Membership Management for Group Management Protocol (그룹 관리 통신을 위한 멤버쉽 관리)

  • 다자간 그룹 통신에서는 일대일 통신과 다르게 그룹에 참여하는 참여자의 수가 많아지고, 각 참여자의 정보량이 많아짐에 따라 참여자들의 정보와 현재 상태 등을 체크하는 멤버쉽 관리 기능을 해 주는 구조가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 다자간 통신에서 그룹에 참여하는 참여자들을 관리하는 그룹 관리 프로토콜의 한 부분인 멤버쉽 관리(Membership Management) 기능을 설계 구현하였다. 이러한 MM 기능은 클라이언트/서버 기반으로 동작하며, 서버측에서 모든 클라이언트의 멤버쉽을 관리한다. 설계된 멤버쉽 관리 기능의 알고리즘은 간단하기 때문에 그룹 통신에서 간단하고 효율적인 멤버쉽 관리를 할 수 있으며, 멤버쉽 관리를 서버측에서 함으로서 송신자측의 부담이 줄어든다. 본 논문에서는 멤버쉽 관리를 시험하기 위한 응용으로서 멀티캐스트 전송 프로토콜인 ECTP 배포판에 나온 응용을 사용하여 시험하였다.

A Study on Privacy Preserving Methods in the Metaverse Environment Using Secure Multi-Party Computation (안전한 다자간 연산을 활용한 메타버스 환경에서의 프라이버시 보존 방안 연구)

  • The rapidly growing metaverse environment has received widespread attention across various fields such as health and medicine, culture and gaming, as well as politics. However, the excessive collection of personal data by the diverse sensors and devices used in the metaverse environment poses a substantial threat to user privacy. In this paper, we investigate existing cases of secure Multi-Party Computation(MPC) applications, examine the services anticipated to be necessary for the expansion of the metaverse environment, and analyze the privacy issues present in the metaverse environment as well as the limitations of current real-world services. Based on these findings, we propose application scenarios that utilize MPC to preserve user privacy in the metaverse environment. These proposed MPC application scenarios present a new perspective in metaverse security research. In the future, they are expected to be utilized in the development of secure metaverse services.

  • It is important that the interaction between learners and contents in Educational Contents. But, there is just simple interaction in traditional WBI or CAI. As it is necessary to study for interaction with learners. There is applied more multimedia elements for the fun of learners. But, it is also necessary to study for Network Educational Game Contents which can give virtual environment to learn easily and funny. In this study, Competition Learning Model is designed for network learning environment. We can look at the new view point of Educational Contents by implementation of Network Educational Game Contents and Competition Learning Model.

  • VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)는 음성 및 화상과 같은 멀티미디어 세션을 인터넷과 같은 IP 기반 네트워크를 통해 통신하는 기술이다. 최근에는 기존의 PC 시스템 이외에 이동통신기기와 다양한 무선네트워크 기반 휴대용 기기들의 보급으로 VoIP 의 사용량은 크게 증가하고 있다. 하지만, 무선네트워크는 그 특성과 환경적 요인으로 NAT 에서의 차단, 지연, 유실등과 같이 통신의 연속성을 보장해 주지 못하는 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선네트워크에서 통신할 때 발생할 수 있는 이런 문제들에 대응하는 해결 방안을 제시하고 RTP 미디어 재생의 연속성을 보장하는 ICE 기반 다자간 VoIP 시스템 설계와 구현모델에 대해서 기술하고자 한다.

An Integrated management Platform for Multicast Environments of the multipeer, multimedia applications (다자간 멀티미디어 응용의 멀티캐스트 통신환경을 위한 통합 관리 플랫폼)

  • This paper, proposes an integrated management platform to solve various management issues for multicast environments, which have been considered as an important transfer method together the appearance of multipeer applications recently(i.e,. IPME). First of all this paper describes the problems and related works of multicast environments, and proposes the general architecture of a management platform to manage multicast environments after considering design requirements to implement a proposed platform. This paper also proposes the management services to be provided, a general system architecture, its functional modules, and the management architecture such as a management procedure, establishment phases, management policies, and a Management Information Base(MIB) structure. In order to verify the proposed IPME, it is also applied and implemented as prototyping system to the QoS management service for H.263 video encoding/decoding system, that is IPME-QoS, which currently is a critical issue and uses multicast environments.

  • To overcome the limit of a point-point connection type service which is common to the ISDN bearer services, a new concept of network element, Service Node, which can provide multiparty connections and control the teleservices on those connections is proposed. This will support conference type multiparty multimedia services among normal ISDN subscribers. In this paper, as a primary study on this concept, we deduce some attributes of the general conference type services and examine the methods and procedures to provide that kind of services through the ISDN. Based on this study, we also define the general requirements and basic structure for the Service Node realization, thus give shape to the concept of it.

  • ReMP(Reliable Multipeer Protocol)는 멀티미디어 그룹 통신을 지원하기 위해 설계된 신뢰성 있는 다자간 전송 프로토콜이다ㅣ. 본 논문에서는 ReMP가 제한된 환경에서도 올바르게 동작함을 증명하였으며, 호스트에서의 처리량 관점에서 데이터 전송에 대한 성능 분석을 시도하였다. 또한 이를 토대로 ReMP는 성능이나 메모리 요구량 관점에 비추어 볼 때, 다른 비교 대상 프로토콜들보다 광범위한 용도의 멀티미디어 그룹 통신에 적용되어질 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

  • As communication networks become very fast, the scope of applications is varied and applications using multi-party communications in which more than one communication station participate, have been increased. In this paper, multicast servers are designed and implemented by two different schemes (centralized multicast server scheme and distributed multicast server scheme). Both scheme contain three operation for joining/leaving of a node, operation for transmitting the name of the group and messages to the server, and operation for a node to read messages and clear shared memory. Based on their implementations, two multicast server schemes are compared in terms of complexity, extendibility, efficiency and real-time aspects. As a result, the average transfer time of the distributed multicast server scheme is shorter than that of the centralized multicast server scheme. Finally, we designed the multi-party real-time communication method to guarantee QoS in multicast.

  • In this study, we propose the multiple VoIP service networks for P2P network environments based on portable internet. We found that voiceservice using portable internet is possible for real time services. After we designe the multiple VoIP service networks for P2P network environments based on portable internet, evaluate the performances. from the performance evaluations, we found satisfactory results and so we can expect the possibility of the portable internet services.
