This study was conducted to understand the effects on the attitude toward the elderly, willingness to geriatric nursing practice, and global competencies by developing a geriatric-nursing convergence education program. This program that combines the theory of elderly care and practical education and applies it to nursing students. This is a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The study participants consisted of 19 in a control group and 17 in an experimental group. They were the second-year of the nursing students in A city, Chungcheongnam-do. This program, including character building, elderly care competence, global competence, and community contribution, was held for 80 hours from August 28, 2017 to December 8, 2017. The experimental group compared to the control group, attitude toward the elderly (Z =-.46, p =.66), willingness to geriatric nursing practice (Z =-.64, p =.53), global competence (Z =-1.08, p =.29) showed no statistically significant difference. As a result of this study, it is suggested to develop and implement a convergence education program that nursing students can form positive attitudes toward the elderly and interact directly with the elderly.

This study was performed to develop educational materials in the form of card news that can be easily accessed on mobile phones or the Internet for milk intake education of the elderly based on the scientific evidence and their needs. The themes included in the card news were selected based on the literature and focus group interviews with 10 elderly individuals (78.10±6.66 years old). For the selected themes, information that elderly users most want to know was selected for the purpose of effective communication, while reflecting the eating habits, lifestyle, living environment, and nutrition and health status of the elderly in Korea. The draft of the card news was reviewed by the researcher, consulted by experts, and surveyed with 50 elderly individuals (70.44±5.16 years old). Based on the results of the review, consultations, and the survey, a final draft of the card news consisting of 12 pages was completed. The card news of the present study is expected to be an effective educational material considering the high level of satisfaction (higher than 4 on the 5-point scales) indicated by the survey respondents. Therefore this card news is expected to help increase milk intake through friendly milk education for the elderly.

This study intended to find out the participants' learning process in senior counselling program for life care and the meanings of senior's social support and participation in society. The study method was conducted with this researcher through a narrative' interview during 15-week learning course of senior counselling program in the life-long learning institute at A university. As the results, it could found that senior trainees were able to enhance their intellectual level through the senior counselling program to enhance their self-esteems and improve their memory through the education. Also, through the license of senior counsellor, they became more sophisticated and developed the abilities of comprehension and empathy about the senior in experiencing the intergenerational interactions in the space of social interactions, and the enjoyment of learning changed the senior's behaviors and increased their life quality. This research identified that a learning process enabled to continue the senior's social support and participation in society and made the senior achieve various interactions and practical learning through the exchange of trainees' various cultures. Based on these results, it is expected that various, systematic educational programs will be able to improve the senior's life care in future.

Currently in Germany, there is talk of 'state of emergency care', which is addressed to the problems of quality assurance in aged care and shortage of aged care workers. In order to solve this problem in the aging German society, the federal government has set itself the goal of providing high qualified care givers through a systematic and on a high level of professional training opportunities. Various projects and measures have been carried out to improve the reputation of the primarily care profession in society and for the purpose of attracting especially young trainees for the aged care professions. The present work considers training and qualifications in the long-term care sector in Germany; it points out both the characteristics of aged care education and the learning content in the aged care education and attempts to highlight what roles and perception of tasks contained therein.

심혈관계질환은 노인층에서 유병율이 높고 주요한 사망 원인으로, 균형된 식생활 등 생활습관의 변화를 통해 미리 예방하고 관리함이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 심혈관계 질환 관리를 주제로, 노인과 50세 이상 중년층을 위한 영양교육 프로그램과 교육 자료를 개발하고 영양교육을 실시하였다. 우선 lesson plan을 작성하고 이에 따라 영양교육 자료(소책자, 리플렛)의 내용을 구성하였으며, 수차례의 수정, 보완을 거쳐 교육 자료의 초안을 마련하였다.(중략)

Korea has recently entered a rapidly aging society. The problem of the elderly due to the aging society appears in various fields. Problems caused by cognitive deterioration as well as problems caused by physical weakness also cause many problems. Cognitive deterioration causes difficulties in the daily life of the elderly, which negatively affects the quality of life of the elderly. The purpose of this study is to conduct a user analysis for the development of financial education systems which can facilitate daily life activities of cognitively deprived elderly. Through this study, we develop representative elderly cases in which cognitive decline can occur and lay the foundations for the development of financial education contents based on them.

This study was conducted to identify the oral health status and management behavior and dental use behavior according to the level of education and income of the elderly, and to present the supporting data to prepare policies and systems for the promotion of elderly oral health. The data survey was conducted on 224 elderly people living in the Daejeon area from August 19, 2019 to October 25, 2019, and the collected data were analyzed by chi-square test and logistic regression analysis. As a result, oral health status and management behavior showed significant differences according to education and income level in denture use, implant use, oral hygiene product use, oral health education experience, and oral health management method. There was a significant difference in dental use behavior according to education and income level, and age, education level, implant use, and the main reasons for dental use were found to be factors affecting dental use. Therefore, it is expected that the quality of life of the elderly's oral health can be improved by preparing an institutional plan at the national that considers education and income level based on this study.

This study was to examine the effect of the hypertension self-management education program on hypertension specific self-efficacy in the aged. This study was conducted with one group pre-test and post-test design. A total 31 the aged participated in 4 weeks of intervention. Data were analyzed as SPSS ver. 21.0 using descriptive statistics and paired t-test. We have identified that hypertension specific self-efficacy(t= -3.46, p< 0.000^***) and disease awareness(t= -5.69, p<0.000^***) significantly increased. We found that 4-weeks is appropriate for hypertension self-management education program. We suggested that for over 80's, customized program should be provided.

본 연구에서는 비전공자들을 위한 디지털 교육을 위하여 노 코드 프로그램을 활용한 정보, 수학, 과학 융합교육 교양 강좌를 개발하였다. 노 코드 프로그램으로는 오렌지3 데이터 마이닝을 선정하였는데, 이는 데이터 분석, 시각화, 머신러닝 모델의 활용이 용이하다는 강점을 가지고 있다. 또한, 산업환경 변화에 대비하는 핵심 교과인 과학, 수학, 정보의 중요성과 데이터 분석과의 밀접성을 고려하여 교육 내용을 융합할 수 있도록 선정하였다. 개발된 교육 프로그램은 8인이 전문가 검토 결과 내용 타당도가 확보되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 추후 연구에서는 이 강좌를 대학의 학부생에게 적용하여 그 효과성을 확인해 보고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among the elderly's motivation to participate in lifelong education, educational satisfaction and life satisfaction. Three types of participation motivation(goal-orientation, activity-orientation and learning orientation) and four components of educational satisfaction(educational content, educational environment, instructor quality and educational result) were examined in this study. The sample of this study was composed of 307 elderly people attending in 6 community colleges for the aged located in Seoul metropolitan area. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed employing multiple regression analysis as a main data analysis method. This study found that participation motivation in lifelong education had a positive effect on educational satisfaction and that educational satisfaction had a positive effect on quality of life. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings were discussed and the directions for future research were suggested.
