A high temperature superconducting (HTS) DC cable is ideal for transmitting large blocks of electrical power over a long distance. However, it must be designed to operate reliably within the constraints of the electrical systems. Therefore, a study of the electrical insulation is important to develop a HTS DC cable because it is operated in a cryogenic high voltage environment. This paper discusses the dielectric constructions of the cable and summarizes the experimental results on the DC and impulse dielectric characteristics of the insulation material. in sheet form and mini-model cable configuration. This shows how to design such insulation to be operated reliably. These studies are essential for the insulation design of a HTS DC cable operated in cryogenic environment.

우리 협회에서는 한해의 도서관계 주요 뉴스를 정리함으로써 1년을 정리하고 새로운 발전을 도모함에 있어 기초자료로 삼고자 올해부터 매년 도서관계 10대 뉴스를 선정ㆍ발표하기로 하였다. 올해 10대 뉴스는 우리 협회 사무국에서 기초자료를 수집, 정리하고 이를 참고자료로 첨부하여 관련 단체 및 협회 전문위원회 위원장 및 도서관인 대중에게 서면, 인터넷 등으로 의견을 수집한 후, 취합된 의견을 참고하여 협회 사무국에서 최종 선정하였다. 10대 뉴스 선정에는 우리 협회 조원호 사무총장, 이용남 기획위원회 위원장, 이경구 간행물편집위원회 위원장이 참여하였다.

현재까지의 컴퓨터그래픽스 기술은 물체의 시각적 표현에만 집중되어 왔다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 컴퓨터그래픽스 기술의 발전으로 앞으로는 3차원 데이터가 단지 표현에만 그치지 않고 모든 분야에서의 물체 해석과 예측 시뮬레이션 정보처리에서 활용되어 갈 것이다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 얼굴 데이터를 이용하여 사람의 나이에 따른 얼굴의 변화를 시뮬레이션한 결과를 소개한다. 20대, 30대, 40대, 50대의 3차원 얼굴 데이터로부터 60대의 얼굴을 예측하는 방법을 소개한다. 동일한 인물의 20대부터 50대까지의 실제 얼굴 데이터를 얻는 것은 어려운 일이므로 본 연구에서는 20대의 얼굴데이터만을 가지고 50대까지의 얼굴을 추측하여 생성한 후에 60대의 얼굴을 예측하는 방법을 제공한다.

This experiments were conducted to investigate growth regulator concentrations and a period of chilling treatment for increasing the size of bulblets of Narcissus pseudo-narcissus cv King Alfred. Combination of 2.5 mg/L BA and 2.5 mg/L NAA remarkedly increased the diameter and growth of regenerated bulblets. Chilling period favorable for the growth of regenerated bulblets was found to be 8 weeks, and addition of 1.0 mg/L NAA alone to MS medium was the most effective for increasing the size of bulblet for the culture after the chilling treatment.

월출산 국립공원 및 공원보호구역의 현존식생과 식물군집구조를 파악하기 위하여 1997년 7월에 27개의 조사구를 설치하여 조사하였다. 조사대상지의 식생은 난대기후대의 수종과 온대기후대의 수종이 함께 출현하는 추이대 특성을 나타내고, 주로 졸참나무군락, 소나무군락, 낙엽참나무군락이 많이 분포하고 있었다. 총 27개 조사구에 대한 TWINSPAN의 분석결과 낙엽활엽수군집, 굴참나무-졸참나무군집, 신갈나무군집, 신갈나무-낙엽활엽수군집, 굴참나무군집, 소나무-붉가시나무군집, 소나무군집, 조록싸리-조릿대군집으로 8개 군집으로 대별되었다. 월출산국립공원의 식생은 수종간 경쟁이 활발한 천이도중상의 식생구조를 나타내고 있었다.

The parer board sludge (PBS) itself and compost sludge manure (CSM) made of sawdust, fowl droppings, and urea to the PBS were treated to garlic to determine the effects of growing characters, yield components, and nutritional compounds in the plants. 1. The differences of the rate of missing plants were not found between control and treatments. 2. Plant height of the garlic increased in the treatments of PBS and CSM rather than control. Numbers of leaf, and width of the largest leaf and stem did not have any distinct tendency to change. 3. Total weight and weight of the above ground part were highest in the treatment of 1,600kg/10a PBS, and CS-2 treatment mixed with high portion of additives. The weight of underground part and yield increased with the increase of paper board sludge, and highest in CS-2 treatment. 4. The contents of nitrogen in the plant were higher in the treatments of PBS and CSM than control. And CSM treatments had generally higher concentrations than PBS treatments. 5. In conclusion, PBS itself had nutritional effects. The PBS could be used to some crops after fermentation with adequate additives.

By analysis of pyruvic acid and sugar levels in bulbs, leaf sheaths, and leaves, and with regard to phyllotaxis, it was shown that the lower portion of each plant component had the greatest pyruvic acid content, the upper portion less, and the middle portion the lowest. When bulb scales were examined, pyruvic acid content was lowest in the second bulb scale from the papery scale. Pyruvic acid level increased toward the inner portion of the bulb. Pyruvic acid levels in leaf sheaths and leaves were greater than those in the bulb during the early stages of bulb growth. However, at harvest, the pyruvic acid content of bulbs increased slightly, whereas those of leaf sheaths and leaves decreased markedly. Tissue sugar contents were similar at the beginning of bulb growth. However, bulb sugar content increased greatly as the bulb grew, and sugar contents of leaf sheaths and leaves decreased. With respect to phyllotaxis, outer older leaves had the lowest total sugar and pyruvic acid contents. Young leaves showed a tendency to have less pyruvic acid and sugar compared with mature leaves.
