Robust Gaze-Fixing of an Active Vision System under Variation of System Parameters (시스템 파라미터의 변동 하에서도 강건한 능동적인 비전의 시선 고정)

  • To steer a camera is done based on system parameters of the vision system. However, the system parameters when they are used might be different from those when they were measured. As one method to compensate for this problem, this research proposes a gaze-steering method based on LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) that is robust to variations in the system parameters of the vision system. Simulation results show that the proposed method produces less gaze-tracking error than a contemporary linear method and more stable gaze-tracking error than a contemporary nonlinear method. Moreover, the proposed method is fast enough for realtime processing.

  • 전세계 국가는 21세기 메가 트렌드인 기술 융합(Technology Convergence) 추세에 발 맞춰 미래비전 및 전략수립에 몰두하고 있다. 그리고, 공통적으로 정보통신(IT)기술 및 서비스를 기반으로 한 자국의 국부 증대와 신산업 창출을 시나리오 기법을 활용하여 이야기 하고 있다. 하지만 국내의 경우 비전연구 및 전략수립에 대한 연구가 초보단계로 기존의 IT 단독 기술에 의한 연구개발 방법을 그대로 활용할 경우, 기술 융합 메가 트렌드 연구개발에 능동적으로 대처하기에는 미흡하다는 지적이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 시나리오 기법을 활용한 비전연구 사례를 분석하고, 향후 시나리오 비전연구 방향을 제시한다.

  • A typical theme of active vision systems is gaze-fixing of a camera. Here gaze-fixing of a camera means by steering orientation of a camera so that a given point on the object is always at the center of the image. For this we need to combine a function to analyze image data and a function to control orientation of a camera. This paper presents an algorithm for gaze-fixing of a camera where image analysis and orientation control are designed in a frame. At this time, for avoiding difficulties in implementing and aiming for real-time applications we design the algorithm to be a simple closed-form without using my information related to calibration of the camera or structure estimation.

  • Lane departure avoidance system is one of the key technologies for the future active-safety passenger cars. The lane departure avoidance system is composed of two subsystems; lane sensing algorithm and active-steering controller. In this paper, the road image is obtained by vision sensor and the lane parameters are estimated using image processing and Kalman Filter technique. The active-steering controller is designed to prevent the lane departure. The developed active-steering controller can be realized by steer-by-wire actuator. The lane-sensing algorithm and active-steering controller are implemented into the steering HILS(Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation) and their performance is evaluated with a human driver in the loop.

Music Therapy Students' Experience as a Supervisee in Peer Supervision (음악치료 전공생의 동료 수퍼비전에서 수퍼바이지로서의 경험)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze music therapy students' experience of peer supervision as supervisee. A total of 17 participants in a university in Seoul, participated two times in structured dyadic peer supervision with a different student. In-depth, semi-structured interviews with the students were conducted and content analysis was used for analyzing the data. The results showed that peer supervision was recognized as an important technique as students experienced an accepting and supportive emotional climate that increased their motivation in terms of their professional growth. However, the students also experienced anxiety and dissatisfaction when they could not get a definitive answer from their peer or their peer could not solve their problem. The structure of peer supervision could help the participants by facilitating the process, providing directions, and promoting interaction between peer. This study is significant that it provides actual content in music therapy students' experiences as a supervisee, and enables students to apply peer supervision to their professional growth.

  • A stereo vision analysis was performed for motion and depth control of unmanned vehicles. In stereo vision, the depth information in three-dimensional coordinates can be obtained by triangulation after identifying points between the stereo image. However, there are always triangulation errors due to several reasons. Such errors in the vision triangulation can be alleviated by careful arrangement of the camera position and orientation. In this paper, an approach to the determination of the optimal position and orientation of camera is presented for unmanned vehicles.

  • 2005년에는 ''세계 수준의 IT표준화 기구와 어깨를 나란히''라는 TTA비전과 ''Time-to Market Standard''란 세부 목표 하에, 보다 능동적이고 시장을 선도할 수 있는 표준화에 주력할 계획이다. 이를 위해 핵심 기술에 대한 표준화 활동을 강화하고, IT전략포럼에서 개발된 표준(안)이 적기에 제안되어 TTA표준으로 채택될 수 있도록 표준화위원회와 포럼간 상호협력 및 유대관계를 보다 강화해 나갈 계획이다.

  • 현재까지의 자율 주행 로봇에 대한 연구는 완전히 지능화된 로봇으로 작업을 수행하는 연구가 대부분이었다. 자율 주행 로봇이 완전한 지능을 지니기 위해서는 고비용, 고성능의 센서가 필요하다. 본 논문은 지능화 공간의 개념을 사용하여 네트워크 기반의 자율 주행 로봇을 구동하기 위한 능동적인 시스템 구조를 제안하며 고성능의 센서가 없어도 효과적인 주행을 함을 보인다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템 구조에서 네트워크상의 여러 가지 자원들(로봇, 비전 시스템, 디스플레이시스템)은 서비스가 되어 서로의 기능을 능동적으로 사용할 수 있다. 네트워크상에서 각 서비스를 공유하기 위하여 JAVA기반의 프로토콜 Jini를 사용하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 자율 주행 로봇은 주변 환경 및 주어진 작업에 따라 기능적으로 모듈화된 서비스를 환경상의 여러 자원들과 공유하여 운용된다.

  • Currently, advanced countries are absorbed in vision research related to 'Technology Convergence', which is a 21 century Megatrend. They establish Technology Convergence strategy based on information and communication technology (ICT), and vision research that utilizes the scenario method is actively progressing. In this paper, scenario-based vision research case study using WWRF (Wireless World Research Forum), AmI (Ambient Intelligence), and mITF (mobile IT Forum) is conducted. The proposed 'engineering scenario method' is based on the case study results. Therefore, a future strategy study using the proposed scenario-based method is analyzed. The 'engineering scenario method' can provide a new direction in vision strategy research.

  • Active contour model or snake is widely used for segmentation method in the area of the image processing and computer vision. The main problem in the active contour model is that results are very dependent to the closet points of the numbers and the location in initial step. Especially, in case of balloon-like active contour model, the small region which consist of intial closet points are expanded until the edge is reached. It is a serious problem because the considered region are huge with limited points. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose the method that the number of closet points could be change based on the distance between points.
