Polynomial Higher Order Neural Network for Shift-invariant Pattern Recognition (위치 변환 패턴 인식을 위한 다항식 고차 뉴럴네트워크)

  • In this paper, we have extended the generalization back-propagation algorithm to multi-layer polynomial higher order neural networks. The purpose of this paper is to describe various pattern recognition using polynomial higher-order neural network. And we have applied shift position T-C test pattern for invariant pattern recognition and measured generalization by mirror symmetry problem. simulation result shows that the ability for invariant pattern recognition increase with the proposed technique. Recognition rate of invariant T-C pattern is 90% effective and of mirror symmetry problem is 70% effective when the proposed technique is utilized. These results are much better than those by the conventional methods.

  • Two type interference air refractometers have been developed by using a frequency stabilized He-Ne laser in a transverse magnetic field. The refractometers were based on symmetric multiple pass interferometer. In this system, One part of the beams passed through air whose refractivity is to be measured and the other part of the beams passed through a vacuum champer to be used as a reference. Several measurements were performed under normal air condition. Maximum difference between two interference refractometers was ${\pm}2{\times}10^{-8}$.

  • This paper proposes a multiband Multi-Input Multi-output(MIMO) antenna for universal serial bus(USB) dongle application. The proposed MIMO antenna consists of a modified meander strip line and inverted L stub. The two radiating elements of the MIMO antenna are symmetrically placed with respect to the center of the ground plane. The fabricated antenna satisfied a VSWR below 3 and an efficiency over 35 % in the LTE band 13, 17(704 MHz-787 MHz), DCS/PCS/WCDMA band(1.71 GHz-2.17 GHz), and LTE band 7(2.5 GHz-2.7 GHz). The envelope correlation coefficient(ECC) has below 0.45 in the LTE band 13, 17 and 0.1 in the DCS/PCS/WCDMA band and LTE band 7, respectively.

  • 가공공정중 변형을 수반하게 되는 고분자제품은 대부분 고분자사슬의 배향을 갖게 된다. 이렇나 사슬배향은 제품의 기계적, 광학적, 그리고 전기적 특성에 매우 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져있다. 지금까지 고분자사슬의 배향상태를 나타내기 위한 여러방법은 모두 배향의 중심축을이 알려져 있다는 가정하에 전개되었다, 그러나 복잡한 배향모드를 갖 는 고분자가공의 경우에 배향중심측이 실험축과 일치하지 않는 경우가 많다 따라서 본연구 에서는 일반적인 고분자의배향상태를 나타내는 방법에 대해 알아보고 실제 고분자 가공공정 에 적용을 위해 실험적으로 배향의 대칭축을 찾을 수 있는 접근방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 그 결과 결정성 고분자의 배향상태를 광각 x-선 회절 data를 이용한2차배향 tensor를 통해 배향 타원체를 구성할수있었다. 이를PETdustls 필름과 HDPE사출성형물에 적용해 본 결과 이들의 2차 배향 tensor가 타원체를 잘 구성함을 알수 있었다. 또한 주어진 고분자의 결정 면들에 관계없이 고유한 중심축을 지니고 있음을 확인할수 있었다. 이를 통해 복잡한 배향 모드를 갖는 경우에 본연구에서 제안한 x-타원체를 통해 결정의 배향중심축을 효과적으로 찾을수 있음을 알수 있었다.

A Numerical Study on Inelastic lateral Torsional Buckling Strength of Doubly Stepped and Singly Symmetric I-Beam Subjected to Uniform Moment (균일모멘트가 작용하는 일축대칭 I형 양단 스텝보의 비탄성 횡-비틀림 좌굴에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • The cross-sections of continuous multi-span beams are sometimes suddenly increased or stepped at the interior supports of continuous beams to resist high negative moments. This paper investigates inelastic lateral-torsional buckling of monosymmetric stepped I-beams subjected to pure bending. A three-dimensional finite-element program ABAQUS and a regression program were used to analytically develop new design equation. The flange thickness ratio, flange width ratio and stepped length ratio were considered as parameters of this study. The combined effects of residual stresses and geometric imperfection on inelastic lateral-torsional buckling of beams are considered. The proposed solution can be easily used to calculation for inelastic lateral torsional buckling strengths of monosymmetric beams with doubly stepped cross sections and to develop new design equations for inelastic lateral-torsional buckling resistances of stepped beams.

  • Digital watermarking is a technique used to hide information within digital media. Digital watermarking techniques can be classified as either robust watermarking or fragile watermarking. Robust watermarking techniques are generally used for the purpose of copyright protection. In addition, fragile watermarking techniques are used for the authentication and integrity verification of a digital image. Therefore, fragile watermarks should be easily breakable for trivial tampering of a watermarked image. This paper proposes an efficient fragile watermarking method for image tamper detection in the spatial domain. In the proposed method, a hash code and symmetric key encryption algorithm are used. The proposed method of inserting a watermark by dividing the original image into many blocks of small sizes is not weak against attacks, such as cut and paste. The proposed method can detect the manipulated parts of a watermarked image without testing the entire block of the image.

