A Study on the Ship's Performance of T.S. HANBADA(I) -The Evaluation of Seakeeping Performance by HMS Measuring Data- (실습선 한바다호의 운항성능에 관한 연구(I) -선체감시장치(HMS) 계측 데이터를 이용한 내항성능 평가-)

  • As the ship is getting bigger and faster lately, ship's structure or cargoes might be often damaged and the ship might be cut in two in extreme conditions by a wave impact on its bow. In this paper, the vertical acceleration, which is one of factors for evaluating seakeeping performance, was measured under the various sea states by the hull stress monitoring system(HMS) on the bridge, and the result was compared with those of model test and theoretical studies. Then, we confirmed the seakeeping performance of T.S. HANBADA by comparing it with ITTC seakeeping criteria This result will be a great help for the safe navigation by making it possible to estimate the possibility of work and the amount of risk under the various sea conditions with which may be confronted, and the shipbuilding yard can be possible to construct the vessel with superior performance through these data measured on the actual ship.

  • The needs for smart city management technology has been increased for efficiently managing huge and complex social infrastructures. Thus, this research introduces smart bridge facility management system based on sensor and BIM technologies so that the inadequacy of current facility maintenance system and the limitations of data objectivity, consistency and expandability can be improved. For which, current trends on sensor and BIM technologies and standard information system were investigated to derive system develop requirements, and a scenario was suggested to discuss how to utilize the suggested system. Research outcomes are expected to be utilized as a preliminary research for developing the real application framework for bridge facility management.

  • 최근 비약적인 경제발전에 힘입어 장대교량, 항만, 댐, 도로, 원자력 발전소 등과 같은 대규모 기간구조물의 건설이 증가하고 있으며, 구조물은 대형화 혹은 고강도화되는 추세에 있다. 특히, 전술한 구조물을 매스콘크리트로 가설하게 되면 초기재령시에 수화열로 인한 균열이 발생할 가능성이 매우 높기 때문에 효율적인 매스콘크리트의 개발과 매스콘크리트 구조물의 설계기술 및 시공방법이 중요한 연구대상으로 등장하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 가로 52.6m, 세로 14.4m, 높이 8.5m의 기계기초 매스콘크리트의 시공에 적합한 온도관리기법을 다음과 같은 단계로 제안하고자 한다. 먼저 온도상승요인을 최소화하는 콘크리트의 배합비를 산정한다. 산정된 콘크리트의 열특성을 측정하기 위해 단열온도실험을 수행하여 각종 열특성상수와 단열온도 상승곡선식을 도출한다. 이와 같은 열특성치를 콘크리트 구조체에 적용하여 열응력해석을 수행한다. 이와 같은 열응력해석을 통하여 구조물의 분할타설높이에 따라 온도균열이 발생하지 않는 콘크리트 내외부의 온도차를 결정한다. 이때 열응력해석에 범용 유한요소 프로그램인 Diana을 사용한다. 콘크리트의 타설은 현장조건과 타설시점을 최대로 고려하고 양생방법으로 콘크리트 내외부의 온도차를 최소화하기 위해 이중단열효과가 있는 거푸집과 가열장비을 사용한다. 또한 콘크리트의 온도관리를 위하여 구조물 내외부에 온도게이지를 매립하고 30분마다 계측을 수행하면서 콘크리트 내외부 온도차가 허용 해석범위를 유지하도록 한다. 양생기간은 7-10일 정도를 유지한다. 전술한 온도관리기법을 통하여 완공후 수평정밀도가 기초의 허용침하량으로 환산하여 $1{\mu}m$ 인 고정밀도의 기계기초는 완벽하게 시공되었다. 따라서 매스콘크리트의 온도균열을 제어할 수 있는 시공방법으로 제안한다. 또한 매스콘크리트의 내외부 온도차를 단열온도실험과 온도해석으로부터 정한 값이내로 제어하고 충분한 양생관리를 병행하면 수화열에 의한 콘크리트의 온도균열을 최소화할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • In the field of structural test, it is a very important factor to apply with an appropriate test jig to enhance test accuracy and efficiency. Especially in the large scale structure test, proper test apparatus scheme will reduce overall cost and time of the test project. Actuators, oil jack and UTM is generally used to evaluate the flexural capacity of the test beam. But in the case of multiple loading point or asymmetric loading of large scale test specimen, existing test method such as UTM have a difficulty in giving an accurate load. In this study new test method which is composed of existing test apparatus will be developed to improve test accuracy and economic efficiency.

