There hasn't been a study searching for various methods of instruction and orientation in the use of a college library. By searching through the western literature in this field from 1961, I was amazed by the vast literature and enormous study done on it. I tried to introduce the most important articles in this field which can help mold our methods of library instruction. There has been quite a few cries for the use of new methods, of newer media, for increased number of students. Promising future lies in the area of programmed instruction and audiovisual aids to teaching, which should be developed into course-related library instruction.

This study assesses user attitudes towards electronic academic journals and suggests management issues for users and information managers. To reveal academic scholars' user attitudes, this paper is an attempt to survey the concepts of electronic journals, thoughts, perceptions and experiences of a sample of university faculty. Based upon various aspects of user attitudes, this study derives effective management techniques for electronic academic journals in library and information center.

This study examined several recommendation techniques to construct an effective book recommender system in a library. Experiments revealed that a hybrid recommendation technique is more effective than either collaborative filtering or content-based filtering technique in recommending books to be borrowed in an academic library setting. The recommendation technique based on association rule turned out the lowest in performance.

In this study in order to verify the overall information seeking behavior of the Web-based OPAC users, it was analyzed transaction log file for 7 years. Regarding Web-based OPAC information seeking behavior, it was studied from the perspective of information seeking strategy and information seeking failure. In search strategy, it was analyzed search type, search options, Boolean operator, length of search text, number of uses of word, number of use Web-based OPAC, number of use by time, by week day. Also, in search failure, search failure ratio, search failure ratio by search options, search failure ratio by Boolean operator were analyzed. The result of this study is expected to be utilized for OPAC system and service improvement in the future.

In this study, to expand and develop the policy information portal (POINT) of the National Library of Korea Sejong. This study conducted a survey and in-depth interview with government officials and policy researchers. The suggested ways to support the policy information portal (POINT) in the future. As a result of the analysis, the use of the current policy information portal service was found to be low, and it was found that improvement of information access, integrated search, and expansion of information provision data were more necessary. It was suggested that a one-stop service should be implemented to provide various information, systematic information on related data for each task, overseas trend data, core service data, promotion activation, data linkage by strengthening cooperation with various government ministries and research institutes, and easy information provision and menu composition.

We analyze key business process by using IDEF method in the perspective of business continuity, identify key information assets by using Skandia model, and use Nessus Version 1.4.2 to assess vulnerability about the sever of library information system according to OCTAVE(The Operationally Critical Threat, Asset, and Vulnerability Evaluation) approach. We suggest the vulnerability assessment case for introducing improved OCTAVE method including IDEF method and Skandia model.

Such future-oriented institutions that put together the functions of a library, archive, and museum are being actively introduced overseas recently and are called LAM, GLAM, and media tech. In South Korea, the term larchiveum, combining library, archive, and museum, is widely used. Therefore, this study explores a case study followed to determine larchiveums in service both home and abroad. The researcher then conducted an interview with librarians, archivists, and curators working for the larchiveums selected as the South Korean cases for the study to understand the meaning of a larchiveum. Additional interviews were conducted with five users that visited a larchiveum in the nation and uploaded posts on a social media platform to understand their perceptions of a larchiveum and problems with the purpose, functions, and services of it. Based on the analysis results, the study proposes vitalization plans for the management of a larchiveum in three aspects: improving the internal and external awareness, securing budgets and manpower for space enhancement and service, and reinforcing the integrated management of a larchiveum via a devoted organization.

Institutional Repository offers integrated capture, management. preservation and access intellectual asset of individual institution and is also considered as a strategy to disseminate and exchange intellectual output as part of global 'Knowledge Bank'. A case of Institutional Repository, 'dCollection,' was introduced in Korea Education & Research Information Service(KERIS) as an institutional repository solution. This paper drew related issues in order to apply institutional repository to domestic universities. The results will bring a paradigm shift in scholarly communications, as a guideline of institutional repositories in the university libraries.

This paper has been studied on the prevent of "program reproduce" and "partial modification" in computer programming. The system is made for the improvement for the prevention of prevailing "program reproduce" and "program partial modification", this research will be helpful to the student who is interested in depth study programmer. The research using AST will do the work such as finding errors of program and will evaluate how much each program is similar to each other. The research using AST will show you, on the screen, by using pictures how much each programs are assimilated. Open access movement supports the principle that the published output of scientific research should be available to everyone without charge. The term open access is used in the broad context of the wider movement. To achieve the objectives of open access to scholarly journal literature, BOAI(Budapest Open Access Initiative) recommends using two complementary strategies: 'self-archiving' in institutional/disciplinary repositories and 'open access journals.' This study introduces the strategies of open access movements and analyzes the ways to help the cause of open access by academic stakeholders(i.e., researchers, librarians, universities, publishers, foundations, learned societies, and government) from the perspective of two BOAI strategies.
