The Response of the Structure with the Damage Curve (손상곡선에 의한 구조물의 거동파악)

  • The effects of the impulse and the magnitude of the impulsive loads to the responses of the structure are analyzed with the safety criteria established with the peak load and impulse ratio. It is shown for the loadings with short duration that the impulse is dominant factor for the damage of the structures due to the inertial effect. On the other hand the magnitude of the load is dominant factor for the load with long duration due to the duration time long enough for the loads to overcome the inertia force. It is also shown that the peak particle velocity and the peak particle acceleration of the foundation have the same influences as the impulse and the magnitude of the loads do to the structures.

Creep Behavior of Pultruded Ribbed GFRP Rebar and GFRP Reinforced Concrete Member (인발성형된 이형 GFRP 보강근과 GFRP 보강 콘크리트 부재의 크리프 거동)

  • Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) has been gathering interest from designers and engineers for its possible usage as a replacement reinforcement of a steel reinforcing bar due to its advantageous characteristics such as high tensile strength, non-corrosive material, etc. Since it is manufactured with various contents ratios, fiber types, and shapes without any general specification, test results for concrete members reinforced with these FRP reinforcing bars could not be systematically used. Moreover, since investigations for FRP reinforced members have mainly focused on short-term behavior, the purpose of this study is to evaluate long-term behaviors of glass FRP (GFRP) reinforcing bar and concrete beams reinforced with GFRP. In this paper, test results of tensile and bond performance of GFRP reinforcing bar and creep behavior are presented. In the creep tests, results showed that 100 years of service time can be secured when sustained load level is below 55% of tensile strength of GFRP reinforcing bar. A modification factor of 0.73 used to calculate long-term deflection of GFRP reinforced beams was acquired from the creep tests for GFRP reinforced concrete beams. It is expected that these test results would give more useful information for design of FRP reinforced members.

Analysis of Nonlinear Dynamical Behavior for the Daily TOC Time Series in a River (하천의 일TOC 시계열 자료의 비선형 동역학적 거동 분석)

  • 본 연구에서는 영산강 본류를 대표하는 나주지점을 대상으로 하여, 해당 지점에서 자동 측정되고 있는 수질 항목들 중에서 총유기탄소(TOC: Total Organic Carbon)의 시계열 자료에 대한 비선형 동역학적 거동을 파악하고자 하였다. 1994년 낙동강에서의 수질오염 사고 이후 4대강 유역에서 설치.운영되고 있는 수질자동 측정망의 TOC 자료를 일자료로 환산하여 사용하였으며, 시계열 자료에 비선형 동역학적(카오스적) 특성이 존재하는지를 알아보기에 앞서 자료의 전처리 과정으로써 3가지의 잡음제거 방법을 적용하였다. 잡음이 제거된 시계열 자료에 비선형 동역학적 거동의 파악을 위해 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 상관차원분석을 실시하였다. 또한 상관차원분석 결과 비선형 동역학적 거동을 나타내는 것으로 판별된 자료에 대하여 그 양상을 가시적으로 알아보기 위해 지체시간$(\tau)$을 적용하여 3차원 위상공간에 도시하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 나주지점에서 측정되고 있는 총유기탄소에 대해 비선형 잡음제거 방법을 적용한 자료가 비선형 동역학적 거동을 내재하고 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 이를 위상공간에 재건하였을 경우 이상한 끌개(strange attractor)의 뚜렷한 구조가 보이지 않았다. 그러나 상관차원분석 결과 잡음이 제거된 자료가 카오스적 특성을 보이므로, 자료의 단기예측을 위한 방법에 기초적인 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Thermal behavior of spacecraft propulsion system utilizing monopropellant hydrazine ($N_2$$H_4$) is addressed in this paper. Thermal control performance to prevent propellant freezing in spacecraft-operational orbit was test-verified under simulated on-orbit environment. The on-orbit environment was thermally achieved in space-simulation chamber and by the absorbed-heat flux method that implements an artificial heating through to the spacecraft bus panels enclosing the propulsion system. Test results obtained in terms of temperature history of propulsion components are presented and reduced into duty cycles of the avionics heaters which are dedicated to thermal control of those components. The duty cycles are subsequently converted into the electrical power required in the operational orbit. Additionally, cyclic temperature of each component, which was made under thermal-balanced condition of spacecraft, is compared to the acceptable design range and justified from the viewpoint of system verification.

  • This paper introduces a numerical analysis model capable of evaluating CFT (Concrete-Filled Tube) columns across all time stages, incorporating creep behavior analysis and inelastic analysis to account for time-dependent behavior. The proposed model is compared with experimental results, revealing that the numerical model presented in this paper demonstrates more accurate trends than existing design criteria. Following verification, a numerical analysis is conducted for each slenderness ratio, determining the ultimate load capacity and examining the short-term and long-term sustained load behavior of the overall CFT column members.

