In this paper, we implement the multimedia remote control system by using existing internet service or wired online. We also provide user-friendly convenient environment with developed application program named EzPlay and PC-EPG. The multimedia remote control system consists of integrated wireless transceiver of PC and TV connected USB type and the users can easily use lots of contents because EzPlay program provides appropriate UI mode on the PC and TV screen. The unposed system can operate real-time playing, reserved video receding and data storing function using internet mesh based on signal detecting control theory. The PC-EPG system is implemented by server/client web program and the client program based on visual C++/MFC processes data storing in client computer through TCP/IP. It also provides intelligent function that constructs database according to user's preference.

Currently being broadcast in the field to compress HD video in real time, as well as live Internet VOD services are available through the online system, the Internet LIVE broadcast and VOD service easy to operate and UCC services that support the solution. VOD video cameras and in real time using H264 CORECODEC to compress MPEC4, WMV, and real-time video streaming on the Internet, and phone system that supports the first, real-time recording of camera images featured nation's first real-time encoder system (Real time encoder system) is, Web and smart environment suitable for supporting the latest CORECODEC technology and software products. Second, the video can be played in MP4 player and customize your chat, and customizing is a possible two-way Internet Broadcasting System. Third, CMS (Contents Management System) feature video contents and course management contents in real time via the Android phone and iPhone streaming service is available.

본 논문에서는 국내에서 DTV 전환에 대비한 기술적 보호조치 방안 마련을 위하여 기술적 보호조치의 방법들에 대하여 간략히 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 유통활성화를 도모하기 위한 기술적 보호조치 방법을 제안하였다. 디지털 방송프로그램을 보호하기 위한 기술적 보호조치는 인터넷을 통한 불법유통을 방지하여 저작권자의 이익을 도모하려는 목적이나, 이로 인하여 방송프로그램 유통의 지나친 억제는 저작권자의 권익보호를 위하여 바람직하지 않다. 따라서 사용자가 보다 편리하고 저렴한 비용으로 방송프로그램을 재시청 및 재활용할 수 있도록 방송프로그램의 기술적 보호조치를 마련하는 것이 저작권자의 권익을 극대화 할 수 있다. 이러한 방법의 하나로 방송프로그램에 콘텐츠 보호선호 및 콘텐츠의 이용을 위한 연결정보를 포함하여 송출하고 방송수선단말에서 사적이용범위 내에서는 방송프로그램을 자유롭게 녹화 및 복사하여 시청할 수 있지만, 사적이용범위 밖으로 복사/전송 시에는 콘텐츠 연결정보만을 복사하고, 이를 재생할 때는 콘텐츠 연결정보를 이용하여 방송프로그램 유통서버로 연결하며, 유통서버와의 통신을 통하여 저렴하고 편리하게 방송프로그램을 사용할 수 있는 기술적 보호조치의 한 방법을 제안하였다.

Recently, the need for multimedia devices, such as digital TV, and camcorder has increased. These devices provide many services on multimedia files such as playing, recording, and editing. Throughout these services, in case of storing edited large-scaled multimedia files, existing file system have several capability problems that are taking too much time and requiring disk I/O. In this paper, we propose the use of Linux Ext2 file system based 'Block-Link file (BL-file) system' in order to solve these problems. For the BL-file system, when editing and storing large-scaled files, there is no data input or output but only modification of the metadata. Additionally, by sharing data blocks between multimedia files, we can save disk spaces. Moreover, because the managing of data block sharing information is more convenient than the existing FWAE technique, we can lessen system overhead. The BL-file system is based on Ext2 file system and implemented in a Linux environment, and the usefulness of the proposed technique is validated by applying the Linux multimedia file-editing tool 'Avidemux'.

An experimental study was carried out to investigate the applicability of cement-based materials for green soil which is a soil for promoting plant growth. The results show that the shear strength of the green soil mixed with gypsum cement (No.3) was low, but the hardness (23.6mm) and pH value (7.4) was most suitable for the vegetation environment. In addition, the initial vegetation germination of green soil, which improved performance by adding a moisturizer, was slower than that of general green soil, and the conductivity value tended to be slightly higher. On the other hand, the slope adhesion of advanced green soil was high, and it was found that the plant growth rate and the regeneration capacity were superior after time passed.

Human emotion is the issue which is subjective, difficult to define and even more difficult to measure because it's personal. In general, the methods for measuring human emotion is divided in two, one is the psychological way based on user's subjective evaluation and another is the physiological way based on physiological signs. However, these methods have some limitations. Therefore, in this study we suggested the methods for measuring users emotion in the natural and accessible environment for the design field. In order to observe user's emotional changes while they interact with a product, we have extracted some emotional words and representative emotions, and made a set of subjective evaluation scales. With these scales, emotion logging program 'VideoTAME' was developed as an effective measurement tool for complementing the current psychological methods. In the testing module of 'VdeoTAME,' participants evaluate their emotional changes through playing and watching the video dips of their performing tasks in the experiment room. In the analyzing module, the researchers replay the results created by participants during the experiment and analyze the results using Microsoft Exel. It is hoped that this study will be of great help for designers for effective measurement of user's emotions naturally expressed while using a product.

In this study, emotional word logging software,'VideoTAME' was developed as an effective measurement tool for complementing the current psychological measuring methods. With the software, we measured the user's emotional changes while they interact with a product. The main goal of this study is to reveal the influence of usability on human emotions by analyzing the user's emotional changes while using a product. In this research, we asked 30 subjects to examine their emotional changes with watching the video clip recorded when they performed a series of tasks with a cellular phone in the experiment room. The results of this research indicated that negative emotion such as 'Uncomfortalbeness' was elicited mostly while they performed tasks which were difficult due to usability problems. On the other hand, positive emotion such as 'Satisfaction in Usability' was elicited for tasks which were easy to perform because of good usability. The reason for the user's emotional changes while they interact with a product can be assumed that the emotional changes were caused by specific situations they face when performing a task rather than the characteristics of task itself. We expect to clarify how usability of a product impact user's emotions in depth with more data collected and analyzed with the help of 'VideTAME'.