  • Rapid development of electronic technology has made it possible to perform various function. But this technology made it increase it's complexity. Therefore, It was important to identify usability problem in interface design. The quality of interface to promote the efficient interaction should be evaluated with regard to users' cognitive characteristics. So, in this paper, washing machine, that is one of the most useful electronic home application was studied menu structure on interface and it's operational states transition. At first, an cognitive menu structure is identified with users' conceptual similarity of the main function of washing machine. Then three washing machines was selected to compare with the cognitive menu structure. And, we were analyzed how operational state of the washing machine was transfered. As a result, we can be revealed that menu operational method based on the cognitive structure was consistent with the user's preferred operational method during the experimental tasks and the users and designers had a different knowledge of an it's function structure. These results will be useful to design the washing machine interface.

  • The displays and the interactive interfaces are important factors to enhance immersion in the VR experience pavilion. In the VR experience pavilion displaying 3D Virtual environment, it is difficult to have multi-display with single viewpoint because of the field of view. Also it costs a lot to construct a large size display. The interaction device between user and VR environment necessary to immersion has used mainly the touchscreens with the restricted display area or the button-based input devices so far. In this paper, we suggest a method for constructing extensible multi-display which are showing VR environment in realtime and a method for interaction using a ZA Sensor which is wireless and guarantees the user's unrestricted movement. The proposed method can make a VR experience pavilion more immersive at less cost.

  • Wall-climbing robots have been developed for various purposes, such as cleaning skyscraper windows, maintaining large structures, and welding vessels. Conventional wall-climbing robots use movement systems based on wheels or legs. However, wheeled robots suffer from slipping effects, while legged systems require many actuators and control systems for the complex linkage structure, which also increases the weight of the robot. To overcome these disadvantages, we propose a new wall-climbing robot that walks based on gorilla locomotion. The proposed robot consists of a DC drive motor, a vacuum pump for adsorption, and a micro controller for controlling the system. The performance of the robot was experimentally verified on vertical and horizontal flat surfaces. The robot could be used for various functions in industrial sites or disaster areas.

  • Strategic partnerships of alliances and large shipping companies have been steadily launched in shipping market. Converting these alliances into customers and maintaining them important hub port status. The cases of container terminals to establish a political strategy based on. On the other hand, bulk terminals are relatively unexplored container terminal and bulk terminal are included in the same category of port empirical research from the overall perspective. Therefore, analysis of structural equations was utilized in this study. Analysis of the entire measurement model showed that all items except "Results - Intention of renewal" on bulk terminals were significant. This study is expected to contribute to promotion of empirical studies in various levels by compare container terminals and bulk terminals.

  • A key element of the fog warning system to prevent large traffic accidents is a visibility measurement device. Recently, the need for it that is similar to the human visual sense and cheap and accurate than expensive fog sensors is increasing. In this paper, we present the performance evaluation and the economic analysis of the Road Visibility Measurement System (RVMS), which is developed for measuring the road visibility through a CCTV camera. For experiments, we have installed a CCTV camera, a fog sensor, and visibility signs at the Yeo-ju Test Road on the Central Inland Expressway. We evaluated the measurements from RVMS and the fog sensor based on observations. The result shows RVMS outperforms the fog sensor with respect to measurement stability and correctness. We also show RVMS has higher economic feasibility and various applications. RVMS can prevent the traffic accidents caused by severe fog and enhance the process of the wide-area visibility information system significantly.

An Implementation of The Position Pattern Generating Algorithm with Minimal Locomotion Time for Single-Axis Linear Machine Drive System (단축 선형 전동기 구동을 위한 최단시간 이동 방식의 위치 패턴 발생 알고리즘의 구현)

  • In this paper, a simple but effective position profile generation algorithm for single axis high dynamic linear machine drive system is presented. In the recent industrial application fields like as LCD/PDP and semiconductor factory, requirements for the high performance positioning system with optimal position profile generator are highly increased to reduce the overall processing time. There might be various solutions for position profile generating algorithm according to the application type. A square-wave Impact quantity(Jerk) based algorithm with minimal locomotion time is argued in this paper to minimize the total time of one movement under some specific constrains such as maximum speed limit and maximum acceleration limit. In order to reduce the calculation efforts and satisfy the minimal locomotion time condition, the time variants representing each profile sector and a simple condition comparison algorithm are adopted. Also, the actual implementation method for profile generation algorithm and it's real performance results are presented through commercial linear machine drive system.
