적응제어 설계기법의 연구현황

  • 본 고에서는 적응제어의 설계 기법의 연구 현황에 대해 살펴보았다. 매개변수 추정을 기반으로 적응제어기 설계 기법(Estimation-based Design Technique)은 자기동조제어를 시작으로 적응 최적제어 단계를 거쳐, 현재 다변수 적응예측제어로 발전하였고, 이는 화학공정 등 실제 플랜트에 응용될 가능성이 가장 높은 실용적인 설계기법으로 평가받고 있다. 그러나 비선형 시스템에 대한 적용 연구는 활발하지 못한 형편이다. 한편, 안정도 이론을 기반으로 적응 메카니즘을 설계하는 연구는 선형 시스템에 대한 적응제어 연구로 확장되어 현재 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 앞으로 이에 대한 이론 연구가 한동안 지속될 것으로 전망된다. 그러나 이 방법은 실제 시스템에 적용시 적합한 형태로 불확실성을 모델링해야 하며 그 작업은 그리 용이하지 않을 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 부분적으로 이러한 응용연구에 대한 노력이 경주되어야 할 것이다. 비매개변수 추정방법은 적응제어 이론의 주 설계기법은 아니기 때문에 이론으로의 확장 연구는 그리 활발하지 못한 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 비교적 설계방법과 불확실성 모델링이 간단하여 실제 응용에 가장 용이하게 적용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

Multivariable Control of Cold-Rolling Mills with Roll Eccentricity (롤편심을 포함한 냉간압연 시스템의 다변수 제어)

  • A disturbance rejection controller using eccentricity filtering and LQ control techniques is proposed to alleviate the effecto of major roll eccentricity in multivariable cold-rolling processes. Fundamental problems in multivariable cold-rolling processes such as process time delay inherent in exit thickness measurement and non-stationary characteristics of roll eccentricity signals can be overcome by the proposed control method. The filtered instantaneous estimate of roll eccentricity may be exploited to improve instantaneous estimate of the exit thickness variation based on roll force and roll gap measurements, and a feedforward compensator is augmented as a reference for a gaugemeter thickness estimator. LQ feedback controller is combined with eccentricity filter for the attenuation of the exit thickness variation due to the entry thickness variation. The simulation results show that the roll eccentricity disturbance is significantly eliminated and other disturbances also are attenuated.

  • In the single-input and single-output system, the parameter of plant is scalar polynomial, but in the multiple input and multiple output, it accompanies, being matrix polynomial, the consideration of observable controlability index or problems non-commutation in matrix polynomial as well as degree, and it is more complex to deal with. Therefore, it is thought that a full research on the single-input and single-output system is not sufficient. This paper proposes that problems of minimum variance self-tuning regulator by using numerical calculation example of multivariable system and pole assignment self-tuning regulator.

  • In general, for underwater vehicles in low speed, depthkeeping operations are carried out by using the variation of the weight in the seaway tank. The depthkeeping control of underwater vehicles is difficult because of the deadzone effect in the flow rate control valve. In this paper, the nonlinear multivariable QLQG/LTR control system using a seaway tank and bow planes is synthesized in order to improve the performance of the depth control system. The computer simulation results show the multivariable QLQG/LTR control system has good depth control performance under the deadzone effect.

  • This paper deals with MCMBPC(Multivariable Constrained Model Based Predictive Controller) for nonlinear boiler system with noise and disturbance. MCMBPC is designed by linear state space model obtained from some operating point of nonlinear boiler system and Kalman filter is used to estimate the state with noise and disturbance. The solution of optimization of the cost function constrained on input and/or output variables is achieved using quadratic programming, viz. singular value decomposition (SVD). The controller designed is shown to have excellent tracking performance via simulation applied to nonlinear dynamic drum boiler turbine model for 16OMW unit.

  • This paper presents an algebraic approach for finding a dynamic state feedback controller when the linear multi-input system with delays in both state and input is controllable. In the time-delay case, controllability of the system does not always imply that system is cyclizable. Therefore, reduced order augmentation systems which is cyclizable as the time-varying case are considered. It is possible to construct feedback contorl systems by using single-input methods.

  • This paper is presents multivariable control scheme for industrial robot manipulators. The control scheme consists of two loops. The modeling error between linearized robot model and actual robot model is compensated in error compensation loop. The PID control loop is designed for pole assignment to stability of robot system and utilized for trajectory tracking. Alternatively computer simulation results are given for illustration purpose of suggested controller.

  • A loop-shaping LQ controller is synthesized for tandem cold mills. And a new loop- shaping technique is suggested for LQ controller design. The suggested loop-shaping LQ control system is compared with the standard loop-shaping LQ control system. The simulation results show that the theickness and interstand tension control accuracy of tandem cold mills can be improved by the compensated loop-shaping LQ controller.

  • In the paper an multivariable decoupling self-tuning algorithm is proposed for controller design, by specifying the closed-loop behaviour of the system in the form of a reference model, so that the controller parameters can be estimated on-line as the process development. The effectiveness of this algorithm in controlling multivariable systems is demonstrated by simulation example in spite of the usual implementation problems of self-tuning controllers.
