Image-Based Relighting Rendering System (영상 기반 실시간 재조명 렌더링 시스템)

  • We develop an interactive relighting renderer allowing camera view changes based on a deep-frame buffer approach. The renderer first caches the rendering parameters for a given 3D scene in an auxiliary buffer with the same size of the output image. The rendering parameters independent from light changes are selected from the shading models used for shading pixels. Next, as the user interactively edits one light at one time, the relighting renderer instantly re-shades each pixel by updating the contribution of the changed light with the shading parameters cached in the deep-frame buffer. When the camera moves, the cache values should be re-computed because the currently cached values become obsolete. We present a novel method to synthesize them quickly from the cache images of the user specified cameras by using an image-based technique. This computations are all performed on GPU to achieve real-time performance.

Consumer Segmentation based on Consideration Set of Stores and Importance of Store Image (고려점포군에 따른 소비자 세분화와 점포이미지 중요도에 관한 연구)

  • Consumers evaluate stores by comparing stores that we, in their minds, similar and are competitive with one another; and in this way, the term "consideration set of stores" is defined as those store alternatives the consumer is aware of and evaluates positively. The purpose of this study is to aid in understanding the consideration set of stores in store choice processes in apparel product purchases. More specifically, this study aims to clarify the relation between consideration set of stores and importance of store image. As a result, the respondents of quantitative study were classified into seven groups by the number of stores and store types they considered: 1) "small-road shop sets group" ; 2) "small-market sets group" ; 3) "small- department store sets group" ; 4) "small-department store/outlet sets group" ; 5) "large-department store/market sets group" ; 6) "large-department store/road shop sets group" ; and 7) "large-department store sets group". Further, significant differences among the groups in the importance of store image were observed. For example, low prices were an important factor in both the small-market considering group and large-department store/market considering group when choosing a retail store, there were also differences in the considering groups in that for the small-department store considering group, store mileage-discount cards were important whereas ample space for relaxation around the stores were important retail store selection factors for the large-department store/road shop considering group. This study may provide a useful direction to retailers in finding out who the target customers and competitive stores are and allow retailers to make proper marketing strategies.

Female Images in Cosmetic TV Commercials of Feminism : Focused on Cases (1991-2019) of Mamonde (페미니즘 관점에서 본 화장품 TV광고의 여성 이미지 : 1991년~2019년의 마몽드 광고 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to figure out the characteristics and trends of female images in domestic cosmetic ads, in regard to the introduction and change of the feminism. To begin with, 86 TV commercials of Mamonde cosmetic brands, aired from 1991 to 2019, was analysed in both quantitative and qualitative method. In result, in the first period (1991~1997), the radical feminism was predominant, insisting equality with males. But in the second period (1998~2005), it returned to the liberal feminism in which conventional female images remains. In the third period (2006-2011), the feminism and the post feminism appeared to be mixed, while, in the fourth period (2012-2019), the post feminism has become remarkable where females actively pursue the beauty. To summarize, it is meaningful in academic aspect that the result is a case study which vertically examined the female images of one single cosmetic brand in terms of feminism, on the other hand, in practical aspect that they suggest the establishment of communication and creative strategies of female products.

  • 설상가상이다 지난해 연말 발표된 서울시의 위생검사 결과가 또 다시 자판기 산업계에 악영향을 미쳤다. 원인은 율무차에 있었다. 커피자판기에서 주음료 판매되는 커피는 세균오염으로 인한 위생 문제가 없었다. 반면 구색상품이라 할 수 있는 율무차가 심각한 세균오염으로 음용 부적합 판정을 받은 비율이 높았다. 메인이 아닌 구색음료 하나 때문에 전체 이미지가 흐려지니 억울한 측면이 강하다. 어쨌든 누누히 반복되는 커피자판기 비위생문제를 좌시만하고 있을 수는 없다. 이제 잘못된 부분들은 적극적으로 개선해 나가지 않으면 점점 입지가 좁아질 수밖에 없다. 과연 지난 서울시 위생점검은 커피 자판기 분야에 어떠한 시사점을 남겼을까?

Infection and Mutation - On the H. P. Lovecraft's fiction and "Project LC. RC" (감염과 변이 -H. P. 러브크래프트의 소설과 『Project LC. RC』에 대하여)

  • This article describes the fear of infection through the Covid19 pandemic and the rapid phase change of human species with H. P. Lovecraft's fiction and "Project LC. RC". Pandemic and climate change, which can be called global weirding, fundamentally question the status and history of human species in the ecosystem. The horror creature and cosmological indifferentism in Lovecraft's weird fiction are contemporary in that they help shed light on today's global weirding. But Lovecraft's racism allows him to ask more fundamental questions about the logjam of his cosmic horror. "Project LC. RC" are a Korean writers's works of cultural variation that rewrites controversial racism and misogyny in Lovecraft's fiction. Such variation becomes the task of creating a mutation in Lovecraft as it becomes infected with the affection of Lovecraft's writing. This article first noted the creative power of Lovecraft's fiction that induces such a mutation. And under this premise, this article wanted to reveal the meaning of Lee Seo young, Eun rim, and Kim Bo young's recreates of Lovecraft's fiction through the analysis of images and motifs of abject, plant creature and symbiosis. Specifically, Lovecraft's creature, which evokes phallic fear, turns into an image of an abject embracing and comforting women's despair("I Want You to Stay Low"), a plant creature that provides women with refuge("Color in the Well"), and a creature of care and symbiotic life("A Sea of Plague"). This recreate/rewriting has contemporary significance in that it embodies values such as labor, care, and solidarity in their works. The conclusion noted another power of creative variation in Lovecraft's fiction, which is not reduced to recreate/rewriting.

