  • Although Korea's economic and domestic automobile market through the change of road environment are growth, the traffic accident rate has also increased, and the casualties is at a serious level. For this reason, the government is establishing and promoting policies to open traffic accident data and solve problems. In this paper, describe the method of predicting traffic accidents by eliminating the class imbalance using the traffic accident data and constructing the Hybrid Model. Using the original traffic accident data and the sampled data as learning data which use FP-Growth algorithm it learn patterns associated with traffic accident injury severity. Accordingly, In this paper purpose a method for predicting the severity of a victim of a traffic accident by analyzing the association patterns of two learning data, we can extract the same related patterns, when a decision tree and multinomial logistic regression analysis are performed, a hybrid model is constructed by assigning weights to related attributes.

  • Smoking is one of the important public health concerns because it is preventable causes regarding individuals' negative health consequences and increased social and economic cost. However, few studies have examined longitudinal patterns of stages of changes(SOC) in smoking behaviors among the general population. The purpose of the study is to explore the latent patterns of SOC over time among Korean adult smokers using the 2008-2016 Korea Welfare Panel Study. A repeated measure latent class analysis is employed in the present study. The finding of the present study are as follows: First, four latent groups were identified: (1) action/maintenance stage(33.6%), (2) contemplation/preparation to action/maintenance stage(14.8%), (3) continuously contemplation/preparation stage(29.6%), and (4) continuously pre-contemplation stage(22.1%). Second, the results of a multinomial logistic regression found that socio-demographic and clinical characteristics were associated with the identified longitudinal patterns of smoking behaviors. Compared to a continuously pre-contemplation stage, higher levels of depressive symptoms and drinking behavior were associated with increased odds of being in action/maintenance stage. The findings of the present study highlight that a tailored intervention is needed for individuals with continuously pre-contemplation stage and contemplation stage.

  • This study examines why families move to neighborhoods at different levels of income. By analyzing a survey dataset of homeowners who sold and bought a house in 1999 in Franklin County, Ohio, in USA on their mobility decisions, this study examined the factors associated with cross-income residential location decisions. I categorized both survey respondents and neighborhoods into low-, middle-, and high-income levels and ran multinomial logit analyses for each of the low-, middle-, and high-income family groups to examine why families moved to neighborhoods at different levels of income. The analysis suggests that middle-income families moved to high-income neighborhoods because of school reputation and moved to low-income neighborhoods because of investment purposes.

  • This paper tried to find how the characteristics of purchasing items would have influence on the relational e-procurement. The characteristics of purchasing items include the importance and the complexity of purchasing items. In order to define these characteristics, this paper reviewed various literatures about purchasing strategies. The empirical analysis through the multi-nominal logistic regression shows that the importance of items has influence on relational e-procurement, while the complexity of purchasing process has little influence. And also, the relational e-procurement through EDI as a long term buying relationship is being converted toward the exchange through purchasing sites.

  • Techniques for predicting the future can be categorized into statistics-based and deep-run-based techniques. Among them, statistic-based techniques are widely used because simple and highly accurate. However, working-level officials have difficulty using many analytical techniques correctly. In this study, we compared the accuracy of prediction by applying multinomial logistic regression, decision tree, random forest, support vector machine, and Bayesian inference to marketing related data. The same marketing data was used, and analysis was conducted by using R. The prediction results of various techniques reflecting the data characteristics of the marketing field will be a good reference for practitioners.

  • This study analyzes the technological level of Korean waste-to-energy(WTE) firms and its determinants by using a multiple logistic regression analysis based on a survey. As the results of analysis, the technological level of Korean WTE firms has been positively influenced by the firm size, R&D expenditures, R&D manpower, but negatively influenced by the competition in domestic market. Also there is no significant effect of the economy of scale. The policy implications of this study are as follows; First, the system in which stakeholders coevolve should be set up to prevent excessive market competition from having a bad effect on the technological level of Korean WTE firms. Second, it is needed to make an effort to achieve the economy of scale by increasing an output and decreasing cost in WTE firms.

  • The purpose of this study was to classify latent profiles based on satisfaction of student by the campus-life&educational-experiences and to identify factors affecting satisfaction according to each type. For this study, data from the survey of the A univ(1,952 data) were used. To analyze this, a latent profiles analysis was applied to identify subgroups, in which the students by the campus-life&educational-experiences satisfaction, and a multinomial logistic regression model was applied to verify factors affecting group classification. As a result of the analysis, first four groups were classified in the order of 'average·class·highest·relationship satisfaction type'. Second the factors affecting the classification into the remaining three types with 'the average satisfaction type' as a reference group were found to be significant influencing factors(gender, grade, admission process, GPA grade). Based on these results, this study suggested implications for planning and promoting student-tailored education and student support policies at the university level.

  • The study analyzed the relationship between dating violence and limerence and ruminative response in romentic relationship. The subjects were 205 college students who had experience of dating. And mean age of subjects was 22.1 years. Analysis methods were correlation analysis, ANOVA, two-step cluster analysis, and multinomial logistic regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, self-reproach ruminative respone were significantly higher the victim group and perpetrator victim group than the general group. Second, all sub-factors of ruminative respone were significantly higher the victim group and perpetrator victim group than the general group. Third, the self-reproach ruminative respone was significant positive explanatory variable on dating violence. Fifth, the victim limerence experience significantly increased the odds ratio of victim group of dating violence by 3.3 times, and that of perpetrator victim group of dating violence by 10.9 times. Based on these findings, he discussed the importance of dating violence and the importance of limerence and rumination.

  • This research was conducted to analyze the relationship among school bullying types, collaboration empathy skills, and adaptation of school life. A survey was conducted for the research, and asked 213 adolescents in middle and high schools in capital area(middle school: 106, high school: 107). Data Analysis was used a two-step cluster analysis to classify the type of bullying, explanation of a prediction variable according to the groups were analyzed by a multiple logistic regression analysis. The results of analysis of the research are as in the following. First, experience of afflicting or suffering from school bullying had negative correlation with collaboration empathy skills, and also with school life adaptation. Secondly, assailant group and victim group of school bullying was related to the lack of collaboration skill, and also related with empathy skill. Thirdly, collaboration empathy skills was influential factor on the adaptation of school life. Based on the results, collaboration empathy skills reduce the experience of bullying, and have a positive impact on the adaptation of school life. It confirmed the need for a social skills training program and discussed the implications.

  • School absenteeism, one of the early warning signs of behavioral problems, has been known to be a complex and heterogeneous problem. However, much of the research assumes that school absentee adolescents comprise a homogeneous group. This study explored the heterogeneity of school absentee adolescents, based on school adaptation, to provide a more nuanced understanding of school absenteeism and examined predictive and risk factors associated with each typology of school absentee adolescents. Latent profile analysis was conducted using sample 477 middle school students who were reported absent in the previous year from the 3rd wave of Korean Children and Youth Panel Study. Multinomial logistic regression and ANOVA was also employed to examine the effects of predictive variables. As a result, three profiles were identified: low, middle, and high adaptive group. Group membership was found to be associated deferentially with gender, mental health, parenting neglect, delinquent friends, and delinquent behaviors. These findings propose more specific and targeted interventions designed to meet the needs and risk factors associated with the different typologies of school absentee adolescents.
