Change of Plant Community after Road construction -Case Study on Seongsamjae Road in Chirisan National Park- (도로건설이 식물생태계에 미치는 영향 -지리산국립공원 성삼재관통도로를 사례로-)

  • 도로건설에 의한 식물생태계 영향을 종합적으로 고찰하기 위하여 도로로부터 산림 내부에 이르는 거리에 따른 식물군집구조의 변화, 비탈면에 도입한 외래종의 식생천이 및 확산현황, 귀화식물의 분포현황을 파악하였다 도로로부터 거리에 따른 식물군집구조 분석결가 도로건설로 인해 발생된 비탈면과 비탈면 끝지점에서 산림방향으로 10~20m 구간까지 종구성의 변화가 나타났다. 절개비탈면 급속녹화용으로 도입된 큰김의털(Tall Fescue) 경관 및 식물생태계에 악영향을 미치고 있었다 성토비탈면에 파종된 외래종들은 빗물이나 바람을 따라 산림 내부로 유입되어 햇빛이 잘 드는 계곡부나 산림 내부에 잔조하고 있어 식물생태계에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 판단되었다 성삼재관통도로변에서 조사된 귀화식물은 총 13과 35속 44종 1변종으로 45종류이었고 도로건설로 나지가 넓게 분포하는 곳이나 이용객이 집중되는 지역에서 출현종수 및 빈도가 높았다.

세계의 시험도로 현황

  • 지금까지 1940년대부터 최근까지 건설된 미국의 시험도로에 대한 목적과 주요특징 등에 대해 알아보았다. 과거와 다르게 최근 건설된 시험도로들은 크게 도로 본선 옆에 시공한 시험도로의 형태와 시험 주로 형식의 루프구간으로 이루어져 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 시험주로에서는 포장재료 영향 평가를 목적으로, 시험도로에서는 포장층의 구조적 영향을 파악하기 위한 것으로 판단된다. 표 4는 최근 미국에서 건설된 시험도로를 간략하게 요약한 것이다.

A Study on the Effects of High Embankment Road on the Microclimatic Environment (고성토 도로의 건설이 미기후 환경에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, Inhabitants nearby the high embankment road have requested a civil complaint on the environmental deteriorations and economic harms. This study was carried out numerical simulation using the 3-D microclimate model 'Envi-met' in order to investigate the variations of a flow field and a temperature field at the road sections with a high embankment and a bridge. About the simulation of flow field, the wind field has changed due to the disturbance of airflow by a high embankment road considerably. And the wind velocity decreased in the whole of simulation space widely. But, the wind velocity and wind direction sited loose to the section of a bridge, relatively. In the results of a temperature field, the slight variations of temperature field were discovered by the disturb of the mixing flow from a high embankment road. These results indicate that the numerical simulation can provide useful information to minimize the disasters, such as traffic accidents and various microclimatic environments in the transportation projects.

  • Considerable amount of resources on roads, basic infrastructure, to promote economic development and distribution of goods is invested. Despite the necessity, its undesirable side effects are various environmental problems In order to efficiently evaluate these problems more than before, planning indictors for environment-friendly road constructions is proposed in this study. First, we make an investigation into real-life cases where the extracted planning indicators were applied. Second, it is suggested that an alternative assessment method efficaciously evaluate and/or adopt extracted planning indictors on road construction projects. Finally, criteria to determine environmental impacts with respect to planning indicators and apply them into real cases is proposed. This study has its significance in upgrading past pro-environmental indictors for road construction, suggesting reasonable applications of planning indicators, and setting criteria to determine environmental impacts based on planning indicators.

  • Road construction projects have a long duration so cost overruns and schedule delays are occurred. However, performance assessment system that can manage and prepare for this in advance is insufficient. In addition, road construction are affected by many factors during under construction. Therefore it is necessary to conduct performance assessment considering the characteristics of roads and prepare for similar projects in the future. The purpose of this study is to provide a framework to evaluate construction phase performance and present a performance management plan using road construction information. Also, This study conducted time adjustment between the start and the finish of the project and developed performance metrics based on absolute and relative indicator. This study analyzed the cost, schedule, and changes of the road project construction process, showing the possibility of advancement of performance assessment and how to use it when planning new road construction projects.

  • 도로에서의 비산먼지는 건설현장 트럭에 의한 토사의 유입, 운반 중에 날리는 토사, 토양의 침식, 겨울철 모래살포, 타이어의 마모등에 의하여 도로표면에 쌓인 먼지가 차량의 운행이나 바람으로 인하여 발생한다 국내 주요도시 및 산업단지는 대부분이 포장도로로서 주변환경에서 유입되는 먼지와 함께 차량의 운행으로 인한 비산먼지(Fugitive dust)의 영향이 지대하며, 건설현장에서 발생되는 비산먼지와 함께 도시ㆍ산단지역의 미세먼지 배출량에 큰 기여를 하는 것으로 조사되었다. (중략)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the risk factors, analyze the risk factors and make a risk check list of survey in road construction. Generally. the risk management is consisted of 3 steps: risk identification, Risk analysis, Risk hedge. This study is focused on the identification of risk and analysis of risk. To identify the risk factors of survey, we used the specifications of road construction, law of survey, and check list of road construction. This study provides the risk check list of survey for road construction. This research was undertaken to analyze risk factors being determine by the FGI(Focus Group Interview) method with survey specialists.

  • It has been attempted to minimize the environmental impacts due to railroad and road constructions. But assessments of the impact for the unwanted discharges by tunneling are still poorly systematic due to lack of scientific evaluation results ; thus, the tunneling projects frequently cause wide social conflicts. The goal of this study is to provide a guideline for appropriate environmental impact forecasts, assessments, and mitigation planning of tunneling projects.

  • The global community demands the reduction of environmental pollution such as greenhouse gas and carbon dioxide emissions. According to these requirements, the road construction project in the highest energy consuming industry is required the efficient way of reducing environmental pollution emissions. In this study, during the whole life cycle process, an environment impact assessment was performed for the several road construction projects in order to evaluate environmental stress through the road construction process. This study provides a proper process of environment impact assessment for life cycle assessment (LCA) analysis of road construction project, and figures the environmental stress regarding to the major construction materials for the case projects. In addition, this study conducted a sensitivity analysis for the key materials of environmental stress through the quantity analysis of major materials for the 1km section of a road construction. By this sensitivity analysis of total environmental stress change from the different volumes of constructing materials, it would be useful information for the environment impact assessment for the future road construction project.
