A Research on the Relationship between Duty Free' Locations and Sales of its Product Attributes at Airport : a Case of Departure and On-Arrival Duty Free at Incheon International Airport (공항 면세점 위치와 판매품목별 매출액 간 관계성 연구: 인천국제공항 출국장 및 입국장 면세점 사례를 중심으로)

  • On-arrival duty free will prevent Korean outbound passengers from keeping the duty free items they purchased at the departure during their travel. Most Korean tourists have requested the airport authority to install on-arrival duty free since the grand-opening of Incheon int'l airport. Considering the fierce hub airport competition in the North East Asian region, the Korean government's decision to install on-arrival duty free is regarded as a well-timed intervention. The purpose of the research was to analyze sales correlation based on a comparison of sales of both departure and on-arrival duty free and to propose an administrative implication. Compared to business conglomerates running departure duty free, on-arrival duty free operators, who are small or medium companies, have weakness in product composition, marketing, and merchandising capabilities. According to the analysis, outbound passengers, who purchased fashion accessories and leather products at the departure duty free, tended to purchase cosmetics/perfume or liquor on the arrival duty free. Such complementary purchasing behavior of passengers showed there is barely a negative correlation between departure and on-arrival duty free.

공기업문제(公企業問題)에 대한 경쟁정책적(競爭政策的) 접근(接近)

  • 공기업(公企業) 비효율성(非效率性)의 근본원인을 소유구조상(所有構造上)의 문제, 경쟁부재(競爭不在)의 문제, 지나친 정부규제(政府規制)의 문제로 이해할 때 그동안 공기업관련(公企業關聯) 정책(政策)이 소유구조상의 해결책인 민영화정책(民營化政策)에만 지나치게 편중됨으로써 경제력집중(經濟力集中)이나 증시문제(證市問題) 등으로 인해 공기업(公企業) 비효율성(非效率性)의 치유가 오히려 지연되고 있다는 시각에서 본고는 출발하고 있다. 시장기능(市場機能)의 활성화를 통한 효율성제고(效率性提高)가 공기업정책(公企業政策)의 궁극적인 목표라고 할 때 공기업의 비효율성(非效率性) 문제는 공기업관련(公企業關聯) 산업(産業)의 경쟁정책적(競爭政策的) 차원에서 문제점들을 파악하고 해결책을 모색할 필요가 있다. 따라서 공기업분야에 시장기능(市場機能)이 정착되기 위해 민영화(民營化), 경쟁도입(競爭導入), 규제완화(規制緩和) 등의 효율성 제고수단들의 총체적이고 유기적인 연계가 필수적이다. 이러한 시각에서 본고는 민영화 등 공기업관련(公企業關聯) 경쟁정책(競爭政策)중 구조적(構造的)인 측면을 주로 살펴보고 있다. 공기업(公企業)의 비효율성(非效率性)을 공기업 자체의 내적(內的) 비효율성(非效率性)과 시장에서의 배분적(配分的) 비효율성(非效率性)으로 구분할 때, 내적 비효율성 못지않게 배분적(配分的) 비효율성(非效率性)이 심각한 것으로 보인다. 한국통신(韓國通信) 등 대표적 공기업 6개와 10대(大) 민간(民間) 대기업집단(大企業集團)의 수익률(收益率) 비교(比較) 등에 따르면 이들 공기업이 독점적(獨占的) 시장구조하(市場構造下)에서 민간독점기업적(民間獨占企業的) 행태를 취해 왔다고 판단된다. 한편 상대적으로 경쟁도입이 활성화되고 있는 통신산업(通信産業)의 경우 요금의 변화추이는 경쟁도입(競爭導入)이 배분적(配分的) 효율성(效率性)을 증진시키고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있어 시장구조(市場構造)를 경쟁적으로 변화시키는 것이 공기업정책(公企業政策)에서 절실하다고 판단된다. 구조적(構造的)인 경쟁정책(競爭政策)을 다루기 위해 본고는 사업다각화(事業多角化)라는 시각에서 6대(大) 공기업관련산업(公企業關聯産業)의 산업련관분석(産業聯關分析)을 통해 공기업이 상당한 전후방효과(前後方效果)를 갖고 있기 때문에 단순 민영화에 따른 수직적(垂直的) 독점력(獨占力) 확산을 고려하면서 구조적(構造的) 정책(政策)을 취할 필요가 있음을 지적하고 있다. 따라서 독점공기업(獨占公企業)을 민영화함에 있어서 시장구조를 보다 경쟁적(競爭的)으로 전환시킬 필요성이 크다고 판단된다. 1993년 민영화계획(民營化計劃)의 범위가 불충분하고 그 계획조차 지연되는 현상황을 고려할 때 민영화정책의 보다 강력하고 광범위한 실행이 필요할 뿐만 아니라 공기업분야에 경쟁적(競爭的) 시장구조(市場構造)가 정착될 수 있도록 유도하는 것이 공기업 관련 구조적(構造的)인 경쟁정책(競爭政策)의 핵심이라고 본다. 또한 본 논문은 공기업이 원래의 설립목적(設立目的) 이외의 다른 사업분야에 진출하는 것을 허용할 것인가에 대하여 구조적(構造的) 경쟁정책차원(競爭政策次元)에서 기본방향을 제시하고 있다.

