The survey was done in order to find what kinds of birds visit Taeanhaean National Park during breeding season, where we fixed up 10 coastal areas and islands within the National Park. Three groups concurrently performed the field research from 5th to 9th of July in 2009. Total 58 species and 7,323 individuals were recorded in Taeanhaean National Park. 48 species including 6,187 individuals were observed in coastal areas and 33 species including 1,136 individuals in island areas. The most dominant species in the National Park are Larus crassirostris which accounts for 60% of the birds inhabiting there, and they seem to have been bred in the islands near the National Park. The birds observed only around the coastal areas include Anas poecilorhyncha, Fulica atra, Egretta intermedia and the others which consist of 25 species and amount to 318 individuals, and the birds found exclusively in island areas include Phalacrocorax filamentosus, Apus pacificus¸ Locustella pleskei and other birds, which consist of 10 species and the number of those individuals observed was 308. The inhabited islands areas such as Gauido were characterized by high ratio of waterbird population, which seems to be correlated with the factors such as the extent of island, the richness of water resources, and the diversity of habitats. Based on the data collected during the research and other data from the previous observations, the kinds of dominant species remain nearly unchanged. And in spite of the oil spill accident in 2007, the increase in the number of waterbirds compared to 2004 may be the evidence that the area is recovering from the environmental pollution. At present, the tidal power plants are being built or scheduled to be built and large-scale reclamation is also under way. What is worse, those areas are seeing the increase of pension construction, which is likely to be the potential cause of damage and disturbance against some key habitats for the waterbirds. Therefore, it is a major priority that we build the bird information system to efficiently manage the knowledge-based asset collected from bird-watching groups and to better monitor the areas that need enhanced database through which the National Park can be appropriately administered.

La situation de la $r{\acute{e}}gion$ rurale et maritime de la province de Jeollanam-do en $Cor{\acute{e}}e$ du sud se $caract{\acute{e}}rise$ par une relative $p{\acute{e}}nurie$ de population. Le projet 'Ces ${\hat{I}}les$ que l'on aime visiter', $g{\acute{e}}r{\acute{e}}$ par la province de Jeollanam-do, s'articule autour de villages insulaires lieux de bien- ${\hat{e}}tre$ pour viser une augmentation de la population. Il s'agit de $d{\acute{e}}velopper$ le tourisme durable en s'appuyant sur la $beaut{\acute{e}}$ des paysages naturels, l'histoire, la culture et les traditions de cette $r{\acute{e}}gion$ insulaire. Pour cela, la participation active des habitants est essentielle. Cette ${\acute{e}}tude$ a pour but de $r{\acute{e}}fl{\acute{e}}chir$ aux moyens de $d{\acute{e}}velopper$ la participation des habitants en se fondant sur une $enqu{\hat{e}}te$ $men{\acute{e}}e$ dans la campagne. Nous avons mutuellement $analys{\acute{e}}$ entre les moyens de la participation des habitants et l'apanage $d{\acute{e}}mographique$ ${\grave{a}}$ cause de leurs $r{\acute{e}}sultats$ $diff{\acute{e}}rentes$. Voici les moyens de la participation des habitants $fond{\acute{e}}s$ sur la $caract{\acute{e}}ristique$ communautaire: $l^{\prime}activit{\acute{e}}$ $r{\acute{e}}mun{\acute{e}}ratrice$ communautaire; $l^{\prime}am{\acute{e}}lioration$ de l'habitat; les loisirs dans la $r{\acute{e}}gion$. Nous proposons plusieurs exemples pour $d{\acute{e}}velopper$ des programmes $fond{\acute{e}}s$ sur la participation des habitants de $l^{\prime}{\hat{i}}le$ de Nangdo, d'un rite communautaire maritime et des programmes ${\acute{e}}ducationnels$ d'explication touristique.

Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of tourists in islands that are well-known for their natural landscapes. It is expected that this number will go up steadily, due to the increase in per capita income and leisure time. Regarding tourism transportation, utilizing linkage transport between coastal passenger terminal and inland transport system is crucial. However, the existing system does not measure up to the expectations. This is attributable to the fact that the distances between coastal passenger terminals and inland transportation terminals are too far. Also, the current public transportation system lacks support and needs to take the role of connecting the two terminals. This study shows how coast-inland linkage transport system should be reformed in order to promote island tourism. It focuses on building linkage transport system and minimizing walking distance. Also, adjusting passenger ship schedule to the characteristics of island tourism is needed. For the sake of passengers, coastal passenger ship fare should be reduced, and integrated transport information should be provided.

우리나라의 488개 유인도 중 강수량 부족 혹은 지하수의 수질문제 등으로 상습적 식수난을 겪고 있는 도서지역은 237개에 이르고 있다. 이들 도서지역은 생활용수를 우물, 간이상수도, 운반급수 등에 의존하고 있지만 이중 47%의 도서는 간이급수시설이 전무한 실정이다. 2015년에는 인천시 옹진군의 소청도, 대청도에 장기간 지속된 가뭄으로 식수원이 고갈되어 3일에 1시간으로 급수를 제한하였고 이로 인해 식수난 문제 외 관광산업의 소득저하 등의 문제가 발생되어 원활한 물공급문제가 해결되지 않으면 도서지역의 위기는 심각할 것으로 우려된다. 도서지역의 기본권인 먹는 물 문제를 해결하기 위해 정부 및 지자체에서는 소규모 유인도서에 해수담수화시설을 설치하여 유지관리 및 운영을 위한 인력을 배치하고 수동으로 조작하거나 단순 자동운전에 의해 운영 및 관리되고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 해수담수화시설의 안정적이고 효율적인 운영을 위해 지능적 수운영 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 제어시스템, 감시시스템, 계측시스템 등의 ICT 기술과 연계하여 수요를 정확히 예측하고, 실시간 전력비용과 저류량, 사용량 등을 통합적으로 고려하였으며 적시정량을 생산하여 저장 및 공급하며, 목표수질과 수량을 원활하고 안정적으로 공급할 수 있도록 제어 및 감시를 통한 지능적 수운영을 목적으로 연구하였다. 데이터의 수집과 전송, 분석, 제어, 감시 활동이 유기적으로 결합되어 용수의 생산과 분배, 공급활동을 자동화함으로 운영상의 리스크를 줄여주며, 필요시 통합운영센터에서의 의사결정을 지원할 수 있도록 개발하였다. 향후, 해수담수화시설뿐이 아닌 일반 상수도 수운영에 있어서의 취수, 도수, 정수, 배수지관리, 송수, 관망관리까지 자동화된 시스템을 개발하여 지능적 운영관리가 가능하도록 알고리즘 모델 및 프로그램을 제시하고자 한다.

1969년 8월 27일부터 9월 20일 사이에 서울과 춘천, 청주 등 지역에서 개최된 전국도서관대회에 참석한 도서관인은 조국 근대화 시책을 추진하는데 도서관에 부과된 임무가 무엇인가를 연구 협의하고 아울러 도서관계가 당면하고 있는 여러 문제를 토의한 결과 우리나라의 도서관계가 발전하는데 있어 정부관계 부처의 협조와 요망되는 시책에 대한 건의를 관계 요로에 건의한바 관계 당국에서 아래와 같이 회신하여 왔기에 그 내용 전문을 게재하는 것이다.

In this paper, the plan to invigorate regional marine tourism is discussed. The southwest area of Jeonnam province is famous for its beautiful islands and seashore line which has richness and variety of marine life. A solution of tourists increment by leisure sports utilizing islands and coastline will be proposed MTB tournament held at islands that has historic backgrounds and scenic beauty and its effect on influx of tourist were tracked first. Next application of mud flats boot around seaside and connection with experience program of seaside village were also examined. These activities will contribute to development of marine tourism and increase of income for regional people.