  • 본 논문은 다시점을 갖는 무안경 3D 디스플레이 시스템에 관한 연구이다. 최근 안경식 디스플레이 시스템이 완성 단계에 도달하면서 무안경 3D 디스플레이에 관한 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 다양한 방법들이 제안되고 있지만 아직까지 무안경식 디스플레이 시스템은 많은 연구가 필요한 상황이다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 무안경 3D 디스플레이 시스템은 기존의 패럴랙스 배리어 중 스텝 배리어에 편광자의 빛을 흡수하는 특성을 적용하여 깊이 역전 현상이 발생하는 영역을 제거하므로 관찰자는 더 매끄럽고 자연스러운 입체 영상을 볼 수 있다.

  • MPEG-I(Immersive) 그룹에서는 몰입형 미디어 영상처리 표준화의 일환으로 마이크로렌즈를 통한 다시점 영상 처리 기술인 Dense Light Field에 대한 성능 탐색을 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-I에서 정의된 라이트 필드 시퀀스에 대해 versatile video codec(VVC)에 대한 압축 성능 분석을 시행하였으며, 또한 렌즈렛(Lenslet) 형태의 특정적인 이미지 정보를 효율적으로 압축하기 위한 스크린 콘텐츠 코딩 툴의 효율 비교를 진행하였다. 또한 렌즈렛 영상에서의 화면 내 블록 카피(intra block copy) 기법이 선택되는 비율을 확인하고, 화면 내 블록 카피 기법을 통해 렌즈렛 영상이 효율적으로 압축될 수 있음을 보였다.

Virtual DressUp system by using image deformation method (이미지 변형 기법을 이용한 가상 드레스업 시스템)

  • This paper introduces a virtual dress up system, according to user's input model and garment image. At first step, we deform the garment image by using skeleton structures and ARAP method. Next step, sampling the boundary points and find their matching vertices which are used for optimizing the boundary fitting. In 2D rendering of the dress up, they have some unrealistic results, so we reconstruct the garment mesh to the 3D mesh. Rendering from the reconstructed 3D mesh, we can get the final dress up result. We present that our system produce a visually plausible and well-fitted virtual dress up results.

  • (사)한국패키지디자인협회(회장 강부연)가 '2022 제31회 대한민국패키지디자인대전'의 수상작을 발표했다. 이 공모전은 국내 유일의 포장디자인 공모전으로 대학생부문과 일반부문으로 나뉘어 독창성, 상품의 외관, 기능, 소재, 경제성 등을 심사하여 선정했다. 이번 공모전은 포장디자인 분야 디자이너들의 많은 관심과 호응으로 대학생부문은 10개 대학 177점, 일반부문은 30개 업체 71점이 우수 포장디자인 제품으로 선정되어 포장 디자인의 중요성을 통해 위상을 다시 한 번 드높였다. 출품작들의 주목할 점으로는 친환경 트렌드를 반영한 다수의 제품들이 출품되었다는 것이다. 특히, 코로나19 장기화로 인한 소비패턴과 생활의 변화에 따른 트렌드를 반영한 포장디자인 제품이 대거 출품되어 이목을 끌었다. 올해 '대상'은 서울우유협동조합 골든저지밀크 제품이 선정되었으며, 이외 은상으로 업사이클링에 포커스를 맞춘, (주)신원인팩/페어플레이파머스 농업회사법인 사과 부산물을 활용한 친환경 사과트레이 [업사이클링 : APPLE CLAM(애플클램), 화이트와 메탈릭 컬러 매치를 통한 고급화 이미지를 극대화시킨 디자인 (주)아워홈 AMORIS Charcutrie 등 우수 포장디자인으로 선정되었다. 본지에서는 공모전 일반부문 본상 수상작들을 통해 패키지디자인의 최신 동향을 살펴보도록 한다.

Real-time 3D Volumetric Model Generation using Multiview RGB-D Camera (다시점 RGB-D 카메라를 이용한 실시간 3차원 체적 모델의 생성)

  • In this paper, we propose a modified optimization algorithm for point cloud matching of multi-view RGB-D cameras. In general, in the computer vision field, it is very important to accurately estimate the position of the camera. The 3D model generation methods proposed in the previous research require a large number of cameras or expensive 3D cameras. Also, the methods of obtaining the external parameters of the camera through the 2D image have a large error. In this paper, we propose a matching technique for generating a 3D point cloud and mesh model that can provide omnidirectional free viewpoint using 8 low-cost RGB-D cameras. We propose a method that uses a depth map-based function optimization method with RGB images and obtains coordinate transformation parameters that can generate a high-quality 3D model without obtaining initial parameters.
