Design and Implementation of Remote Control System for Car Navigation (자동차 내비게이션 원격 제어 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • Manipulating a car navigation system while driving can lead to car accident due to loss of concentration. This will be more serious for elders or beginner drivers. Recently, a new Road Traffic Law in Korea prohibits drivers from watching or operating any video displaying devices. So the car navigation system came hard to use. In order to solve the issue we design and implement a novel system where a remote person can control the car navigation system on behalf of the driver. In the proposed system, we suggest to utilize the driver's smartphone for allowing sharing the Internet connection of the phone with the navigation system. The required smartphone application and the server will also be designed and implemented.

  • 최근 전동킥보드 보급이 이루어지면서 이와 관련된 교통사고가 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 전동킥보드 주행 시 헬멧 착용을 의무화하는 도로교통법 개정안이 시행되고 있지만, 물리적으로 대부분 현장에서 단속이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 영상인식 기술을 활용한 객체검출(object detection) 모델인 YOLOv4를 기반으로 전동킥보드 사용자의 헬멧 미착용 검출시스템을 제안하였다. 이를 통해 전동킥보드 주행 시 헬멧 착용 여부를 효율적으로 단속하는데 활용 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to pursue a case study of urban land use and transportation linkage policies based on a British city of Cardiff, Wales. To this end, the paper combines a review and synthesis of available land use and transportation planning sources, and a series of interviews with planners and a extensive survey of planning policy documents to assess the effectiveness of policy instruments in the city context. Considerable emphasis is placed on the analysis of the British land use and transportation planning in terms of the Policy guidance notes 11, 12 and 13 as well as the local transport policy guidance. The paper highlights the fact that the Cardiff unitary development plan and the local transport plan form a policy framework of integrating land use and transportation planning process, employing travel demand management schemes and implementing the various strategy components on the overall aim of achieving and maintaining a sustainable city.

  • 정적 통행배분모형은 도로 건설 등 공급부문에의 적용은 가능하나 통행량 및 혼잡의 시간적 공간적 변화를 고려하지 못하여 수요관리에서는 교통량 및 비용에 대한 관측치와 모형의 결과치가 상이한 문제가 있다. 이에 동적배분모형의 다양한 접근방법이 시도되고 있는데 그 중 Simulation기법을 개발하고자 하였다. 모형은 개별차량의 시공간상 움직임을 포현하고자 절대시간이 가장 이른 차량순으로 시뮬레이션을 함으로써 선입선출(FIFO)을 가능하게 하였다. 각 차량별 지체시간의 계산은 대기행렬 이론을 기초로 한 누적곡선법을 적용하여 도출하였다. 개별차량 Simulation은 시간축으로 확장된 연속류 Network상에서 각 차량의 도착 및 출발할 노드와 시간대를 결정하면 모든 지점에서 누적도착, 출발곡선을 그릴 수 있으며 이를 통해 도로구간에 있어 시간대별 통행시간, 밀도, 속도 등을 파악할 수 있다. 또한 합류부의 용량와 와해현상과 분류부의 용량변화현상 제약 및 Queue길이 제약이 이루어지도록 하였다. 개발된 모형의 검증은 영동대교 북단 강변도로 진출입부 자료를 실측하여 사용하였다. 모형은 합류부 용량와해의 적용 전과 후의 결과를 각각 실측치와 비교하였다. 용량와해현상을 적용한 모형에서 MAPE 10%미만의 우수한 예측력을 보였다. 이는 누적곡선을 이용한 Simulation모형이 현실에 가까움을 의미하는 것이며, 합류부 용량와해현상의 관계식을 보다 정교하게 도출하고 분류부에도 이를 적용한다면 모형의 예측력은 더욱 향상될 것으로 보인다.

Selecting Technique of Accident Sections using K-mean Method (K-평균법을 이용한 고속도로 사고분석구간 분할기법 개발)

  • A selection of the analysis section for traffic accidents is used to analyze definitely the cause of accidents sorting similar accidents by a group and to raise the effect of improvement projects deciding the priority of accidents. In the existing method, an uniformly dividing method based on road mileages has been used, which has no consideration for similarities among accidents. Consequently, in recent, a slider-length method considering accident types rather than road mileages is widely used. In this study, using K-mean method, a non-hierarchical grouping technique used in the Cluster Analysis ai a applicatory method for the slider length method, a method classifies accidents that occurred the most nearby mileages into one group is proposed. To verify the proposed method, a comparison between the f-mean method and the dividing method at regular intervals on the data of a total of 25.6km lengths along Kyung-bu freeway in Pusan direction was made so that the K-mean method was proved to an effective method considering the similarities and adjacencies of accidents.

