Dynamic nature of the A/E/C industry, rapidly changing global market environment, and lowest cost competitive bidding make it difficult to survive in global engineering markets. To understand of the global design&engineering market, a case study has been undertaken. The top 150 global design forms represented in the ENR(Engineering News Record) from 1995 to 2003 are classified three groups for the case study, First group is the firms that its rank is getting raised from 1995. Second group is the firms keep holding its rank from 1994 until 2003. Third group is the firms that its rank has gone down from 1995 until 2003. However, finding key factors and changing business strategies of successful top design fm are the fundamental goals in this paper, After examined case study, this paper concludes and suggests that professionalization, M&A strategies, patrons of government, and academic supporting are needed to be succeeding in the global design & engineering industry.

The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of debate and discussion instruction in mathematics class on mathematics study achievements and attitudes in elementary school. To conduct the research, two classes were verified as the homogeneous groups by a preliminary examination on the fourth grade of J elementary school. After mathematics class, the subjects were conducted the same mathematics study achievement and attitude tests in two groups and were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, t-test. Accordingly, debate and discussion instruction in mathematics class is more effective than regular lecture method instruction. debate and discussion instruction in mathematics classes are believed students will participate in the question and understand the mathematical principles and concepts themselves through action to solve the problem and influenced I have a positive attitude towards mathematics.

From the perspective of commercializing rotating machines equipped with magnetic bearings, maintaining the error between the mechanical center and the magnetic center within an acceptable level is crucial. The existing method of measuring the center error is to adjust the position references that minimize the current imbalance present in levitation control outputs. However, this method can be applied only after all the components of the system are operational. In this paper, we present a new method of estimating the center error by using only the position sensors and a current source. A force model that relates the position of the rotor with the coil currents is set up. Using this model, the center error is estimated by minimizing the difference between the force angles and the contact angles measured in a pull test. The feasibility of the method is numerically and experimentally validated.

In this paper, We have studied the structure of a Telemetry Transmitter capable of transmitting variable data rates. This paper proposed a structure combining variable pre-modulation filter with cutoff characteristic with variable input sample rate converter. Variable pre-modulation filter has the same characteristics as pre-modulation filter and is converted to a constant sampling rate without structural changes according to the variable input data rate. We propose a software program that actively controls variable pre-modulation filter and variable input sample rate converter to respond to real-time changing data.

Recently demands in construction of the stand-alone networks and interconnection between convergence devices have led an increase in research on IETF MANET working group, Bluetooth, and HomeRF working group and much attention has been paid to the application of MANET as a Ubiquitous network which is growing fast. With performance both as hosts and routers, easy network configuration, and fast response, mobile nodes participating in MANET are suitable for Embedded computing, but have vulnerable points, such as lack of network scalability and dynamic network topology due to mobility, passive attacks, active attacks, which make continuous security service impossible. For perfect MANET setting, routing is required which can guarantee security and efficiency through secure routing. In routing in this study, hashed AODV is used to protect from counterfeiting messages by malicious nodes in the course of path 'finding and setting, and disguising misrouted messages as different mobile nodes and inputting them into the network.

View of the recent expansion of ASEAN, Korea must take some measure to cope with them. This paper is aim for suggesting on commercial cooperation between Korea and ASEAN through transition of ASEAN. Generally speaking Southeast Asia can be divided into mainland Southeast Asia and maritime Southeast Asia. ASEAN is association Southeast Asian nations. Korea has been a dialogue partner of ASEAN since 1991, and through the ASEAN plus three try to come true East Asian cooperation. but the level of public awareness of Korea in ASEAN remains very low to compare with China and Japan. Korea and ASEAN have not become the closest of friends in East Asian even though the two are good commercial partners. Korean ODA for ASEAN must be linked with Korean firm's trade and investment for ASEAN to show synergy effect. Korea should analyze ASEAN's plan for ASEAN Economic Community and find potential development needs of ASEAN. Korea and ASEAN want to become ASIA's FTA Hub. such as great vision can come true if Korea cooperate sincerely with ASEAN.

This study analyze whether the organizational learning culture affects the firm's dynamic capacity and whether the dynamic capacity mediates the relationship between organizational learning culture and management performance. Respectively. First, "The more organizational structure is organic, the higher the integrated relocation capacity and learning capacity. Organizations with organic organizational structures were found to have the ability to successfully adapt to external changes because there is a practice that is not tied to formal processing or procedures. Second, it can be seen that there is a positive (+) influence on the relocation capacity among the dynamic competence of the learning culture of the corporate organization. Third, both sub-factors of dynamic competence have positive (+) influence on business performance. Also, there was no mediating effect of dynamic competence related to learning culture.

The main objective of this study is to explore the forward-looking role of a National Hangeul Museum Library that can actively respond to changes in the era and to propose development strategies for this purpose. To achieve this, the current functions, resources, materials, online and offline services, and the library's website were thoroughly analyzed. We conducted research on the operational status and best practices of libraries within museums, art galleries, and advanced libraries both domestically and internationally. Ultimately, we aimed to establish medium to long-term development strategies for the Korean library and derive step-by-step detailed implementation plans. The results of this study can serve as foundational data to help the National Hangeul Museum Library effectively fulfill its central role as a library related to the Korean language and culture.

Recent outbreak of cattle diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease(FMD) requires constant monitoring of burial sites of mass cull of cattles. However, current monitoring system takes environmental samples from burial sites with period of between one and two weeks, which makes it impossible for non-stop management of hazardous bio-waste. Therefore, in this study, we suggest an improved real-time environmental monitoring system for such bio-hazardous sites based on wireless sensor networks, which makes constant surveillance of the FMD burial sites possible. The system consists mainly several wireless environmental monitoring sensors(i.e dust, Co2, VOC, NH3, H2S, temperature, humidity) nodes and GPS location tracking nodes. Through analysis of the relayed of the environmental monitoring data via gateway, the system makes it possible for constant monitoring and quick response for emergency situation of the burial sites. In order to test the effectiveness of the system, we have installed a set of sensor to gas outlets of the burial sites, then collected and analyzed measured bio-sensing data. We have conducted simulated emergency test runs and was able to detect and monitor the foul smell constantly. With our study, we confirm that the preventive measures and quick response of bio environmental accident are possible with the help of a real-time environmental monitoring system.

Philosophical and social backgrounds and inquiring into new direction of Practical Arts and Home Economics Education is done through this paper. The overall review of the related documents, records, books has been done, and research findings are presented as follows; Thought(Educational theory and Philosophy) for Korean Practical Arts Education is based on Learning to Labor, Practical Science and Pragmatism. Korean curriculum for Home Economics were originated in Confucianism background, which stressed the importance of different gender roles for men and women. However, Korean Home Economics based on Home Economics Subject Matter has been developed without philosophical base unlike that of American Pragmatism and Critical Theory. Therefore, scientific recognition in a section of value recognition was separated and developed so far. Thus, we could not answer to social missions about keeping values of life corresponding with changing environment I also observed the analysis of revision curriculum of the mentioned subject, and the changes of concepts of Work and Prasix, necessity of Home Economics Education for fixing about a basic life education and a basic life skill, and reinforcement of the function in Home. And then, new directions is proposed that the role of Home Economics Education in school be reinforced for the upcoming low birth rate and the aging society(high proportion of the aged people). Because Characters on correct values of children and youths might be nurtured in home foremost.
