For the users of information retrieval systems, natural language query is the more ideal interface, compared with keyword and boolean expressions. This paper proposes a retrieval technique with expanded keyword from syntactically-analyzed structures of natural language query as user input. Through the steps combining or splitting the compound nouns based on syntactic tree traversal of the query, and expanding the other-formed or shorten-formed into multiple keyword, it can enhance the precision and correctness of the retrieval system.

웹의 확산과 더불어 공간적, 지역적으로 분산되어 있는 그룹의 구성원들 사이의 정보의 공유 및 재사용을 지원하는 웹 기반의 정보시스템 개발이 활발해지고 있다. 이러한 시스템들은 다중사용자 환경에서 안정적이고 효율적인 서비스를 지속적으로 제공하는 것이 바람직하다. 본 논문에서는 웹 상의 가상공간을 통하여 효과적이고 안정적인 그룹간의 공동작업 각간을 지원하는 iPlace/java 시스템을 개발하였다. iPlace/java 시스템은 자바 컴포넌트 아키텍쳐인 EJB(Enterprise JavaBean)를 기반으로 하는 컴포넌트로 구성되어 서버의 확장성 및 재사용성을 높이고, 다중 사용자환경에 적합한 트랜잭션 관리와 보안으로 안정적인 서비스를 제공한다. 또한 자바 기술만을 이용함으로써 플랫폼에 독립적이며 서버구동에 필요한 비용을 상당히 절감할 수 있었다.

인터넷 접속이 가능한 장치의 종류가 계속 증가하고 있으나, 인터넷에 있는 많은 컨텐츠들은 제한된 성능을 가지는 장치들에서는 제대로 표현되지 않는다. 컨텐츠 제작비용 절감을 위해서는 기존의 컨텐츠를 재활용하는 것이 바람직하며, 본 논문에서는 이러한 목적으로 주석 편집기, 저작시점의 주석서버, 수행시점의 주석서버로 구성되는 다중 사용자 주석시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템을 활용하면 컨텐츠 저작자는 컨텐츠에 의미 정보와 중요성을 부여하고, 컨텐츠 제공자는 웹 컨텐츠 변환을 위한 기본 주석을 제공하고 일반 사용자는 자신만의 개인화된 컨텐츠를 위한 주석을 별도로 작성할 수 있어 웹 컨텐츠 저작과 구축 그리고 사용에 관계된 모든 사용자들의 요구 사항을 충족시킬 수 있는 웹 문서 변환이 가능하다.

Movie contents requiring multiple shootings in places need much man power and many equipments. It is more serious in the case of multiple simultaneous shootings. In the points of small broadcasting companies, it is more difficult to cope with the situation, but it is also an essential task for the variety of video contents. We propose an one-person movie production scheme based on an IP camera-based live webcasting system which makes multiple shootings in places possible. It consists of three main functions of (1) collecting multiple video streams sent from IP cameras installed in places, (2) properly distributing them to Internet, and (3) receiving and editing them including recording video. By using the proposed scheme, we can be able to remotely utilize a new framework of Single-Person/ Multiple-Camera which beyonds the conventional Single-Person/Single-Camera framework. It becomes possible to take multiple simultaneous shoots in places. We can get an advantage of saving man power and time for producing various movie contents.

Now, plastic surgery has become the industry for beauty. In order to know the characteristics of high-visit web sites that many people have visited, 33 high visit websites of plastic surgery were compared to 60 benchmark sites of same industry. We selected 34 web site attributes that can be measured objectively from existing studies. For analysis, Multiple Discriminant Analysis(MDA) is conducted for searching what attributes divide two group definitely. The result of this study shows the dividing attributes fall into 2 categories like 'Community', 'Up to date'. Thus, we are able to conclude that high-visit plastic surgery web sites are community-centric site but not contents-centric and are maintained with tide up to date. The methodology employed in this study provides an efficient way of improving satisfaction of visitors of plastic surgery website.

웹 서비스의 사용이 급격히 증가함에 따라 사용자의 웹 서비스 005(Quality of Services)에 대란 관심도 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 QoS 요소들 중 응답 시간(Response time) 향상에 대한 스케줄링 기법을 제안하여, 서비스의 질을 향상시키고자 한다. 구체적으로는 기존의 그리드 시스템에 사용되고 있는 단일 배치 스케줄링 기법을 기본으로 한 다중 배치 스케줄링을 연구하였으며, 이를 통해 그리드 기반 웹 서비스의 응답 시간 성능이 개선됨을 확인하였다.

Many web-based Information systems require degrees of adaptation of the system's user interfaces to different client devices, users and tasks. We describe a new approach to providing adaptable client interfaces for web-based Information systems that allow a developer to specify a web-based interface using a high-level mark-up language. At run-time this single interface description is used to automatically provide for multiple web devices This approach allows developers to much more easily construct and maintain web-based user interfaces than other current approaches.

A rapid growth in the number of Internet users and in massive media contents tends to cause server overload and high network traffic. As a consequence, it can be safely assumed that the quality of service is on the brink of deterioration. A solution of this problem is the development of the Content Distribution Network. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a transmission model using CDN. This model uses regional media server which closes to client, and uses MDC coding and multi-channel to reduce packet loss and delay. In conclusion, this study improved performance of multimedia service by reducing packet loss and delay.

Enterprises as well as central and local governments have tried to apply ubiquitous technology to the actual life on the various types of business and projects. In this paper we develop strategic plan to provide public service on public areas based on needs analysis of public services as well as trend analysis of ubiquitous and web technology. Ubiquitous service model should be based on geospatial web which can incorporate participation and collaboration concepts, as the wire/wireless network system develop rapidly. To achieve this purpose, we suggest the following projects; 1), construction of internet map based on geospatial web technology, 2), development of web contents based on geospatial web, 3), installing ubiquitous equipment, and 4), upgrade Seoul Metropolitan Government's homepage and internet system which can incorporate web 2.0 concepts. Ubiquitous service model should be based on not only development of ubiquitous technology but also needs of consumer such as citizen, enterprises, and public sectors which have an interest in that place. Geospatial web will be the core of development of ubiquitous service models.
