  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between health promotion behavior and adaptation to college of nursing students and investigate the factors influencing adaptation to college in the COVID era. The subjects were consisted of 191 nursing students from J University in province C. Data were analyzed based on frequency, percentile, mean, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regressions. Health promotion behavior and college adjustment in nursing students showed significant positive correlations with each other. Health promotion behavior had the strongest influence on nursing students' adaptation to college, followed by health level; these factors accounted for 19.9% of the total variance in adaptation to college among nursing students(Adj. R2=.199, p<.001). Overall adaptation to college can be improved by health promotion behavior enhancement program.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship among sexual knowledge, sexual attitudes, and reproductive health promoting behaviors of nursing college students. The research tools utilized were sexual knowledge measurement tool by Jeon(2004), sexual attitudes measurement tool by Ho(2009), and reproductive health promoting behaviors measurement tool by Jo(2014). A total of 300 nursing college students were surveyed, and 229 responses were analyzed. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's post hoc test and pearson's correlation coefficients with IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0. Female students exhibited higher sexual knowledge, and it was evident that reproductive health promoting behavior education is appropriate during lower academic years. Additionally, the indication that higher sexual knowledge corresponds to higher reproductive health promoting behaviors suggests the ongoing necessity for sexual education to enhance reproductive health promoting behaviors. Therefore, this study could serve as foundational data for developing educational materials on reproductive health promoting behaviors for counseling and education aimed at improving nursing college students' reproductive health.

Participants were 3rd-year students of nursing science at 2 colleges in Gyeongnam. Data collected from them or 180 questionnaire sheets were analyzing using SPSS 21 Program. The study found differences in grit and health promotion behavior were statistically significant, respectively, depending on gender, health interest, eating habit or smoking and on perceived health state, health interest, eating habit, alcohol or exercise. This study also found that there were significantly positive correlations between grit and health promotion behavior and significantly positive effect of grit, eating habit or exercise on the promotion behavior. These findings suggest that various education programs or strategies should be created to improve nursing college students' regular eating habits, accurate exercise and grit that influence their health promotion behavior.

A hierarchical regression analysis was performed to investigate the factors affecting the progress of cancer prevention and health promotion of nursing students. In Model I, the fit of the regression model was significant (F=2.543, p=.012), and grade (𝛽=.079, p=.011) was found to be a factor influencing the progress of cancer prevention health. Regression model fit of Model II (F=14.924, p<.005), age (𝛽=.079, p=.011), and health beliefs (𝛽=.078, p=.001) were related to cancer prevention and health promotion. appeared to have an impact. Therefore, the results of this study will help nursing students to develop and evaluate cancer prevention-related convergence programs.

The study method investigate the causal relationship between the factors. The SPSS 20.0 program was used for general characteristics and mental health related characteristics. The fitness of the model was verified and the Amos 20.0 program was used for hypothesis verification. In the study, the fit index of the model was $x^2=614.90$ (p = .000), Q value = 3.5, GFI = .88, AGFI = .84, NFI = .92, NNFI = .94, CFI = .02, and RMSEA = .08, respectively. The results showed that stress was the most influential on mental health, and that stress coping strategies, self - esteem and parenting attitude affect mental health. In order to improve the mental health of college students, intervention should be carried out to develop nursing interventions to improve stress management, self - esteem, and coping with stress.

  • This study was conducted to examine the correlations between life stress, body image, happiness, and health promoting behaviors, and to identify the influencing factors on health promoting behaviors of nursing students. Data were collected from 277 nursing students from April 16 to May 4, 2018. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Life stress, body image, happiness, and health promoting behaviors according to the general characteristics commonly showed significant differences in major satisfaction and school satisfaction. Health promoting behaviors showed positive correlations with body image and happiness, but a negative correlation with life stress. Happiness, body image, life stress, gender, and major satisfaction, which accounted for 46% of the variance, were significant predictors influencing health promoting behaviors in nursing students. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop a variety of programs to lower life stress and increase body image and happiness in order to improve health promoting behaviors of nursing students.
