Performance Evaluation according to MAP Inter-arrival Time for DOCSIS 3.0 based HFC network (DOCSIS 3.0 프로토콜에서 MAP 주기에 따른 성능평가)

  • DOCSIS 3.0 MAC protocol regulate CM and CMTS Channel transfer times through MAP message. Standards does not include the details of MAP Inter-arrival Time affecting the performance of MAC protocols for DOCSIS 3.0. In this paper, we evaluationed the performance of protocol follow in MAP Inter-arrival Time on DOCSIS 3.0. Based on the evaluation results, we propose the optimal MAP Inter-arrival Time. We found that the protocol shows best performance when the MAP Inter-arrival Time is 0.05sec. The research results can apply to performance element which important for the construction of DOCSIS 3.0 base cable networks.

  • DOCSIS 3.0 Protocol is proposed to make the advance of HFC network. In the DOCSIS based network, the upstream frame is divided into contention section reservation section. CMs to have packets send request messages through the contention section. That two or more CMs sends Request message at the same contention slot makes collison. In this paper, are propose the contention section establlish at algorithm considering of channel-bonding mechanism that is the primary technique of DOCSIS 3.0. Results of simulation display better performance int the number of contention slots and the utilization of contention section.

  • With the spread of mobile devices and advances in communication techknowledges, the needs of application which uses the movement patterns of moving objects in history trajectory data of moving objects gets Increasing. Especially, to design public transportation route or road network of the new city, we can use the similar patterns in the trajectories of moving objects that move on the spatial network such as road and railway. In this paper, we propose a spatio-temporal similar trajectory search algorithm for moving objects on road network. For this, we define a spatio-temporal similarity measure based on the real road network distance and propose a grid-based index structure for similar trajectory search. Finally, we analyze the performance of the proposed similar trajectory search algorithm in order to show its efficiency.

  • Early cost estimation promote efficient budget plan by comparing alternatives and presenting cost information However it is hard to predict accurate cost because of vague cost standard and lack of available information in the early stage. The precious cost model has limitations in the accuracy because they are simple linear model which uses the unit cost per kilometer. This study presents the framework of early cost estimation for road construction projects to overcome the limitation of previous cost model. This study analyzed domestic and foreign cost model and cost data of previous road construction project to present method of cost model framework.

희박한 고객 활동 데이터에서 최신성 기반 추천 성능 향상 연구

  • 최근 AI를 산업 서비스에 적용하기 위해 많은 회사들이 활발히 연구를 하고 있다. 아마존과 넷플릭스 같은 거대 기업들은 이미 빅데이터와 AI 머신러닝을 이용한 추천 시스템을 구현하였고 아마존은 매출의 35%가 추천에 의해 발생하고 넷플릭스 75%의 사용자가 추천을 통해 영화를 선택한다고 보고되었다. 이러한 두 기업의 높은 추천 효율성의 이유는 협업 필터링(Collaborative filtering)과 같은 다양한 추천 알고리즘과 방대한 상품 및 고객 행동(구매, 시청 등) 데이터 등이 존재하고 있기 때문이다. 기계학습에서 알고리즘 학습을 위한 데이터의 양이 많지 않을 경우 알고리즘의 성능을 보장할 수 없다는 것이 일반적인 의견이다. 방대한 데이터를 가진 기업에서 추천 알고리즘을 적극적으로 활용 및 연구하고 있는 것도 이러한 이유 때문이다. 반면, 오프라인 및 여행사 기반에서 온라인 기반으로 영역을 차츰 확대하고 있는 항공 서비스 고객 데이터의 경우, 산업의 특성상 많은 회원에 비해 고객 1명당 온라인에서 활동하는 이력이 많지 않은 것이 특징이다. 이는, 추천 알고리즘을 통한 서비스 제공에서 큰 제약사항으로 작용한다. 본 연구에서는, 이러한 희박한 고객 활동 데이터에서 최신성 기반의 추천 시스템을 통하여 제약사항을 극복하고 추천 효율을 높이는 방법을 제안한다. 고객의 최근 접속 이력 로그를 시간 기준으로 데이터 셋을 분할하여 추천 알고리즘에 반영하였을 때, 추천된 노선에 대한 고객의 반응을 추천 성능 지표인 CTR(Click-Through Rate)로 측정하여 성능을 확인해 보았다.