A Study on Link Travel Time Prediction by Short Term Simulation Based on CA (CA모형을 이용한 단기 구간통행시간 예측에 관한 연구)

  • There are two goals in this paper. The one is development of existing CA(Cellular Automata) model to explain more realistic deceleration process to stop. The other is the application of the updated CA model to forecasting simulation to predict short term link travel time that takes a key rule in finding the shortest path of route guidance system of ITS. Car following theory of CA models don't makes not response to leading vehicle's velocity but gap or distance between leading vehicles and following vehicles. So a following vehicle running at free flow speed must meet steeply sudden deceleration to avoid back collision within unrealistic braking distance. To tackle above unrealistic deceleration rule, “Slow-to-stop” rule is integrated into NaSch model. For application to interrupted traffic flow, this paper applies “Slow-to-stop” rule to both normal traffic light and random traffic light. And vehicle packet method is used to simulate a large-scale network on the desktop. Generally, time series data analysis methods such as neural network, ARIMA, and Kalman filtering are used for short term link travel time prediction that is crucial to find an optimal dynamic shortest path. But those methods have time-lag problems and are hard to capture traffic flow mechanism such as spill over and spill back etc. To address above problems. the CA model built in this study is used for forecasting simulation to predict short term link travel time in Kangnam district network And it's turned out that short term prediction simulation method generates novel results, taking a crack of time lag problems and considering interrupted traffic flow mechanism.

