To investigate the impact of the school libraries use experiences on the academic library anxiety among the freshmen of academy, A university's freshmen who had used the academic library were sampled systematically and surveyed. Data collected from 445 freshmen were analyzed using the frequency analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis through the independents; sex, locations of schools, manager of schools, use education, library use, library aided instruction and compared with the previous studies. Library anxiety was also differed according to the locations of schools, managers of schools, library use, use education, library aided instruction. Based on the results, some recommendations were suggested to reduce the library anxiety of freshmen in academic libraries.

The purpose of this paper is to explain the necessity of secure budget in public libraries with regard to promoting library usage. It is namely to attempt to find out if there really is a connection between library funding and library usage. For this purpose, the relevant data of all the 31 public libraries in Busan were collected from the 2013 National library Statistics of Korea. To determine the connection between library funding and usage, two variables were selected, 'TFI (Total Funding Indicator) = $\sqrt{personnelcosts{\times}materialcosts}$' for independent variable and 'LU (Library Usage) = (visits per year) + (loans per year)/number of inhabitants' for dependent variable. The results showed that there is a clear relationship between TFI and LU and If more cost is spent on personal resources and material resources, the total usage of the public library also increase. The findings are limited due to the fact that the observation was focusing on public libraries in one community and the period of observation was one year in 2013.

This study analytically examined library anxiety that various users felt when they use public libraries, by measuring it on K-LAS. The findings show that the library anxiety is varied depending on users' age, gender, academic careers, usage purposes, frequency of use and size of libraries. It suggested the guidance and education about the use of libraries, environmental improvement based on the remodeling of libraries, wearing of nameplates written in big characters for identifying librarians and the education for users' understanding and the provision of device and equipment manuals according the levels of users' experiences, as measures for overcoming the library anxiety, enhancing usage satisfaction and activating usage.

The domestic and foreign standards of school libraries suggest that school library should be run to give useful and pleasant experiences to students. This study applies Csikszentmihalyi's 'flow theory' to analyze the relationships between students' flow experience and their satisfaction about school libraries use. The variables selected in this study are students' satisfaction, flow experience, library skill, challenge of library use, types of library use and students' learning styles. The research model is designed by using these 6 variables in this study. The data are collected from 293 students and analyzed by structural equation modeling. The results of this study are as follows: The entire casual relationships show that library skills influence in types of library use, types of library use affect students' learning styles and students' learning styles influence in satisfaction through flow. To improve students' satisfaction about school library use, this study proposes effective ways related to teacher librarians' role performances to expand students' flow experience and increase their library skills.

This study has examined the cause of the library anxiety among foreign students upon visiting college libraries. 131 students were investigated using Library Anxiety Scale (LAS) to analyze the relationship between sex, grade, library use education, frequency of library use, Korean skill and cultural heterogeneity. The result of the LAS showed an average of 2.60 among foreign students, and the anxiety from the "mechanical barrier" was scored the highest. For sex, male students tended to be relatively more anxious than female students on the "accommodation of library" and "knowledge of library." Students who participated in the library use education were less anxious than those who did not, and the more one used library, the less one became anxious. Based on these results, the study proposes the way ahead for resolving library anxiety through library use education and frequency of use.

The purpose of this study is identify factors influenced of children's library use and management through investigating the use patterns and recognition of children's parents on children's libraries. Questionnaire was used as a research method. Data was collected from the parents who entered library entrance with their child and children on four public libraries. Six factors were identified from four public libraries setting. There were the spatial planning based upon library use patterns, the flexibility and mobile furnishings, the activity area for causing children's Interesting, the guarantee of safety Place for children, the quiet area for emotional stability, and functional place for moving around.

The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the impact of library service quality on the continuous use of libraries by international students and to verify that library anxiety plays a mediator role between the two variables - 'library service quality' and 'continuous use intention'. To conduct this study, library service quality, continuous use intention, and library anxiety of 213 Chinese international students was measured and the hypothesis through structural equation modeling was verified. The result of the study suggests that library service quality has an impact on continuous use intention and that library anxiety mediates the two variables. Based on the research result, the development of library service for international students was discussed.

대학도서관의 정보기술 환경과 이용자의 정보기술 이용능력이 도서관 이용행태에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 규명하고자 한다. 본 연구는 독립변인으로 선정된 도서관 집단간의 비교와 이용자 집단간의 비교를 통한 비교실험을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 대학도서관의 정보기술 환경에 따른 도서관 정보기술 이용행태는 대체적으로 차이가 없으며 개인의 정보기술 이용능력에 따른 도서관 정보기술 이용행태는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

도서관은 공공서비스 중에서도 강제적인 서비스가 아니고 임의적인 또는 생활의 질과 관련되는 서비스이기 때문에 서비스 수요는 접근용이성이나 주변환경 등의 영향을 받게 된다. 그러나 지금까지 우리나라의 공공도서관의 입지결정은 정책결정자의 의지나 경험이 크게 작용하여 이용자의 이용측면을 고려하지 않고 설립되었다. 본 연구는 공공도서관의 입지와 이용과의 관련성을 밝히기 위하여 이용자가 인지하는 접근용이성과 주변환경의 주관적 인지도를 측정하고 이용이 높은 도서관과 이용이 낮은 도서관간의 차이를 밝힘으로써 앞으로의 공공도서관의 입지선장에 유용한 자료를 제시하는 데 그 목적을 두었다.
