The Spatial Change of Agglomerated Location and the Characteristics of Firm Movement in Korean Software Industry (소프트웨어 산업의 집적지 변화와 기업이동의 특성)

  • In the early stage of industrial development, most of software companies were agglomerated at the CBD(Central Business Districts) in Seoul. However, the spatial distribution pattern of Korean Software industry has been changed according to the propagation of broadband, the change in rents, the governmental policy for industrial districts. In this research, using the software year book at 1997 and 2007, the emerging new pattern was analyzed using spatial clustering analysis. As a results of research, the spatial distribution was expanded in morphological changes. However, it was found that there was not a significant difference in a degree of accumulation. In the aspect of behavioral movement of companies, they tend to be relocated from the CBD to urban fringes and their movement is related to the product life cycle in selecting the clustered place.

Effects of Activated Carbon Particle Sizes on Caffeine Adsorptions (활성탄 입자 크기가 카페인 흡착에 미치는 영향)

  • The effect of activated carbon particle diameter (i.e. US sieve No. $8{\times}10$ ($d_p{\approx}2.19mm$), $18{\times}20$ ($d_p{\approx}0.92mm$), $50{\times}60$ ($d_p{\approx}0.27mm$) and $170{\times}200$ ($d_p{\approx}0.081mm$) on caffeine adsorption is investigated. BET surface area was increased with decreasing particle diameter ($d_p$), and caffeine adsorption rates increased with decreasing $d_p$. Moreover, pseudo-second order model is predicted the experimental data more accurately than pseudo-first order model, and the fastest rate constant ($k_2$) was $1.7g\;mg^{-1}min^{-1}$ when $d_p$ was 0.081 mm. Surface diffusion coefficient (Ds) was decreased with decreasing $d_p$ based on the minimum sum of square error (SSE). Practically, certain ranges of Ds are acceptable with high reliability ($R^2$) and it is determined that the effect of $d_p$ on Ds is unclear. The effect of pH on caffeine adsorption indicated the dependency of m/L ratio (mass liquid ratio) and $pH_{pzc}$. The $pH_{pzc}$ (i.e. $7.9{\pm}0.2$) was not affected by $d_p$. The higher caffeine adsorption at pH 4 and pH 7 than at pH 10 is due to $pH_{pzc}$, not $pk_a$ of caffeine.

  • The quality of education is determined by the quality of teachers, and in particular the competence of principals is important for the desirable flow of schooling. The Principal employment system was adopted as one of the educational reforms introduced by the government. However, even though it has been 10 years since the enactment of PES, the perception of that has been low. To solve this, first, government should be more active in promoting publicity for the principal. Second, the elected principal should not be concentrated only in small areas, but should spread to urban areas. Finally, principals must increase the rate at which practitioners are able to contribute substantially to public subscriptions.

  • The purpose of this paper is to research the locational characteristics of commercial land use. So this study deals with the realation between land use pattern and the factors which influence commercial land use. To perform this purpose we choose Apgujung-Dong as a case study area which is specially characterized as fashion street. Commercial facilities are spreading into the inner residential areas in Apgujung-Dong. To raise the efficency accuracy of research, informations of lands and buildings are analysed with EXCEL, ARC/INFO, SPSS The results are : (1) The characteristics of lots and buildings in Apgujung-Dong are different in kinds of commercial facilities. (2) The floor where commercial facilities are to locate varies with functions. (3) Commercial land use pattern is influenced by lot size, building size and story, accessibility, adjacent land use, etc. (4) QS is a useful tool in relation with urban land use analysis.

  • Recently bleak outside the city to find a peace of mind to education for children living in nature while enjoying the leisure life As more families there is growing interest in managing a farm on weekends grow crops by the weekend. However, due to the need for a weekend farm has a lot of information in order to receive pre-sale of farm experience and meets the conditions demanding application process simply weekend to participate in the farm program there is a difficulty. In this paper, in order to solve these problems and to develop a farm Sale and learning system using a public API to the smart phone applications. The system basically provides information and tips on growing farm so that you can easily get pre-sale and manage weekend farm Bulletin boards, albums, providing a play culture that can improve the learning ability of children with certain management functions to increase the degree of interest and participation in weekend farm.