도서지역에서의 해수침입에 의한 해수-담수 경계면의 예측은 담수의 이용측면에서 뿐만 아니라 방사성폐기물 영구처분장과 같은 시설을 지하동굴을 이용하여 건설할 경우 설계개념의 설정 및 처분시설의 성능평가 측면에서도 중요한 사항이다. 해수침입의 예측에 널리 사용되어 온 Ghyben-Herzberg 근사식을 자연수위면의 경사가 급한 도서 지하매짙에 적용할 경우 야기되는 문제점을 지적하고, 보다 신뢰성이 향상된 방법인 염분 이동식에 근거한 수치해를 이용하여 해수-담수 경계면을 예측하였다. 경사도가 다른 두 가지 가상 처분시스템에 대한 정상상태에서의 해수침입 해석 결과, Ghyben-Herzberg 근사식은 담수지역에서의 수직 수두구배가 작은 경우에만 적용되며 국내에서 방사성폐기물 처분부지로 고려하였던 굴업도와 같은 작은 도서의 지하매질에서의 해수-담수 경계면 예측시 오류를 범할 수 있으므로 단순 적용은 피해야 할 것으로 판단되었다.

24년간 충남도 전지역의 무치의촌과 150여개 도서지방을 두루 돌면서 의료봉사를 계속해온 박삼용선생, 대전시 동구에서 박치과의원을 개설하고 있는 박삼용원장은 지난해 신병으로 세차례에 걸친 큰 수술을 받은 중환자? 이면서도 도서지역순회진료의 집념을 굽히지 않고 지난 5월에 이어 두 번째로 중부 서해안지역도서에 무료진료사업을 추진하고 있는 것이다. 그동안 박삼용선생이 펼쳐온 무료진료사업과 구강계몽사업의 역정을 일일이 소개하자면 대하소설을 써야할 정도, 이것은 수도 없는 정부에서 또는 지방행정관서나 각급 학교에서 수여한 훈장과 감사장이 이를 웅변해 주고 있다. 중환에다 74세의 고령이시라 주위 여러사람의 만류도 있었으나 이를 외면한 채 지난 5월27일 또다시 진료사업을 펴기 위해 떠나는 박삼용선생에게는 조금도 새삼스러울게 없으나 다행히 동행하게 되는 기회가 있어 그 의지가 현장의 일단을 여기에 옮긴다.

The purpose of this study is to improve inefficient use of rainwater in island area where it uses rainwater to supply the domestic water and to propose rainwater utilizing system that is most appropriate to the characteristics of precipitation in Korea. To accomplish these purposes, Cheju island was chosen as a study area and the design for the roof area and tank size of rainwater utilizing system was based on the result of the relationship between the actual precipitation and domestic water data which was used in the analysis by run theory to use run theory. Since the result of the analysis indicated that the designed rainwater catchment system was operated stably in Cheju island, the same result is expected in other island too. Therefore, if this system is executed together with the roof rehabilitation work of island area, it will bring positive effects on broth the improvement of residental environment and the security of domestic water.

거년 8월 미국 미시간주 안아버에서 개최된 <국제동양학자대회>(International Congress of Orientalists)의 한 소산으로서 <국제동양학사서협회>(International Association of Orientalist Librarians)가 창설되었다. 동양학의 연구열이 전세게적으로 고조되고 있는 이 때 참으로 뜻깊은 일이라고 하겠다. 초대회장으로는 런던 대학의 동양 급 아프리카 학원 도서관장 J. D. Pearson 씨가, 사무장으로는 미시간 대학 도서관의 아시아 도서실장 Yukihisa Suzuki 씨가, 그리고 우리 한국이 그 속에 포함되는 동 아시아 지역대표로는 대석대학문학원도서관학게장 뇌영상 씨가 각각 선출되었다. 이 협회의 취지, 회원의 자격 및 의무등을 널리 알려서 우리 도서관계의 호응을 촉구하고자 J. D. Pearson 회장이 작성한 동협회창설성명의 전문을 여기에 옮긴다.
