The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of the lesson using Multiple Intelligence on self-esteem in the unit of Resources management and environment in Technology${\cdot}$Home Economics of middle school. In this study, the lesson using Multiple Intelligence theory for six hours was developed and applied to a class of 37 students of middle school as an experimental group. Lecture-style lesson was applied to the other class of 37 students as a control group. Significant differences between pre-test and post-test scores of self-esteem were found in the experimental group. Post-test scores of self-esteem were higher than pre-test scores of self-esteem in the experimental group. There were no significant differences between pre-test and post-test scores of self-esteem in the control group. It was found that the lesson using Multiple Intelligence theory was effective in improving self-esteem of middle school students.

This study proposes an education program using presidential archives to develop the multiple intelligence of children and the youth based on the multiple intelligence theory and the resource-based learning theory. To accomplish this, we performed a literature review and interviews with an archivist working in the Presidential Archive in Korea. This study compared and analyzed the Presidential Archives' education programs between the U.S. and Korea. This study can be useful and valuable in developing education programs in two areas, with the first area being the fact that the proposed program could help learners improve academic abilities by developing multiple intelligence and the second area being the fact that the program could increase the awareness of the importance of presidential archives. With the proposed program, the utilization of presidential archives can be facilitated.

The purpose of this study is for the students who are naturally diverse in personality and behavior in the alternative school to examine the effect of the computer subject achievement and how to increase the student's interest in learning by means of the implementation of Howard Gardener, the Multiple-Intelligence Hypothesis. To verify this study, two groups of sophomore students from an Alternative High School located in Hwasung : The Experimental group consisted of 20 students who would participate in the Computer Science program by learning or applying new skills, based on the Multiple Intelligence Hypothesis. The Comparison Group consisted of 19 students who would follow the standardized Computer Science teaching and lesson plan. During five weeks, the multiple-Intelligence effect was executed in the search groups comparing the differences of the pre-test and pro-test. Pro-test showed following results: Firstly, the experiment search group showed a higher significant improvement in the subject achievement, compared to the comparison group. Secondly, the experiment search group showed a much higher increase in the interest of learning, compared to the comparison group. Thirdly, the experiment search group did not show any differences of the social development compared to the comparison group.

In this paper, we propose features extraction method using Rough sets theory for efficient data classifications in hyperspectral environment. First, analyze the properties of multispectral image data, then select the most efficient bands using discemibility of Rough sets theory based on analysis results. The proposed method is applied Landsat TM image data, from this, we verify the equivalence of traditional bands selection method by band features and bands selection method using Rough sets theory that pmposed in this paper. Finally, we present theoretical basis to features extraction in hyperspectral environment.

최근의 영재의 개념은 다중지능, 다양한 재능을 포함하는 복합적인 확장된 개념으로 이해하고 있으며, 이러한 다양한 능력을 키워줄 수 있도록 함으로써 21세기에 걸맞은 인재를 양성하는데 초점을 두고 있다. 이런 측면에서 Gardner의 다중지능 이론은 영재교육에 시사하는 바가 크다. 본 연구에서는 영재의 다중지능 특성을 분석하여 강점과 약점을 파악함으로써 다양한 직업을 선호하는 그들의 능력을 균형적으로 계발해 주고 저마다의 소질과 적성을 키워줄 수 있는 데 관심을 가지려고 한 것이다. 전반적으로 초등수학영재는 개인이해 지능, 논리-수학적 지능, 대인관계 지능이 강하고, 신체-운동적 지능이 약하게 나타났다. 또 직업 선호도에서는 의료인 선택이 가장 많은 바, 수학영재에 대해 논리-수학적 지능 영역에 관한 교육과 아울러 다른 다중지능 특성과 적성에 맞는 교육도 복합적으로 할 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

This research was based on Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences theory. The purpose of this study was to describe students' book selection preferences using the theory of multiple intelligences. We have conducted a survey of high schools in the Chung-Nam province, consisting of 100 students, 50 in the high academically achieving group and another 50 in the low achieving group, in an attempt to analyze the relationship between their book selection preferences and the types of students' multiple intelligences. We want to assist in the research data for the reading guide.

We aim to investigate whether the activities in the 2015 revised elementary English textbooks are reflected in terms of Multiple Intelligences. Specifically, we analyze three types of activities including project, game, and cultural activities in three types of the 5^th grade English textbooks. Additionally, we compare the differences in the Multiple Intelligences according to three different publishers. The data includes three different sorts of fifth-grade English textbook activities. We found that verbal-linguistic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, and visual-spatial intelligence are heavily involved in project activities. Verbal-linguistic intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, visual-spatial intelligence, and kinesthetic intelligence are all utilized in game activities. Lastly, cultural activities demonstrate verbal-linguistic and visual-spatial intelligence. In consideration of the diversity of students, we suggest that English textbooks need to consider diverse and well balanced approach to incorporating Multiple Intelligences in order to make the textbooks to meet the needs of the diversity of learners.

These days, school education is making every possible effort to bring up a human able to opposed creatively to 21 century social, because of society is global and informational step by step. For this, the special activity in the seventh curriculum is expended and reorganized from three areas to five areas. On the other hand, the special activity is pushed ahead with the developmental activity in consideration of student's ability and aptitude. However, the teachers are difficult to organize of the developmental activity in based on student's ability and aptitude. Because of developmental activity is organized in the beginning of a term, not only the teachers are fallen to realize student's ability and aptitude but also students ignore ability and aptitude themselves. Therefore this paper designs a program based on MI(Multiple Intelligence) theory to compose developmental activity effectively. Up to now, MI is introduced nine kinds of intelligence, Linguistic Intelligence, Logical-Mathematical Intelligence, Musical Intelligence, Spatial Intelligence, Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence, Naturalist Intelligence, and Existentialist intelligence. this paper designs the K-MIDAS test[1] based on seven kinds of intelligence areas and implements developmental activity program suit to student's ability and aptitude based on the MI test result.

Information Literacy Instruction(ILI) is recognised with essential role of the school library, as information use ability appears with one literacy in knowledge and information society. The successful ILI is necessary teaching and teaming model of student's activities that it provides the various experience, to motivate, to promote positive participation. Consequently, this study is developed to teaching and teaming model of student's activity through Multiple Intelligences which emphasizes to human's multi dimension and activities.