  • 아무르불가사리에 기인한 환경적, 경제적 피해는 해마다 증가되고 있습니다. 우리나라 남해와 동해 바다에 널려 있는 불가사리들이 최근 서해안에서도 급속히 늘어나고 있습니다. 특히 러시아 해역에 서식하는 아무르 불가사리의 개체수가 급증해 어장을 황폐화 시키고 있습니다. 이로 인하여 엄청난 번식력과 포식력을 지닌 아무르불가사리가 살아있는 조개류를 먹어치우고 있어서 어민들의 피해가 막심합니다. 이 논문은 변형되어진 아무르불가사리의 구조적 특징과 방사대칭 특성을 이용하여 불가사리 영상을 복원하는 복원기법으로 불가사리의 인식률을 높게 하여 불가사리 퇴치에 많은 도움이 될 것으로 기대합니다.

Deformation History of Precambrian Metamorphic Rocks in the Yeongyang-Uljin Area, Korea (영양-울진 지역 선캠브리아기 변성암류의 변형작용사)

  • Precambrian metamorphic rocks of Yeongyang-Uljin area, which is located in the eastern part of Sobaegsan Massif, Korea, are composed of Pyeonghae, Giseong, Wonnam Formations and Hada leuco granite gneisses. These show a zonal distribution of WNW-ESE trend, and are intruded by Mesozoic igneous rocks and are unconformably overlain by Mesozoic sedimentary rocks. This study clarifies the deformation history of Precambrian metamorphic rocks after the formation of gneissosity or schistosity on the basis of the geometric and kinematic features and the forming sequence of multi-deformed rock structures, and suggests that the geological structures of this area experienced at least four phases of deformation i.e. ductile shear deformation, one deformation before that, at least two deformations after that. (1) The first phase of deformation formed regional foliations and WNW-trending isoclinal folds with subhorizontal axes and steep axial planes dipping to the north. (2) The second phase of deformation occurred by dextral ductile shear deformation of top-to-the east movement, forming stretching lineations of E-W trend, S-C mylonitic structure foliations, and Z-shaped asymmetric folds. (3) The third phase deformation formed I-W trending open- or kink-type recumbent folds with subhorizontal axes and gently dipping axial planes. (4) The fourth phase deformation took place under compression of NNW-SSE direction, forming ENE-WSW trending symmetric open upright folds and asymmetric conjugate kink folds with subhorizontal axes, and conjugate faults thrusting to the both NNW and SSE with drag folds related to it. These four phases of deformation are closely connected with the orientation of regional foliation in the Yeongyang-Uljin area. 1st deformation produced regional foliation striking WNW and steeply dipping to the north, 2nd deformation locally change the strike of regional foliation into N-S direction, and 3rd and 4th deformations locally change dip-angle and dip-direction of regional foliation.

A convergence study of the effects of asymmetric standing posture on knee joint position and lower extremity muscle activity in subjects with hyper-extended knee (무릎 과다 폄을 가진 대상자에게 비대칭 선 자세가 무릎 관절 위치와 근활성도에 미치는 영향에 대한 융합적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of hyper-extended knee and asymmetric standing posture on knee joint position and lower extremity muscle activity. Thirty-three voluntary participants participated and included sixty legs in the study. The sixty legs were divided into two groups: hyper-extended knee and normal group. The muscle activity and knee extension angle were measured. In the asymmetric standing posture, the knee joint extension angle and the muscle activity of the gastrocnemius were statistically significant between the normal group and the hyper-extended knee group. Based on the results, we confirmed that the asymmetric standing posture increases the hyper-extended knee. Therefore, it will contribute to the establishment of therapeutic guide for the subjects with hyper-extended knee to maintain the symmetrical standing posture, and future studies need to be conducted including the effects of the hip joint and ankle joints.

SURGICAL CORRECTION OF A CUPID'S BOW USING A DOUBLE Z-PLASTY: REPORT OF A CASE (중복 Z-성형술을 이용한 큐피드활의 교정)

  • Cupid's bow, upper lip, columella, and ala of nose are esthetically important, in which their symmetrical plasties determine success or failure of the surgery in cleft lip and palate patients. Z-palsty and its modifications are simple and effective. The double Z-plasty is economical in surgical time and esthetics in reconstructing the cupid's bow compared with other methods. We report a 29-year-old male patient who represented reversed cupid's bow and whistle deformity after the primary repair of the cleft lip. He was corrected the cupid's bow using a double Z-plasty. The reversed cupid's bow was corrected to a normal shape and the whistle deformity disappeared. The tightness of the upper lip was relieved after the operation. The double Z-plasty was esthetically successful because the procedure was limited in the vermilion and did not produce a new scar on the skin. Furthermore, the lip tubercle became protuberant. The cupid's bow was symmetrically smoothly curved at 4 years after the operation. These results indicate that the double Z-plasty is simple, less traumatic to the surrounding tissues, and suitable for the correction of whistle deformity.
