A BER Analysis of a Space-Time Signal Processing Scheme that Combines Transmitter Diversity and Beamforming in Correlated Fading (상관 페이딩에서의 송신 다이버시티와 송신 빔형성 기술을 결합한 시공간 신호 처리 구조의 BER 해석)

  • We introduce a new space-time signal processing scheme that uses both transmitter diversity technique and transmitter beamforming technique for code-division multiple access (CDMA) systems. Over complex Gaussian Rayleigh channel, the introduced scheme achieves the diveristy gain through the transmitter diversity technique. and the SNR gain by th transmitter beamforming technique. Bit error rate (BER) analyses are given to each of the three cases in which the transmitter diversity scheme, the transmitter beamforming scheme and the introduced scheme are used, in the slowly varying Rayleigh frequency nonselective fading channel. The Monte-Carlo simulation results are shown to match to the analytic results. When the channels between distant antennas are independent, analytic results show that the introduced scheme achieves the lowest $E_{b/}$ $N_{0}$ at target BER 10$^{-6}$ . When the channels between distant antennas are correlated, analytic and simulation results show that the introduced scheme is more robust to the change of channel correlation.n.

The multipath propagation loss analysis of dynamic telemetry link using the 3D antenna pattern (3차원 안테나 패턴을 사용한 동적 원격측정링크의 다중경로 전파손실 분석)

  • Telemetry link is dynamic communication link that antenna gain and polarization are varying with the movement of the airplane. In this paper we calculated the antenna gain, polarization mismatch using the flight trajectory, motion of the airplane and 3D antenna pattern. And we modeled the multipath environment to the 2-Ray spherical earth reflection geometry, estimated the received signal strength when the narrow beam antenna received the RF signal transmitted from the airplane. Also we performed the flight test and after comparing measured value with the estimated value, we confirmed to almost coincide with each other.

  • This paper basically considers a space-division multiple-access (SDMA) systems where all nodes including the base station and mobile stations are equipped with equal number of antennas. In the SDMA system, for each transmit antenna, the user corresponding to the largest signal-to-interference-plus-noise (SINR) is selected to be supported. In this environment with the minimum mean squared error receivers, we analyze the average throughput using the previous works.

  • Recently, in order to improve high speed data transmission and spectral efficiency in wireless communication systems, the study on the combination OFDM and space-time coding is active. Also, a solution to improve system capacity in multiuser systems is to use adaptive antennas. In a system using STBC, the signals transmitted from two transmit antennas are superposed at the receive antenna and the interference between two transmit antennas of a user occures. Thus it is difficult to apply the conventional beamforming techniques for single antenna to the systems using space-time coding. In this Paper, we present the MMSE beanforming technique using training sequence for STBC-OFDM systems in reverse link and evaluate the performance by using various parameters in TU and HT channels.

  • In this paper, we propose a path loss model with the multiple antennas and doppler shift for high speed railroad communication. Path loss model is very important in order to design consider diverse characteristic in high-speed train communication. Currently wireless communication systems use the multiple antennas in order to improve the channel capacity or diversity gain. However, until recently, many researches on path loss model only consider geographical environment between the transmitter and the receiver. There is no study about path loss model considering diversity effect and doppler shift. In order to make average residuals considering doppler shift we use tuned free space path loss model which is utilized for measurement results at high speed railroad. The environment of high speed rail is mostly at viaduct and flatland over than 50 percent. And in order to make average residuals considering multiple antenna we use theoretical estimation of diversity gain with MRC scheme. proposed model predict loss of received signal by estimating average residuals between diversity effect and doppler shift.

  • 본 논문에서는 IoS (Internet of Signage) 환경에서 실감형 데이터 전송을 위한 상황 인지 기반 적응형 전송기법을 적용하고 이를 분석한다. 사이니지 네트워크 환경에서는 임의적인 다중 경로 페이딩, 간섭 등과 같은 왜곡 요소가 존재할 수 있기 때문에 이를 대처하기 위해 무선 송신기에서는 채널 환경에 대한 인지 이후, 그에 따른 MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme)를 선정 및 안테나 기법을 선정한다. MCS 및 안테나 기법 선정을 위해 무선 송신기에서는 사전에 알고 있는 통계적인 SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) 값을 통해 문턱값을 계산하고, 수신 사이니지로부터 얻은 CSI (Channel State Information)와의 크기 비교를 한다. 시뮬레이션 결과에서는 상황 인지를 기반으로 매 순간 최적의 전송률을 달성할 수 있음을 볼 수 있다.

  • In this paper, a low complexity subcarrier allocation scheme is proposed for multiuser MIMO-OFDM systems with zero-forcing beamformer (ZFBF) so that the total transmit power can be minimized satisfying given target data rate. Since the optimal method requires very high computational complexity, we propose a low complextiy suboptimal method. Using the fact that the effective channel gain is proportional to the orthogonallity of channels of multiplexed users, a user set with the highest orthogonality of channel among users is assigned to each subcarrier in order to minimize required transmit power. The numerical results show that the proposed suboptimal method can reduce computational complexity with little performance loss.

  • This paper discusses the development of a acoustic vector channel simulator for the performance analysis of a acoustic digital communication system. The channel simulator consists of transmission module, acoustic channel model, receiver, beamformer, and adaptive equalizer. QPSK source signal is generated by the parameters specified by a user and transmitted. The transmitted signal generate multipath signals which have a different delay, amplitude, and dopper Sequency. The multipath signals with the acoustic noises is the received signal. We can analysis the communication system performance according to the antenna structure, beamforming algorithm, and equalization algorithm.

  • In this paper, we investigate the user scheduling, transmit beamforming, and receive beamforming of uplink space division multiple access (SDMA) systems where multiple users are allowed to transmit their signal to a base station (BS) using the same frequency band simultaneously. The BS performs a receive beamforming using the predetermined pseudo-random pattern and select users with a specific criterion. Especially, in this paper, we propose the threshold-based transmit power control, in which a user decrease its transmit power according if its generating interference to other users's signal is larger than a predetermined threshold. Assuming that the TDD system is used, the channel state information (CSI) can be obtained at each user from pilot signals from the BS. Simulation results show that the proposed technique significantly outperforms the existing user scheduling algorithms.