  • In this study, it was founded to make the optimal mixture for producing concrete which is self-compacting, yet, and generates low heat of hydration by using fly ash, blast furnace slags and limestone powders as binders in addition to cement while using super-plasticizers and viscosity agents as admixture agents. The structural behaviors of the concrete produced with the selected mixture were compared with those of the concrete currently using for construction of nuclear power plants. The study shows that the blended high fluidity concrete including limestone is better in workability and durability than the concrete currently in use for nuclear power plants.

  • 시뮬레이터를 기반으로 하는 CANDU 설계분석시스템 구축을 장기목표로 한 플랜트-제어모사해석기는, 단기적으로는 플랜트의 동적 성능 분석에 의한 원자력 엔지니어들의 개념교육, 발전소 운전원들에 대한 현상학적 발전소 거동이해, 종합적 엔지니어링 시뮬레이터 개발을 위한 R&D 도구로서의 역할이 기대되며, 장기적으로는 엔지니어링 데이터베이스의 공유를 통한 CADD, 시뮬레이터를 이용한 플랜트설계분석시스템의 통합을 이룰 수 있는 기반기술로 자리잡게 될 것이다. 특히 가상현실이라는 개념을 도입해 값비싼 실제 플랜트시설 없이 다양한 운전상황하에서의 플랜트의 성능과 상태를 현장감 있는 환경을 구성해서 모니터링하고 예측할 수 있는 기술의 개발에 활용될 것이다.

A Rheological Approach on the Predicting of Concrete Creep (유변학을 이용한 콘크리트 크리프 거동 예측)

  • The object of this paper is to propose a logical prediction model of a concrete creep using rheology. Rheology is the study on the flow and stress relationship of matter under the influence of an applied stress. It is also estimated as an effective theory to describe concrete long-term deformations. According to a time dependency and a mechanism of occurrence, the proposed creep model was divided into four components, such as an elastic deformation, a long-term creep, a time dependent short-term creep and a time independent short-term creep. Evaluation on an actual creep deformation pattern by time passage confirmed these classification. In order to approve a rationality of the proposed model, most coefficients of each components were derived by the microprestresssolidification theory and design codes. Numerical approaches were also used when it was restricted within narrow limits. Finally, the proposed rheolgical model was verified by actual creep test results and compared with common methods.

  • 구조물 계측 및 유지관리에 포함되는 계측센서, 계측장비, 전산장비, 통신장비, 소프트웨어 등은 구조물 수명에 비해 비교적 짧은 내구수명을 가지기 때문에 공용 기간 중 지속적으로 교체/변경이 요구되고 있으며, 소프트웨어 또한 분석기술의 향상과 정보통신기술의 발전 등을 계속해서 반영해야 하므로 일정기간마다 모니터링시스템에 대한 업그레이드 작업이 요구되고 있다. 그러나, 기존에 개발된 시스템은 구조물 관리자에 의한 일부 하드웨어와 분석 알고리즘의 변경이나 업그레이드가 쉽지 않고 모니터링 시스템의 구축에 활용된 프로그램 내부구조 파악이 어려워 원 개발자의 지속적인 지원에 의존해야한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 모바일 클라우드 기반 구조물 유지관리계측 통합모니터링시스템에서는 구조계가 평상시나 특수한 상황에서 장 단기적으로 어떠한 거동을 보이고 있는지를 분석하고, 이를 토대로 향후의 거동이 어떻게 될지 예측하기 위해서 확률과 통계기법의 적용을 통해서 구할 수 있는 새로운 데이터 분석 기법을 적용하였으며, 모바일 클라우드 기반으로 데이터를 수집하고, 많은 데이터 양 및 데이터 신뢰도 수준에서 건전성평가를 할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 구조물 거동계측 통합모니터링시스템 설계로 기존의 단점을 해결할 수 있도록 개선하였다.

Undrained and Drained Behaviors of Laterally-loaded Offshore Piles (배수조건에 따른 측방유동 해상말뚝의 거동특성)

  • Offshore pile foundations are prone to lateral soil pressures resulting from embankment construction for the reclamation on deepwater soft clay. Since the 1990s, offshore reclamation has actively progressed in Korea, connecting with the development of Songdo newtown, Incheon newport, and Busan newport representatively. Special attention has been given to lateral soil-structure interaction problems related to passively-loaded offshore pile foundations. Based on a plane strain large deformation finite element (LDFE) approach, this paper presents the results of investigation into undrained (short-term) and drained (long-term) behavior of passively-loaded offshore pile foundations. This study examines the effects of major factors, such as soil profile, pile head boundary condition, magnitude of embankment load, and average degree of consolidation. The results allowed quantification of differences in the magnitude of lateral soil pressure acting on the piles between undrained and drained phases.
