  • This study was conducted to identify factors influencinging confidence in performing patient safety management (PSM) of nursing students. The subjects of this study were 230 nursing students in four universities in two cities. Data were collected between June 22 and June 26, 2020 using by completing structured self report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 21.0. programs. In correlation analysis, significant positive correlations were found between confidence in performing PSM, PSM knowledge(r=.321, p<.001), PSM attitude(r=.584, p<.001), and clinical decision making ability(𝛽=.460, p<.001). In multiple regression analysis, PSM attitude(𝛽=.35, p=.005) and clinical decision making ability(𝛽=.23, p<.001) were factors predicting confidence in performing PSM, which explained 34.2% of the variance in the model. Therefore, we emphasize that continuing customized convergence educational programs are required to improve nursing student's confidence in performing PSM.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify factors that affect oral health behavior of high school students and provide data to improve oral health. An online survey of 389 high school students was conducted and the data was analyzed using SPSS 22.0. According to a multiple regression analysis of factors affecting oral health behavior, gender is male, regions with rural areas, tooth brushing education help in practice, and higher oral health knowledge increases oral health behavior. In order to improve the practice of brushing teeth, many opportunities should be provided through continuous oral health education and the importance of oral care should be recognized. Therefore, it is considered necessary to apply various educational programs suitable for the target person in consideration of general characteristics to enhance oral health behavior.

The study inquiries were as follows: which individual factors had an effect on the adolescents' self-esteem? Which family factors had an effect on the adolescents' self-esteem? Which environmental factors had an effect on the adolescents' self-esteem? Of all the factors considered in this study, which factors had the greatest effect on adolescents' self-esteem? This study used data from the 3rd Korean Child and Youth Panel survey of Korean students in the first grade of middle school, and the data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0. The results were as follows: the most important factor that have an effect on adolescents' self-esteem was parenting style, while peer attachment, health status, and academic attachment were also found to significantly affect adolescents' self-esteem. • This study was conducted to investigate the factors affecting stress before clinical practice among nursing students. The subjects of the study were surveyed on third-grade students who were about to undergo their first clinical practice. The data collection period was from December 22, 2023 to January 10, 2024, with a total of 191 nursing students. The instruments used for this study were Perceived stress scale(Pss), Self-leadership, and Global Interpersonal Communication Competency(GICC) scale. The data were analyzed by t-tests, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 21.0. The results of the study showed a negative correlation with self-leadership(r=-.29, p=<.001) and interpersonal communication competence(r=-.40, p=<.001). In the stepwise multiple regression analysis, it was found that the stress levels of nursing students before clinical practice were influenced by factors such as gender, satisfaction with the department, and interpersonal communication competence. These variables explained 33.7% of the variance in pre-clinical stress. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended to develop educational interventions that can help reduce stress before clinical practice among nursing students.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the converged influencing factors on the stages of exercise behavior changes in shift work nurses. The subjects were 120 shift work nurses working in hospitals who understood the purpose of the study and agreed to participate in the study. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, $X^2$ test, and multiple logistic regression analysis. The exercise motivation factors of shift work nurses had a significant effect on stages of exercise behavior change (${\beta}=2.480$, p=.022), health status perceptions(${\beta}=1.151$, p=.013). Social support factors (${\beta}=1.819$, p=.002) and marital status (${\beta}=-1.820$, p=.004) also had significant effects on the stages of exercise behavior change of shift work nurses. In other words, subjects with change in exercise behavior had 11.9 times higher motivation and 3.1 times higher health status perception than those without change in exercise behavior, social support was 6.1 times higher, and unmarried subjects showed 16 times showed higher than that of married subjects. Therefore, it is important to develop a strategy to practice continuous and regular exercise in consideration of the exercise motivation, social support, and health status perception of the nurses in shift work.

  • The purpose of this study was to provide a convergence suggestion of health care and social welfare services by empirically analyzing the effects of chronic diseases and quality of life on subjective health cognition in single-household women aged 60 or over. This study was based on the 2016-2019 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, and 1,111 women who had been divorced or bereaved in single-household aged 60 or over were selected. As a result, it was arthritis that showed the largest average difference in subjective health cognition according to the prevalence of chronic diseases. And in the multiple regression analysis that was controlled for demographic characteristics, chronic disease had a negative (-) effect on subjective health cognition, and quality of life had a positive (+) effect on subjective health cognition. The negative (-) factor that had the greatest effect on subjective health cognition was diabetes(-0.084) among chronic diseases, and the positive (+) factor was mobility(+0.173) among the quality of life. Therefore, it suggests that health care services for chronic diseases should be strengthened in order to improve the subjective health cognition of single-person households over 60 years old, and social welfare policies to improve the quality of life should be considered together in a convergence.

To this end, 1,146 multicultural adolescents who were enrolled in high school and whose fathers were Korean were selected as subjects of analysis as data for the 7th year of the Multicultural Youth Panel (MCAPS). As a result, first, it was found that self-esteem, which was an individual factor, and adaptation to school life and multicultural acceptance, which are social and environmental factors, positive effect career decision-making. Second, it was found that depression as an emotional factor and neglect as a parent factor had a negative effect on career decision-making. However, it was confirmed that stress as an individual factor, and parent-child communication as a parent factor did not affect career decision-making. These results are meaningful in that they provided basic data on how to deal with each factor and prevent multicultural youths from wandering in advance without deciding their career paths.

  • This study was attempted to determine the satisfaction of nursing students' online classes in the situation of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and to identify factors affect it. This study conducted a survey on nursing students 220 in Daegu-Gyeongbuk area for a month in April 2021. The collected data were subjected to t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. As a result of analyzing the factors affecting the online class satisfaction of nursing students, the learner factor (β=.29, p<.001) and the system factor (β=.51, p<.001) had a statistically significant effect, the variable with the greatest relative influence was the system factor. As online classes are expected to expand even after the end of COVID-19, for a change to education that can increase the satisfaction of learners, through the development of an online operating system suitable for learning and establishing a foundation for learners to learn independently A paradigm shift in nursing education is necessary.

  • This study, using the data of the community health survey, chose 2,162 as research objects. To examine convergent neighborhood environmental factors related with walking days of women in their 20s and 30s in Busan city, this study conducted multiple regression analysis. The analysis found out that, the larger the picnic area is, the larger the number of sports facilities is, the larger the number of walking days of those women gets. It was also found out that students walk more often than those who do not work. The older women are, and the larger commercial areas are, the smaller the number of their walking days. Accordingly, it is necessary to design programs suitable to residents in different areas by collecting opinions of residents and testing priorities, necessity, and effectiveness.
