cessation and Smoking Cessation Behaviors of Middle School Students (동기강화상담 프로그램이 중학생의 금연지식, 금연태도 및 금연행위에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of motivational counseling program for improving knowledge and attitude of smoking cessation and smoking cessation behaviors of middle school students. The research design was nonequivalent control group pre- and post-test design. The subjects were 42 third grade students of M and D middle school in G city (experiment group 21, control group 21). The treatment of this study, motivational counseling program was modified by author based on Lim(2010), developed by Valasquez(2001). The effects of this study were evaluated with the scales for smoking knowledge, smoking attitude, daily cigarette consumption, and the scales of stage of change. The data were analyzed with percentage and t-test using SPSS 21.0. The results of this study were summarized as follows: The experiment group who participated in the motivation counseling program had higher scores in knowledge(t=8.99, p=.000) and attitude(t=2.77, p=.008) of smoking cessation and stage of change(t=3.85, p=.000), and lesser daily cigarette consumption(t=-3.68, p=.001) than those of the control group. Based on these results, it was verified that the motivational counseling program may be effective in improving smoking cessation of middle school students. It is recommended that the motivational counseling program will be used as useful psychiatric nursing intervention for smoking prevention, smoking cessation, and mental health promotion for middle school students.

  • This study analyzed the motivational interviewing of type 2 diabetes patients in order to understand the difficulties and motivations associated with starting insulin treatment in psychosomatic insulin-resistant patients. The method used the consistent comparative analysis. The results of study were as follows: building relationships, focusing (Self-explore of problems with diabetes self-management, Recognizing the limitations of diabetes management, Concerns about complications, Imagine the future), inducing (Imagine the expected benefits and disadvantages of insulin administration, Discovering the benefits of insulin, Changes in thinking about starting insulin therapy), planning (Show specific curiosity about change, Planning change), maintaining change behavior (Keeping change confident), and evaluating. This study will contribute to understanding patients with type 2 diabetes with psychological insulin resistance. It may also provide implications for professionals helping these subjects.

Effect on Motivational Interviewing for Patients with Impaired Fasting Glucose (동기강화면담이 공복혈당장애 환자의 건강증진생활양식, 행동변화단계, 당화혈색소값에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a motivational enhancement therapy(MET) for impaired fasting glucose(IFG) patients in early stages of health behavior change and evaluate its effects on health promotion lifestyle, the stages of change and HbAlc. Data was collected in Health Center of U city, December 2011 to March 2012, conducted on 78 IFG patients who visited to the Health center, they randomized to intervention group(n=27) and control group(n=33). The intervention group received the MET, the control group received standard care. This MET programe was applied from MET programe. After developing, it confirmed content validity. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, $x^2-test$ and t-test with the SPSS WIN 20.0 program. Participants in the intervention group reported significantly increased scores of the stage of change(t=-20.224, p=.000) compared to those of the control group but no difference of health behaviors(t=-1.297, p=.200) and HbAlc(t=.794, p=.431). The findings indicate that the MET is an effective intervention in improving ealth behaviors and expect to be applied effectively to the preparation for implementation of health care interventions.

The Relationship Between Global Competence and English Learning Motivation - A Case of H University (글로벌 역량과 영어 학습 동기의 상관관계 연구 - H 대학 사례를 중심으로)

  • This paper aims to examine the relationship between global competence and English learning motivation, thereby finding an effective way to strengthen learners' global competence. Data are collected from 361 freshmen studying in a compulsory English course at H University in Seoul, using a survey with five-point Likert scale. Results reveal that there is a positive relationship between global competence and all four components of English learning motivation(integrativeness, instumentality, intrinsic and external motivation). Especially the correlation between global competence and learners' integrativeness is found to be the highest. Thus, this paper proposes two applicable class activities under the assumption that strengthening integrativeness is the most effective way to promote global competence.