Numerical Analysis of a Two-Dimensional N-P-N Bipolar Transistor-BIPOLE (2차원 N-P-N 바이폴라 트랜지스터의 수치해석-BIPOLE)

  • A programme, called BIPOLE, for the numerical analysis of twotimensional n-p-n bipolar transistors was developed. It has included the SRH and Auger recolnbination processes, the mobility dependence on the impurity density and the electric field, and the band-gap narrowing effect. The finite difference equations of the fundamental semiconductor equations are formulated using Newton's method for Poisson's equation and the divergence theorem for the hole and electron continuity equations without physical restrictions. The matrix of the linearized equations is sparse, symmetric M-matrix. For the solution of the linearized equations ICCG method and Gummel's algorithm have been employed. The programme BIPOLE has been applied to various kinds of the steady-state problems of n-p-n transistors. For the examples of applications the variations of common emitter current gain, emitter and diffusion capacitances, and input and output characteristics are calculated. Three-dimensional representations of some D.C. physical quantities such as potential and charge carrier distributions were displayed. This programme will be used for the nome,rical analysis of the distortion phenom ana of two-dimensional n-p-n transistors. The BIPOLE programme is available for everyone.

A Performance Evaluation of Concrete for Low-carbon Eco-friendly PC Box for Near-surface Transit System (저심도 철도시스템 구축을 위한 저탄소 친환경 PC 박스용 콘크리트의 성능 평가)

  • Low-carbon eco-friendly precast concrete (PC) box structure has been recently was developed as an low-cost infrastructure of near-surface transit system. The concrete of PC box was manufactured by industrial byproducts such as ground granulated blast furnace (GGBF) slag, flyash and rapid-cooling electric arc furnace (EAF) oxidizing slag, its mechanical property and durability were estimated in this study. Based on the mechanical and durability tests, it is found that low-carbon eco-friendly concrete shows high initial compressive strength, more than 90% of design strength (35MPa), and high resistance to salt-attack, chemical- attack and freeze-thaw. Therefore, low-carbon eco-friendly PC box concrete technology is expected to contribute to the railway with low environmental impact.

Policy Directions and Challenges for Revitalizing of Small School in Local Community (지역사회 소규모학교 살리기 정책 방향과 해결 과제)

  • With the low birth rate and the inner city decline, the number of small schools is expected to increase. In this trend, the Ministry of Education has consistently used the number of students as a standard for the merger and abolition of schools since 1982, but it seems that has generated a vicious circle of education in rural areas and also it did not reflect realistic requirements and changes in the times although it is efficiency of local education finances. With the number of students constantly decreasing, it has a high probability to make villages without schools in urban areas if decisions are made by the number of students. In this sense, it is suggested that regional contexts and socioeconomic environment should be taken into account rather than to conduct the merger and abolition of small schools with economic logic. It is necessary to change the direction of improving the quality of education through the operation of small schools for coexistence of schools and villages and a cultivating the manpower needed in the 21st century knowledge information society and the 4th industrial revolution era. Therefore, we tried to find tasks for expanding small schools of the local community and developing small schools suitable for future social change.

Development of Demand Forecasting Model for Seoul Shared Bicycle (서울시 공유자전거의 수요 예측 모델 개발)

  • Recently, many cities around the world introduced and operated shared bicycle system to reduce the traffic and air pollution. Seoul also provides shared bicycle service called as "Ddareungi" since 2015. As the use of shared bicycle increases, the demand for bicycle in each station is also increasing. In addition to the restriction on budget, however, there are managerial issues due to the different demands of each station. Currently, while bicycle rebalancing is used to resolve the huge imbalance of demands among many stations, forecasting uncertain demand at the future is more important problem in practice. In this paper, we develop forecasting model for demand for Seoul shared bicycle using statistical time series analysis and apply our model to the real data. In particular, we apply Holt-Winters method which was used to forecast electricity demand, and perform sensitivity analysis on the parameters that affect on real demand forecasting.

From Charity to Solidarity, Sympathy to Empathy: The Case of Yellow Envelope Campaign (자선에서 연대로, 동정에서 공감으로: 노란봉투 캠페인의 사례연구)

  • Giving behavior promotes social solidarity and lessens social deprivations by voluntary practices to make better communities. Despite the increasing trend of giving in terms of participation and amount in Korean society, the giving culture has deeply rooted in charitable emotion based on compassion, still far from social solidarity. This paper attempts to identify giving behavior by investigating its characteristics and changes in its motives from the compassion-based social welfare to social responsibility and community solidarity, centering around 'Yellow envelope campaign' started in 2014 to support the living expenses and cost of litigation for the fired workers of Ssangyong Motors. By employing questionnaire survey and in-depth interview, it analyzes the horizontal relationships, reciprocal responsibility, social capital, and pursuit for conflict solution. Even though the campaign didn't change our society as a whole, but it cast the social questions on the birth of social empathy and solidarity.
