'주5일근무제(이하 '주5일제')와 도서관'이 왜 지금 이 시점에 우리 도서관계의 이슈가 되고 있는가. 왜냐하면 지난해 9월 근로기준법이 개정되면서 이제까지는 자율적으로 실시해오던 주5일제가 앞으로는 반드시 지켜야 할 제도가 되었으며, 그 시행 시점이 바로 2004년 7월이기 때문이다. 7월이라면 이제 얼마 남지 않았는데 도서관계의 논의는 과연 어느 단계에 와 있는 것일까. 우리 "도서관문화" 편집팀은 이번 4월호에서 "주5일제와 도서관"을 두고 우리 도서관계 현장에서 지난 몇 년간 무엇을 고민해왔으며 또한 그 고민을 해결하기 위해 현재 어떤 대비책을 마련하고 있는지를 알아보고자 한다. 이번 시도가 도서관계의 주5일제 대비 방안 마련의 기초적인 자료가 될 수 있기를 희망한다.

인터넷 기반으로 다양한 웹서비스와 멀티미디어형 자료를 제공하는 디지털 도서관의 설립과 활용도가 높아지면서, 기존의 도서 서비스 시스템에서 사용하던 기술은 개선을 요구하고 있다. 기존 도서시스템에서 활용하고 있는 국제 표준 메타데이터인 MARC 와 MODS 는 급속히 발전하는 인터넷 기반 디지털 도서관의 서비스를 만족스럽게 충족시키기에는 개선이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 도서시스템의 메타데이터 스키마를 설계하고, 검색 시간 향상을 위한 방법을 제안하고, 실용성 검증을 위한 실험결과를 보였다.

설계 준공도서는 건설공사를 시공하거나 유지 관리에서 필요한 정보를 담고 있는 자료이다. 과거에는 전자설계 준공도서가 단순 보관용으로 사용되어 활용도가 낮았다. 본 연구는 전자설계 준공도서의 활용도를 제고하고 전자설계 준공도서의 적합성 검사, 시스템 등록 서비스 등의 업무처리 시간을 단축시키실 수 있는 전자설계 준공도서 서비스시스템을 개발하였다. 연구결과를 응용하면 항공, 철도 등 다른 건설분야의 전자설계 준공도서 서비스 시스템 개발로 확대할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

In this study, the island's land-use and land-cover change (LULCC) is analyzed in South Korea using remotely sensed land cover data(Globeland 30) acquired from 2000 to 2020 to meet the requirement of providing practical information for forest management. Analysis of LULCC between the 2000 and 2020 images revealed that changes to agricultural land were the most common type of change (7.6% of pixels), followed by changes to the forest (5.7%). The islands forests maintain 157,246 ha (42.2% of the total island area). Land cover types that changed to the forest from grasslands were 262 islands, while reverse cases have occurred on 421 islands. These 683 islands have a possibility of transition and disturbance. The artificial land class was newly calculated in 22 islands. The forests, which account for 42.2% of the 22 island area, turned into grassland, and 27.8% of agricultural land and grassland turned into forests. The development of artificial land often affects developed areas and surrounding areas, resulting in deforestation, management of agriculture, and landscaping. This study can provide insights concerning the fundamental data for assessing ecological functions and constructing forest management plans in islands ecosystems.

The students were instructed to prepare the materials for the reading discussion as they read books by the analytical reading, in order to make them know the efficient method of the reading discussion as activity of after reading. As the results, They understood the plot and substance of the book, comprehend the whole subject and selected the subject of the discussion better after they read books by the analytical reading than after they didn't. But it's not satisfactory to communicate their own ideas mutually during the reading discussion as before.

This research was based on Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences theory. The purpose of this study was to describe students' book selection preferences using the theory of multiple intelligences. We have conducted a survey of high schools in the Chung-Nam province, consisting of 100 students, 50 in the high academically achieving group and another 50 in the low achieving group, in an attempt to analyze the relationship between their book selection preferences and the types of students' multiple intelligences. We want to assist in the research data for the reading guide.

The objective of this study is to examine the correlation of reading quantities in different developmental phases and various media(magazines, books, comic books). I surveyed reading quantifies in developmental periods, by questionnaires. As a methodology of empirical study, data was collected from 187 students at the Chonbuk National University. Statistical techniques of a Pearson Correlation Test were employed according to my hypotheses. The results of this survey are as follows: 1) reading quantities of general book of specific period is correlated with general book reading quantities of specific period. 2) reading quantities of magazine of specific period is correlated with magazine reading quantities of other period 3) reading quantities of comic book of specific period is correlated with comic book reading quantities of other period 4) correlation among reading quantity of middle school period and high school period is high.

The continuous accumulation of printed materials prompts rethinking of library space problem and systematic preservation of library collection. To respond to this challenge, this study provides actionable models for the National Repository library and the Cooperative Repository Network. The development of the models is based on the analysis of overseas best practices as well as data derived from current state of public library cooperative network administered by the National Library of Korea. This study also offers a range of strategies for the operation of repository library system.