  • 차세대 방송서비스 개발의 일환으로 관심을 모으고 있는 다시점 비디오 부호화(multi-view video coding, MVC) 방식은 인접한 여러 대의 카메라로 동시에 획득한 영상을 효과적으로 압축하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이때, 중간시전 영상을 생성하여 부호화하는 과정의 참조영상으로 이용할 수 있으며, 이를 위해서는 다시점 비디오 특성에 맞는 영상보간 방법이 필요하다. 기존에 제안되었던 영상보간법은 변위의 검색범위를 초기에 설정하여 블록정합을 이용하여 화소 단위로 변위를 측정하기 때문에 카메라 사이의 거리가 크거나 객체의 움직임이 커서 변위의 변동이 심한 영상에서는 안정적인 화질의 영상을 얻기 어렵다. 또한, 고정된 크기의 블록을 이용하여 전체 변위를 측정하므로 객체의 변위차가 큰 영역에서 변위 오류가 많이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제를 해결하여 보다 개선된 화질의 중간시점 영상을 얻기 위한 새로운 영상보간법을 제안한다. 영역분할을 이용한 초기의 변위측정 과정에서, 처음부터 최대 변위의 범위를 설정하는 대신에 블록 단위로 대략적인 변위륵 측정한 후에, 가변 블록을 이용하여 보다 세밀한 변위를 측정한다. 이 방법은 변위차가 큰 객체의 경계 부분에서 보다 정확하게 변위를 측정 할 수 있으므로, 화소 단위로 변위를 측정할 때 이전에 추한 변위 정보를 바탕으로 각 화소별로 검색 범위를 설정한다. 적응적으로 설정된 검색 범위를 이용하여 화소 단위의 변위를 측정하면 보다 개선된 변위를 얻을 수 있다. 추가적으로, 변위측정 과정에서 발생하는 변위의 오류를 최대한 줄이기 위해 각 단계별로 미디언 필터를 이용하여 변위 오류를 수정하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법으로 실험한 결과 기존의 영상보간 방법보다 화질이 약 $1{\sim}4dB$ 정도 개선되었다.필, 투명도 등을 위성원격탐사 자료와 GIS를 이용하여 공간분석을 실시하고, 공간분포도를 작성함으로써 대상해역의 해양환경을 파악하였다. 본 연구결과, 분석된 위성자료가 현장조사에 의한 검증이 이루어지지 않을 경우, 영상자료분석을 통한 표층수온 추출은 대기 중의 수증기와 에어로졸에 의한 계산치의 오차가 반영되기 때문에 실측치 보다 낮게 평가 될 수 있으므로, 반드시 이에 대한 검증이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 현지관측에 비해 막대한 비용과 시간을 절약할 수 있는 위성영상해석방법을 이용한 방법은 해양수질파악이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, GIS를 이용하여 다양하고 복잡한 자료를 데이터베이스화함으로써 가시화하고, 이를 기초로 공간분석을 실시함으로써 환경요소별 공간분포에 대한 파악을 통해 수치모형실험을 이용한 각종 환경영향의 평가 및 예측을 위한 기초자료로 이용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.염총량관리 기본계획 시 구축된 모형 매개변수를 바탕으로 분석을 수행하였다. 일차오차분석을 이용하여 수리매개변수와 수질매개변수의 수질항목별 상대적 기여도를 파악해 본 결과, 수리매개변수는 DO, BOD, 유기질소, 유기인 모든 항목에 일정 정도의 상대적 기여도를 가지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로부터 수질 모형의 적용 시 수리 매개변수 또한 수질 매개변수의 추정 시와 같이 보다 세심한 주의를 기울여 추정할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전략은

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception factors of a pedestrian environment that affect pedestrian environment satisfaction(PES) and determine the relationship between PES and the expected effects of health promotion. The targeted areas of study are neighborhood parks in Suseong-gu, Daegu city. First, regarding the results for the evaluation of pedestrian environment perception, 'Gentle slope' was rated the highest, while factors regarding pedestrian safety such as 'Lots of unpleasant elements', 'Risk from biking and motorcycling' and 'Many obstacles on sidewalks' were rated low. A stepwise regression analysis showed that factors such as 'Fresh air', 'Beautiful scenery', 'Continuity of the sidewalks', 'Various attractions', 'The shade of trees' and 'Lots of unpleasant elements' influenced the PES. Therefore, creating fresh air and shade trees by planting trees and removing unpleasant elements from pedestrian areas are important. Also, it is necessary to cultivate beautiful scenery and attractions through street improvement and improve the continuity of the sidewalks. Finally, in terms of path analysis, PES influenced the frequency of park use, the expected effects of physical and mental health promotion both directly and indirectly.

Capital Structure's Mean-Reversion and Long-Term Equilibrium (자본구조의 평균회귀현상과 장기균형)

  • This paper empirically examines whether firms engage in a dynamic adjustment process toward target capital structure and, whether there is a target capital structure or mean reverting using the partial adjustment model while allowing for costly adjustment. Also we investigate the empirical determinants of optimal target capital structure in long term equilibrium. As a result, our empirical model captures at least several important features of capital structure behavior for Korean listed firms. First, Korean firms pursue target capital structure and also there is mean reverting phenomenon. Second, Non-Chaebol and small firm in adjustment speed is faster than Chaebol and large firm. Third, even capital market restricts the adjustment speed interestingly. Fourth, Korean firms have target behavior according to a degree of observed gap. Fifth, Korean firms close about one-fourth of the gap between their actual and target debt ratios within one year and thence targeting behavior explains far more of the observed changes in capital structure than market timing or pecking order considerations. Sixth, capital market is significant in determining optimal capital structure.