  • 본 논문에서는 항공 수요예측을 위한 빅데이터 기반 플랫폼의 설계 및 실증 결과를 제시한다. 항공 수요예측 통합 플랫폼은 항공산업 관련 데이터를 Open API, RSS Feed, 웹크롤러(Web Crawler) 등을 이용하여 수집 및 분석하여 자체 개발한 항공 수요예측 알고리즘을 기반으로 결과를 시각화하여 보여주도록 구현되어 있다. 또한, 제안하는 플랫폼의 사용자 인터페이스를 통해 변수 설정을 하여 단위별(Global, National 등), 기간별(단기, 중장기 등), 유형별(여객, 화물 등) 예측 통계 자료를 도출할 수 있다. 플랫폼의 성능 검증을 위해 정형화된 데이터를 비롯하여 소셜네트워크서비스(SNS), 검색엔진 등에서 수집한 비정형 데이터까지 활용하여 특정 키워드의 빈도와 특정 노선에 대한 항공 수요간 상관관계를 분석하였다. 개발한 통합 플랫폼의 지능형 항공 수요예측 알고리즘을 통해 전반적인 공항 운영 및 공항 운영 정책 수립에 기여할 것으로 예상한다.

An Analysis on Service Usage of Traffic Information on the Expressway (고속도로 교통정보 서비스에 대한 이용실태 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze drivers' attitude related to usage of traffic information and traffic management service. A sample survey on Seohaeanseon Expressway(15), Gyeongbu Experssway(1), Youngdong Expressway(50) was conducted to analyze drivers' attitude ; sample size is 304 with 95% of confidence level and ${\pm}3.6%$ of sampling error. The analysis lists of drivers' attitude are usage of traffic information, awareness about information dissemination devices, and awareness about traffic control information related to LCS or RWIS. The results of this study is that drivers want pre-trip information, voice-based Hi-pass OBU, and fast incident management. According to the IPA, KEC's main consideration is a traffic flow improvement.

  • This paper proposed a dynamic transit vehicle simulation model and a dynamic transit passengers simulation model, which can simultaneously simulate the transit vehicles and passengers traveling on a transit network, and also developed an algorithm of dynamic departure time choice model based on individual passenger. The proposed model assumes that each passenger's behavior is heterogeneous based on stochastic process by relaxing the assumption of homogeneity among passengers and travelers have imperfect information and bounded rationality to more actually represent and to simulate each passenger's behavior. The proposed model integrated a inference and preference reforming procedure into the learning and decision making process in order to describe and to analyze the departure time choices of transit passengers. To analyze and evaluate the model an example transit line heading for work place was used. Numerical results indicated that in the model based on heterogeneous passengers the travelers' preference influenced more seriously on the departure time choice behavior, while in the model based on homogeneous passengers it does not. The results based on homogeneous passengers seemed to be unrealistic in the view of rational behavior. These results imply that the aggregated travel demand models such as the traditional network assignment models based on user equilibrium, assuming perfect information on the network, homogeneity and rationality, might be different from the real dynamic travel demand patterns occurred on actual network.

  • Urban freight system includes not just intra-urban freight movement but also inter-urban movement as well. Hence, to make Busan a hub of North-east asia freight movement it is necessary to develop a comprehensive plan for infrastructure expansion as well as improvement of freight system based on the present facility situation. This study identifies the status of freight facilities in Busan by establishing the freight related infrastructure Database(DB) utilizing Geographic Information System(GIS), and to enable planners and decision-makers to utilize the DB to develop a future plan. The DB includes port facilities, major and minor arterial roads, railroad lines and facilities, depots, center city business areas, and urban infrastructures which are related to the freight movements. The analyses show that major transportation facilities in Busan consist of roads, railroads, coastal transportation, and international transportation, and it was found that intermodal facilities are inadequate for freight system in Busan. The results of this study will be useful for freight experts and planners to develop a comprehensive freight system plan.

Study on the Maintenance Cost of Railway Infrastructure Using Line Classification and TMV Data (선로등급 및 검측차 검측정보를 고려한 철도시설 유지보수비용 산정에 관한 연구)

  • During the feasibility study of new rail lines, maintenance cost of railway infrastructure has mostly been estimated based on the track length and on simplified parameters; however, the estimation reliability can be improved by employing the correction factor from UIC 715, as well as the line classification in UIC 714. The correlations between maintenance cost and various parameters such as weighted track length based on line classification, radius of curvature, gradient and worn -out rate have been analyzed according to the case studies. Prediction of the maintenance cost has been carried out using the cost data, which were representative of the whole cost data; as a result, it was demonstrated that a cost model based on the line classification and the correction factor was more reliable than the existing models. Furthermore, possibilities of using data from both the track measurement vehicle and from the maintenance information system, which are under development, have been investigated and, based on this investigation, a combined cost model using line classification, radius of curvature, gradient and worn-out rate, among other factors, will be proposed in the near future.
