The purpose of this study is to examine the sequential mediating effects of social withdrawal and depression in the relationship between achievement motivation and career decision of multicultural adolescents. To this end, we analyzed adolescents data from the 8th year survey(2018) of the 'Multicultural Adolescent Panel Study(MAPS)' provided by the National Youth Policy Institute(NYPI). As a result of the study, first, achievement motivation was found to have a significant and positive effect on career decision. Second, it was found that social withdrawal did not mediate the relationship between achievement motivation and career decision. Third, it was found that depression mediates the relationship between achievement motivation and career decision. Fourth, it was found that social withdrawal and depression sequentially mediate the relationship between achievement motivation and career decision. Based on the results of this study, we searched for social support measures to improve the career decision of multicultural adolescents and support their career paths, and suggested implications and limitations of the results of this study and suggestions for follow-up studies.

This study aimed to analyze research trends of 'digital divide' in Library and Information Science. To this end, we coded research subjects with 11 subcategories, and research objectives with 4 subcategories, and research methods with 4 subcategories, and constructed keyword networks to which a pathfinder algorithm was applied. As a result of the analysis, 79.5% of studies are on the disabled, multicultural families, and the elderly among information vulnerable groups, and it was found to be concentrated in specific groups. In addition, digital divide related studies have been actively conducted for the purpose of resolving information vulnerabilities such as people with disabilities. We also found that these studies focused on verifying the effectiveness by designing and applying treatments such as informatization education, information utilization, and reading programs. Lastly, the most frequently used research method in the digital divide was found to use case studies or questionnaires simultaneously with literature research.

The research aims to investigate immigrants', librarians' and multicultural experts' information needs and perception on current multicultural services in Korean libraries, and to suggest the directions for providing multicultural library services. The research collected the data through conducting both in-depth interviews and focus group interviews with immigrants, librarians and multicultural experts. The research found the significant and emergent features on immigrants' and librarians' requests and perception about current library multicultural services. On the analysis of the findings, the research discussed the implications of the policies for library multicultural services and the alternatives to improve library multicultural services and librarians' multicultural competencies.

This study attempts to analyze the structure of collaborative network among multicultural agencies in Busan area. The survey was conducted with such agencies as multicultural family support centers, regional government offices, public libraries, social welfare centers, and other NGO-supported agencies, in order to analyze the structural features of the network. The results of the study indicate that cooperative networks are hardly in action except for the one among agencies which share their function, roles, and characteristics in common, that regional government offices and multicultural family support centers have high density networks with other agencies and performed major roles. Public libraries, however, only collaborate with other libraries, or did not participated in the networks, which indicates that endeavors of public libraries to cooperate with other multicultural agencies is needed.

The purpose of the research is to explore the main cause and effect of successful marriage that Korean husbands, who are multicultural families had. To do the research, the experiment has been done with 7 husbands for 2 months. The 7 husbands took depths interview and analyzed the result by grounded theory approach. As a result, the husband experienced 'repentance of marriage' because of 'unready marriage', but 'Raising children', 'Helping housework' and 'recognition from friends and colleague' have affected the husbands to have a successful marriage adaptation. Based on the result, a political and practical proposal has been proposed to the Korean husbands who are multi-cultural family. Here are the examples of the proposal. As a social welfare policy, 'obligation of information offering for prospective spouse', 'following the Labor Standards and parental leave', 'expansion of visiting supervise system' and 'making guidance for husbands and distribute map of Immigration Office, Multicultural Family Support Center and Community Center' have proposed. And as an alternative plan for a practical social welfare policy and continuous social awareness improvement, 'various education program', 'a program with domestic married couple', 'a program with parents-in-law', 'a specific program to increase the housework participation for husbands' and necessity of development and practice of group program for husband have been emphasized.

This study examines current practices of the multicultural services in public library and offers directions for improvement in the multicultural society. For this, this study is set up the list of the multicultural services on the basis of the plans and the announcements about multicultural services of an international organization. Moreover, researchers analysed the multicultural services of Incheon Jungang Library. The results of this study are as follows. They proposed the improvement of the multicultural services of a public library as the changes of cognition of the multicultural services, training for professional manpower, program for intercultural understanding, accessibility to information, etc.

This study analyzed 138 multicultural programs from 40 libraries during the last two years. The study compares multicultural programs running in Korean libraries with those from American and Canadian libraries which have a long history of multicultural societies. The results are listed below. There is a need for long-running multicultural programs that address the needs of its users even from the planning stages. Programs should include out-reach based running methods, daily life based subjects and contents, and differentiated approaches for different levels and ages of users.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influences of parental neglect, national identity, and self-resiliency of multicultural adolescents on school adaptation. Methods: Participants are multicultural adolescents in the 4th year (2014) of the multicultural adolescents panel survey. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis using SPSS 22.0 program. Results: Self-resiliency was the most influential factor on school adaptation of multicultural adolescents, followed by parental neglect, and national identity, mother's Korean reading ability, multicultural adolescents' speaking ability, city size, mother's education, and mother's speaking ability. Conclusion: Multicultural families who had an experience of parental neglect should be selected and those parents need to be educated about the appropriate parenting method to improve the school adaptation of multicultural adolescents. In addition, the school adaptation improvement program should be developed and provided to strengthen the national identity and self-resiliency of multicultural adolescents.

Multi-Cultural Family Support Act means that to lead a stable family life in Korea by improves the quality of life for members of multi-cultural families through the extensive support and ultimately it refers to a law designed to contribute to the integration between society and them. This Law was newly enacted as Law No. 8937 in March 21, 2008. And through the six times amendments it improve the part of the lack also now in February 18, 2015, some amendments are submitted by Jasmine Lee with 12 lawmakers. Now in 2015, the number of foreigners who living in Korea are beyond 150 million and it can see that has entered into a full-fledged multi-cultural society. And it can place a greater significance that had laid the foundation of the various support policies to lead a stable family life for members of multi-cultural families. However, the problem that much current law which associated with the Multi-cultural Family Support Act cannot accept the social changes has emerged. Thus, in this paper try to present a legislative plan that can respond appropriately to the real world through the analysis of it.

This study aims to analyze multiculturalism policy of Canada, where is praised for not only systematic multiculturalism policy but also one of the leading countries for successful managing of it, and is to explore the implications for Korea through analysis. The meaning, history, policy changes of multiculturalism of Canada, and the ways to maintain and generate for this by reviewing relating literature to achieve this goal. This study particularly focuses on the civic multiculturalism policy, which established not only the systematic foundation but also a social consensus regarding multiculturalism policy changes. Moreover, finally some suggestions of development strategies for Korea were provided. Developing and conducting of various programs for understanding and recognizing cultural and ethnic diversity, establishing a powerful law regulation and applying the rules rigorously, supporting for network formation of immigrants based on community organizations, providing information made by various languages, and developing and using a tool such as a racial impact analyzes were suggested.