Analysis of Factors Influencing the Utilization Rate of Public Health Centers in Korea (한국의 보건소 이용률에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석)

  • This study was conducted to identify the utilization of public health centers, as well as the individual characteristics and regional characteristics that affect their utilization based on data from the 2016 Community Health Survey, National Statistical Portal, and National Institute of Environmental Research. Independent samples t-tests, variance analysis, and multiple logistic regression analysis were used for analysis. Hierarchical multiple regression was used to analyze individual and regional characteristics. The results of hierarchical multiple regressions revealed that aged regions, women, older age individuals, respondents with lower education level and income level, walking practitioners, nutrition label readers, individuals experiencing depression, those who have received health checkups, those who are not covered by essential care, those who have spouses, and basic livelihood beneficiaries have increased use of public health centers. However, the use of public health centers decreased in stressors, and regions in which the population per 1,000, number of health care workers, health and welfare budget, fiscal independence, and unemployment rate were above the national average. As above, the central government and local governments need to analyze not only individual characteristics such as health behavior and psychological factors, but also regional characteristics, when establishing local health care policy.

The Impacts of Student Loans on Early Labor Market Performance (학자금 대출 경험이 노동시장 초기행태에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examines the labor market performance of graduates who had student loans. Compared to earlier studies, we extended analyses to all jobs that were experienced for more than 18 months after graduation. First, we found that students who had student loans earned 2.81% less at their first job compared to their counterparts without student loans. Second, the wage gap decreased over time, a reduction of 0.66%p due to labor market turnovers. Third, when we compared cumulated labor income, however, the amount for borrowers were continuously higher. This is because the job searching period of a borrower was shorter, despite relatively lower wages at the first job, and borrowers also made more frequent job turnovers, accompanying relatively more wage increases. These results suggest that the negative effects of college loans on earnings, reported in previous studies, may have exaggerated the negative impact to some extent of having loans. However, when we look at the quality of jobs beyond simply wages, the proportion of borrowers working at large companies as regular workers was consistently low. Given that job conditions at the earlier stages of one's career may lead to gaps over time, our findings call for more systematic investigations into the effects that student loans have on long-term labor performance.

Development of A Network loading model for Dynamic traffic Assignment (동적 통행배정모형을 위한 교통류 부하모형의 개발)

  • For the purpose of preciously describing real time traffic pattern in urban road network, dynamic network loading(DNL) models able to simulate traffic behavior are required. A number of different methods are available, including macroscopic, microscopic dynamic network models, as well as analytical model. Equivalency minimization problem and Variation inequality problem are the analytical models, which include explicit mathematical travel cost function for describing traffic behaviors on the network. While microscopic simulation models move vehicles according to behavioral car-following and cell-transmission. However, DNL models embedding such travel time function have some limitations ; analytical model has lacking of describing traffic characteristics such as relations between flow and speed, between speed and density Microscopic simulation models are the most detailed and realistic, but they are difficult to calibrate and may not be the most practical tools for large-scale networks. To cope with such problems, this paper develops a new DNL model appropriate for dynamic traffic assignment(DTA), The model is combined with vertical queue model representing vehicles as vertical queues at the end of links. In order to compare and to assess the model, we use a contrived example network. From the numerical results, we found that the DNL model presented in the paper were able to describe traffic characteristics with reasonable amount of computing time. The model also showed good relationship between travel time and traffic flow and expressed the feature of backward turn at near capacity.

