This study aims to categorize and analyze the intervention activities of pharmacists in community pharmacies concerning drug-related problems, following international criteria. Methods: Over a six-month period, prescription interventions completed in a community pharmacy in Seoul were selected as the research subjects. The causes of interventions were classified according to the Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe (PCNE) drug-related problems (DRPs) classification system and the types and frequencies of DRPs were identified. Results: Among a total of 49,334 prescriptions, 527 interventions were completed, constituting approximately 1.07% of the daily average filled prescriptions. Individuals over 60 years of age represented more than 50%. The primary cause of DRPs was prescribing and drug selection issues, comprising 256 cases (48.58%), with specific subcategories including 109 cases of drug selection, 79 cases of treatment duration errors, 47 cases of dose selection, and 21 cases of inappropriate dosage form selection. Patient-related issues accounted for 204 cases (38.71%). Conclusion: The study demonstrated that the pharmacists' intervention in community pharmacies contributes to the safe use of medication by patients.

  • In order to solve the current shortage of parking spaces, and redesign the main gate area of the U University, the research investigated some cases of other schools located in Seoul which actively constructed multi-purpose building structures. Those schools are considered to be good samples showing their efforts to fulfill the needs of more parking spaces in their campuses, and to cover with the growing needs of multi-functioned facilities accommodating services of academic affairs, reading room spaces, and amenities. With the investigation, the research finded out the current trends of campus developments from the sample schools, such as underground parking facilities connected with multi-purpose buildings along the main arteries of campuses. Following the trends the research thoroughly examined the present conditions of our school and tried to make some possible alternatives for the facilities. Under the conditions, the research suggested 1)to construct underground parking lots accepting around 1,000 cars under the ivory tower square located in front of University Administration Building, 2)to develop a big-scaled open square at the university main gate, and 3)to build a multi-purpose structure along the main street of the campus, which included administration services, studying spaces, and some commercial facilities.

  • This paper presents the experimental setup for autonomous navigation of a robotic vehicle for touring university campus. The robotic vehicle is developed for navigation of specific areas such as university campus or play parks. The robotic vehicle can carry two passengers to travel short distances. For the robotic vehicle to navigate autonomously the specific distance from the main gate to the administrative building in the university, the experimental setup for SLAM is presented. As an initial step, a simple method of following the line detected by a single camera is implemented for the partial area. The central line on the pavement colored with two kinds, red and yellow, is detected by image processing, and the robotic vehicle is commanded to follow the line. Experimental studies are conducted to demonstrate the performance of navigation as a possible touring vehicle.

  • The campus outdoor space in each city is a very important space for students and local residents. Especially, for students, indoor space such as classroom is the main place to learn knowledge. But the outdoor space provides an opportunity to interact with people in other sectors and it also gives an opportunity that can make students sense the flow of the times. Moreover, students have the opportunity to integrate knowledge of the other fields in the outdoor space. The campus also provides an important resting place for residents. Therefore the campus should be convenient for both local residents and students, and should be designed to let students and local residents communicate with each other in outdoor space. This study attempts to identify the problems of the outdoor space in such a point. The high scores of campus evaluation indexes are as follows: First, the lighting in the favorite space and installing seats in a green space of the vestibule get the highest score. Also, separation of a sidewalk and a roadway, the ease of holding events, simple food and beverage near the entrance, the interacting place of people, the resting place near the porch in cold winter, the lighting in a bus stop and parking lot also get good evaluations.