만약 사용자가 원하는 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 원하는 시간에 TV를 통해서 볼 수 있게 된다면, 다시 말해서 보고 싶을 때, 보고 싶은 방송을 포함한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 원하는 시간에 바로 볼 수 있게 된다면 사용자는 방송시간에 맞추어 TV를 보지 않아도 되고 원하는 콘텐츠를 검색하느라 시간을 보낼 필요도 없어질 것이다. 예약 녹화의 경우에는 시간정보를 가지고 미리 예약을 해야 하는 경우이므로 이와는 다른 경우라 하겠다. 이러한 서비스는 바로 디지털 콘텐츠와 이를 가정에서 저장할 수 있는 장치의 발달이 바탕이 되고 있다.(표 1 생략, 원문이미지 참조) 표 1은 영국의 BBC사에서 1998년에 조사한 자료로 디지털 멀티미디어 데이터를 저장하고 재생할 수 있는 저장장치의 가격과 용량의 전망을 나타낸다. 여기에서 데이터는 5.5 Mbps급의 MPEG-2 스트림을 기준으로 하였다. 표 1에서 보수적 견해는 매 18개월마다, 현실적 견해는 매 10개월마다 동일 가격의 용량이 2배가 되는 것으로 계산한 것이다. 여기서 보듯 저장장치의 가격 대비 성능이 갈수록 나아지고 있어 가정에서 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 저장할 수 있는 가정용 서버의 등장이 멀지 않았음을 보여준다. 1999년 가을에 활동을 접은 DAVIC의 마지막 활동이 바로 이러한 저장장치를 이용한 "TV Anytime Service"였다 . Anytime Ser vice란 저장장치를 통해 사용자가 원하는 콘텐츠를 저장해 놓았다가 사용자가 원하는 시간에 언제나 볼 수 있다는 개념이다. 이를 소비자관점에서 보면 Personalized service라고 할 수 있다. 이어 1999년 여름에 창설이 된 "TV Anytime Forum"이라는 단체에서 이러한 저장장치를 이용한 서비스를 위한 환경을 구축하고 있다. TV Anytime Forum은 가정에서 저장장치가 있는 단말인 PDR(Personal Digital Recorder)을 이용한 서비스, 즉 Anytime Service 위한 응용을 가능하게 하기위한 콘텐트 개발자에서부터 가전기기에 이르는 분야에서 Interoperable한 규격을 만들어 보자는 것이 그 목적이다. 특히 여러가지 디지털미디어 전달방식, 예를 들어 DVB, ATSC, ARIB 등에 독립적인 규격을 만드는 것을 원칙으로 하고 있다. 1999년 7월에 첫 번째 회의를 하면서 설립이 되었다. 2001년 말 기준으로 BBC, NHK, Microsoft, Sony, IBM, Phillips, NTT, Intel, Canal+, Tivo, 대우전자, 삼성전자, LG전자, KETI, ETRI 등 콘텐츠 사업자, 방송업자, 네트웍 사업자, 가전업체, 소프트웨어 개발회상에 이르기까지 총 157개 회원사로 구성되어 있으며 년 6회 회의를 개최한다. 2000년 11월에는 서울에서 회의를 개최하였으며 2003년 6월에 다시 한국에서 개최하기로 확정되어 있다. 본 글에서는 이러한 Anytime Service 환경이 구축되었을 때의 각 산업별로 얻을 수 있는 이득에 대해서 알아보고 TV Anytime Forum의 각 Working Group들의 작업 내용들, 그리고 지난 1월에 열렸던 15차 회의의 결과들에 대해서 살펴보고 국내의 TV Anytime 활동에 대해서 간단하게 소개하고 마치도록 하겠다. 현재 디지털 방송기술, 비디오 스트리밍 기술이나 MPEG 등과 같은 기술수준으로도 충분히 이러한 서비스를 시작할 수 있으며 소비자들도 이러한 욕구를 서서히 느끼고 있다. 정보와 서비스를 선택할 수 있게 만들자는 목표를 설정하고 있다. 이러 목표는 통신$.$컴퓨터$.$멀티미디어 기술발전으로 가능하게 되었다.

A meeting for Japan Society of Erosion Control Engineering took place, from May 20-21 in Sapporo, Japan, with the presentations of 21 special topics and 185 general papers. Special topics consists of 6 copies on volcanic disaster prevention, 6 copies on the activity report of Earthquake Erosion Control Engineering Society, 5 copies on the management and guidelines of riparian zone and 4 copies on debris disaster occurred in 1997. General papers consists of 10 copies on slope stability, 10 copies on slope failure, 9 copies on earthquake, 41 copies on environmental erosion control, 25 copies on debris flow, 11 copies on warning and refuge, 10 copies on erosion control plan, 11 copies on erosion control project, 10 copies on erosion control facility, 12 copies on volcanic erosion control, 4 copies on revegetation technology, 4 copies on forest hydrology, 4 copies on avalanche, 4 copies on landslide, 18 copies on debris flow and 2 other copies presented by international student. Among the special topics, 5 papers with the titles of the function and structure of riparian zone, the interactive relation of flood and riparian zone, the management method of channel and river forest for controlling debris flow, the forest restoration efforts by native population, the law and social issue for building river riparian zone were presented in the subsection of "The Management and Guidelines of Riparian Zone". Thus, this article summarize and introduce the presented contents which are very important and can be referred to keep environmentally sound-river in the erosion control field.