A Study on the Location of Retail Trade in Kwangju-si and Its Inhabitants와 Effcient Utilization (광주시 소매업의 입지와 주민의 효율적 이용에 관한 연구)

  • Recentry the structure of the retail trade have been chanaed with its environmantal changes. Some studies may be necessary on the changing process of environment and fundamental structure analyses of the retail trade. This study analyzes the location of retail trades, inhabitants' behavior in retail tredes and their desirable utilization scheme of them in Kwangju-si. Some study methods, contents and coming-out results are as follows: 1. Retail trades can be classified into independent stores, chain-stores (supermarket, voluntary chain and frenchiise system and convenience store), department stores, cooperative associations, traditional, markets mail-order marketing, automatic vending and others by service levels, selling-items, prices, managements, methods of retailing and store or nonstore type. 2. In Kwangju, the environment of retail trades is related to the consumers of population structure: chanes in consumers pattern, trends toward agings and nuclear family, increase of leisur: time and female advances to society. Rapid structural shift in retail trade has also been occurred due to these social changes. Traditionl and premodern markets until 1970s altere to supermarkets or department stores in 1980s, and various types, large enterprises and foreign capitals came into being in 1990s. 3. The locational characteristics of retail trades are resulted from the spatial analysis of the total population distribution, and from the calculation of segregation index in the light of potential demand. The densely-populated areas occurs in newly-built apartment housing complex which is distributed with a ring-shaped pattern around the old urban core. The numbers and rates of the aged over sixty in Kwangsan-gu and the circumference area of Mt.Moodeung, are larger and higher where rural elements are remarkable. A relation between population distribution and retail trade are analysed by the index of population per shop. The index of the population number per shop is lower in urban center, as a whole, being more convenient for consumers. In newly-formed apartment complex areas, on the other, the index more than 1,000 per shop, meeting not the demands for consumers. Because both the younger and the aged are numerous in these areas, the retail trade pattern pertinent to both are needed. Urban fringes including Kwangsan-gu and the vicinity of Mt.Moodeung have some problems owing to the most of population number per shop (more than 1, 500) and the most extensive as well. 4. The regional characteristic of retail trade is analyzed through the location quotient of shops by locational patterns and centerality index. Chungkum-dong is the highest-order central place in CBD. It is the core of retail trades, which has higher-ordered specialty store including three big department stores, supermarkets and large stores. Taegum-dong, Chungsu-dong, Taeui-dong, and Numun-dong that are neiahbored to Chungkum-dong fall on the second group. They have a central commercial section where large chain stores, specialty shopping streets, narrow-line retailing shops (furniture, amusement service, and gallary), supermarkets and daily markets are located. The third group is formed on the axis of state roads linking to Naju-kun, Changseong-kun, Tamyang-kun, Hwasun-kun and forme-Songjeong-eup. It is related to newly, rising apartment housing complex along a trunk road, and characterized by markets and specialty stores. The fourth group has neibourhood-shopping centers including older residential area and Songjeong-eup area with independent stores and supermarkets as main retailing functions. The last group contains inner residential area and outer part of a city including Songjeong-eup. Outer part of miscellaneous shops being occasionally found is rural rather than urban (Fig. 7). 5. The residents' behaviors using retail trade are analyzed by factors of goods and facilities. Department stores are very high level in preference for higher-order shopping-goods such as clothes for full dress in view of both diversity and quality of goods(28.9%). But they have severe traffic congestions, and high competitions for market ranges caused by their sma . 64.0% of respondents make combined purpose trips together with banking and shopping. 6. For more efficiency of retail-trading, it is necessary to induce spatial distribution policy with regard to opportunity frequency of goods selection by central place, frontier regions and age groups. Also we must consider to analyze competition among different types of retail trade and analyze the consumption behaviors of working females and younger-aged groups, in aspects of time and space. Service improvement and the rationalization of management should be accomplished in such as cooperative location (situation) must be under consideration in relations to other functions such as finance, leisure & sports, and culture centers. Various service systems such as installment, credit card and peremium ticket, new used by enterprises, must also be carried service improvement. The rationalization and professionalization in for the commercial goods are bsically requested.