  • When most drivers take to the freeway, they don't necessarily pay attention to the geometric design. They expect proper design by depending on their own senses and recognition. When they evaluate the features of traveling on the freeway, they can think differently than engineers. The design needs to predict the exact speed of the driver to satisfy the driver's expectation, safety, pleasure and so on. This study categorized the factors influencing the speed of six freeways considering geometric and operational features to make a prediction model of speed. The model used multiple regression with these factors and produced statically appropriate results. This study utilized the principle component analysis and the quantification II analysis based on the image data of the satisfaction of the traveling environment collected through individual interviews. As a result, this study found the factors of satisfaction in a traveling environment. It made a satisfaction model of the traveling environment on freeways considering the change of driver's actual recognition and societal recognition using structural equations and the quantification II theory. Through the model made in this study, This model can present not only qualitative factors like satisfaction of traveling environment on freeways, but also the quantitative elements like speed. What is important is the evaluation of features of traveling on freeways reflected in the recognition and traffic environment felt by drivers.

A Path-based Traffic Flow Simulation Model for Large Scale Network (기종점 기반 대규모 가로망 교통류 시뮬레이션 모형)

  • The Purpose of this study is to develop a simulation model for large-scale network with interrupted flow as well as uninterrupted flow. The Cell Transmission(CT) theory is used to simulate traffic flow. Flow transition rules have been newly developed to simulate traffic flows at merging and diverging sections, and signalized intersections. In the model, it is assumed that dynamic OD table is exogenously given. Simulation results for toy network shows that the model can explain queue dynamics not only in signalized intersections of urban arterials, but also in merging and diverging sections of freeway. In case study, the model successfully simulated traffic flows of 145,000 vehicles on CBD network of city of Seoul with 74 traffic zones, 133 signalized intersections among 395 nodes and 1110 links.

Algorithm for Identifying Highway Horizontal Alignment using GPS/INS Sensor Data (GPS/INS 센서 자료를 이용한 도로 평면선형인식 알고리즘 개발)

  • Geometric information is a key element for evaluating traffic safety and road maintenance. This study developed an algorithm to identify horizontal alignment using global positioning system(GPS) and inertial navigation system(INS) data. Roll and heading information extracted from GPS/INS were utilized to classify horizontal alignment into tangent, circular curve, and transition curve. The proposed algorithm consists of two components including smoothing for eliminating outlier and a heuristic classification algorithm. A genetic algorithm(GA) was adopted to calibrate parameters associated with the algorithm. Both freeway and rural highway data were used to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. Promising results, which 90.48% and 88.24% of classification accuracy were obtainable for freeway and rural highway respectively, demonstrated the technical feasibility of the algorithm for the implementation.

  • Currently the highest speed limit on the road traffic congestion or because you can not cope with climate change to cause a traffic accident may be a factor. According to the Road Traffic Act as well as 20% to 50% in case of inclement weather, but the driver must slow speed left to the judgment of the difficulties, and to slow the vehicle and the relative velocity between the vehicle does not run longer be a big influence on the environment and safety. Thus, variable speed control for drivers on the road, specify the appropriate maximum speed limit in bad weather It keeps motorists slowed the run rate to prevent accidents or reduce the severity of accident damage is expected to be possible. The purpose of this study is the frequent traffic accidents Continuous Busan (City Freeway) around the variable speed control in the appropriate sections so that it can be done by analyzing the characteristics of traffic accidents were the severity of the accident. Highway and urban environment, the geometry of the structure because it has a lot of Curved planar point compared to wet and dry road surfaces by simulated rain wet had bom the more the speed the greater the risk of an accident was the result. Based on these results, the primary section, first urban highway tunnel, near the lamp, near Toll Plaza, near binary Outlet after considering various factors such as speed reduction is needed in the first period by conducting awareness and recognize the need for the participation of the driver and the future city installation and operation of highways in all sectors is expected to be expanded.

자율주행자동차 시험운행에 관한 각국 법안의 비교 및 정책적 시사점

  • 사물 인터넷, 클라우드 컴퓨팅, 인공지능, 빅데이터 등 첨단 정보통신기술을 활용하여 모든 사물들의 지능화와 초연결을 지향하는 것을 나타내는 4차 산업혁명에 대한 관심은 나날이 증가하고 있다. 4차 산업혁명과 관련된 다양한 분야의 기술들 중에서 인공지능을 활용한 자율주행자동차 기술과 관련하여 논의를 진행하고자 한다. 여러 국가에서는 자율주행자동차 시장선점을 위해 관련 기술의 발달에 몰두하고 있다. 그러나 자율주행자동차의 상용화를 위해서는 기술의 발달뿐만 아니라 관련 법제도의 정비가 더욱 필수적인 요소라고 본다. 자율주행자동차가 안전성을 보장할 수 있도록 시험운행에 대한 규제를 완화시켜야 할 것이며, 향후 상용화가 될 경우 야기될 수 있는 민사적 손해배상문제와 형사책임의 문제, 과실책임의 문제, 사이버 보안문제 등을 대비할 수 있는 법제도 마련을 촉구하고자 한다. 타국가와의 자율주행자동차 법제도 비교분석을 통해 우리나라의 도로교통법과 기존 법 제정상태를 고려하여 법안 마련에 방향성을 설정하는 데에 목표를 두고 있다.