  • 1. 2/4분기중 전국의 건축허가면적은 전년동기에 비하여 6.4$\%$가 감소하여, 1/4분기에 전년동기대비 12.3$\%$증가한 것에 비해 현저한 감소현상을 나타낸 바, 이는 건축허가제한 강화조치에 기인하는 것으로 보인다. 건축허가면적은 1월과 2월에 전년동기대비 각각 28.9$\%$, 18.4$\%$의 증가를 나타내었으나, 3월들어 1.1$\%$가 감소하면서 감소세로 돌아선 이후, 4월, 5월, 6월에 각각 0.2$\%$, 16.4$\%$, 0.6$\%$의 감소를 나타내면서 지속적 감소추세를 보이고 있다. 특히 6월의 경우 감소추세가 둔화된 사유는 ''90.5.15 건축허가제한조치에 따라 ''90년의 허가면적 자체가 대폭 감소한 데 기인한다. 2. 2/4분기중 허가면적을 용도별로 보면 주거용 건축이 5.6$\%$ 감소하였으며, 상업용은 17.1$\%$의 감소를 보였으나, 공업용은 제조업 분야의 시설투자활성화 영향으로 13.6$\%$의 증가율을 나타내고 있다. 3. 이와 같은 허가면적의 감소추세는 허가제한 강화조치에 따라 하반기에도 지속될 것으로 보인다.

한국인의 여가활동 제약과 생활만족의 관계

  • 이 연구는 한국인의 여가활동 제약과 생활만족의 관계를 규명하고자 한다. 이 연구는 성균대학교 동아시아학술원 서베이리서치센터에서 실시한 2007년 한국종합사회조사 데이터를 활용하였다. 한국종합사회조사에서는 다단계지역확률표본추출법을 이용하여 1,431명의 표본을 추출하였다. 이 연구에서는 SPSSWIN 17.0과 AMOS 5.0 프로그램을 적용하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여가활동 제약이 클수록 여가활동 동기는 약화된다. 둘째, 여가활동 제약은 여가활동 참가에 영향을 미치지 않는다. 셋째, 여가활동 제약은 생활만족에 영향을 미치지 않는다. 넷째, 여가활동 동기가 강화될수록 여가활동 참가는 증가한다. 다섯째, 여가활동 동기가 강화될수록 생활만족 또한 높아진다. 여섯째, 여가활동 참가가 증가할수록 생활만족 또한 높아진다.

Influence of Cyber Language on Continue Using Intention of Mobile (사이버 언어가 모바일 지속적 사용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was aimed to analyze factors affecting on continuous intention to use of mobile based on the caused motivation of cyber language. Predictor factors were selected economic motivation, represent motivation, entertainment motivation, relationship strength motivation and psychological free motivation suggested on the previous study. Participants of this study were 76 mobile users in Gyeongnam and Jeonbuk province in accordance with convenience sampling. IBM SPSS Statistics 19 were employed for descriptive statistics, Smart PLS(partial least squares) was employed for confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis of casual relationship among variables and effect. Analytical results show that paths from economic motivation to the percieved value and relationship strength motivation are significant. And analytical results show that path from economic motivation to the percieved risk are significant. This study suggests practical and theoretical implications based on the results.

  • 한우번식우 사육농가와 사육규모가 확대와 소 값 상승으로 인하며 인공수정 및 수정란 이식에 대한 수태율 향상에 많은 관심이 집중되고 있다. 이러한 수태율 향상을 위하여 한우 암소에 배란동기화 처리 후 인공수정 시 황체기능 강화제인 등을 투여하여 황체기능을 강화시키고, 투여시기에 따라 개체에 대한 신체충실지수(BCS)와 혈중요소태질소화합물(BUN)을 분석하였으며, 또한 투여시기에 따른 혈중 Progesteroner의 변화를 조사하였다. 황체기능강화제의 투여 방법은 HCG 투여구는 배란동기화 처리 후 6일째와 7일째에 각각 1500 IU와 3000 IU를 투여하였고, 투여 후 14일째에 혈액을 채취하여 혈중 P4 분석하였다.
