  • 변압기, 전동기 등의 에너지 효율을 향상시키기 위해 400 Hz 이상의 주파수에서 사용하는 자성코어 부품의 수요가 증가함에 따라 Si함량이 높은 연자성 코어에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있으며 냉간압연이 어려운 Fe-6.5wt.%Si의 경제적이고 생산성이 높은 분말 성형공정, 주파수에 따른 철손인자들의 영향 및 미세구조 제어에 대한 연구가 체계적이고 지속적 수행되고 있으며 흥미로운 연구결과가 도출되고 있다.

  • In this paper, a decoupler of tandem cold rolling mill is designed. Before designing the decoupler, this paper improved conventional linear model by considering friction and yield stress of rolling strip. In a stand, the decoupler let an output be controlled by an input. And even if states of other stands should be changed, current stand takes no interference from those changes. In addition, with the same method, a feedforward controller is designed for an input strip thickness error. Finally, performance of controllers above is shown with nonlinear simulation.

  • A digital preview controller is designed for tandem cold mills to achieve a better improvement of the thickness accuracy. And simultaneously a blocked noniteracting controller is synthesized for rejecting the interactive effects among adjacent stands and for controlling independently each roll stand of landem cold mills. The performance effects and characteristics of the suggested roll control system are discussed in the practical view points. The simulation results show that the thickness accuracy of tandem cold mills can be largely improved by the blocked noninteracting and digital preview contoller.

  • A H$_{\infty}$ control techniques with roll eccentricity filter is proposed to alleviate the effect of entry thickness variation and roll eccentricity occurred in rolling stand itself of tandem cold mills. A robust controller to the disturbances is designed using H$_{\infty}$ control techniques, which can reflect the input direction of disturbances and knowledge of disturbance spectrum in the frequency domain. And, non-standard H$_{\infty}$ control problem caused by selection of weight function having poles on j.omega. axis is discussed. The evaluation for the resultant controller composed by H$_{\infty}$ synthesis is done through computer simulations. The effectiveness of the proposed method is compared to those of the conventional LQ synthesis method and a feedforward controller against roll eccentricity, which was already studied.ied.

  • Strip profile and shape control is one of the most important technologies in cold mill, especially for ultra-thin and wide cold strip. The 6-high mills, both of HCMW and UCMW mill, are known to be very effective for the shape controllability. The optimized values of these factors for set-up scheduling were analyzed and found that excellent strip control would be possible by controlling the combination of the influencing factors according to hot coil profile. The important considerations for operation were discussed for individual stand.

스탠드간 간섭현상을 고려한 연속 냉간압연기의 선형모델 규명 (Identification of Linear Model for Tandem Cold Mill Considering Interstand Interference)

  • This study identified a linear time-invariant mathematical model of each stand of a five-stand tandem cold mill. Two model identification methods are applied to construct a linear model of each stand of the tandem cold mill. For the model identification the input-output data that have interstand interference property in tandem cold rolling are obtained from a nonlinear simulator of the tandem cold mill. And a linear model of each stand is identified with N4SD(numerical algorithms for subspace state space system identification) method based on a state-space model and Least Square algorithm based on a transfer function. Furthermore a modeling error of the tandem cold mill is quantitatively analyzed from a maximum singular value plot of error function between an identified nominal model and uncertain model. In conclusion the comparison of the output signals between the existing Taylor linearized model the identified linear model and the nonlinear model of the tandem cold mill shows the accuracy and the applicability of the proposed identified model.

Inconel 617의 결정립 미세화에 의한 내부산화거동이 크렉 전파에 미치는 영향

  • 니켈기 초내열합금 Inconel 617은 수소생산용 초고온 가스 냉각로의 열 교환기와 고온 가스관 등의 고온 배관용 후보재료로써, Cr, Mo, 와 W등의 첨가물이 함유된 고용 강화된 합금으로, 우수한 고온 강도, 크립 저항성, 내부식성 및 내산화성을 가지고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 결정립 미세화가 고온열화에 의해 입계를 따라 형성되는 internal oxide에 미치는 영향에 대해 평가하였고, 이러한 internal oxide가 인장응력 하에서 크렉 형성 및 전파에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 3-point bending test를 수행하였다. 미세한 결정립을 가지는 Inconel 617은 냉간압연 후 재결정을 통해 확보하였으며, as-received(AR)과 grain-refined(GR) Inconel 617은 $950^{\circ}C$에서 2000시간 동안 He분위기 하에서 열화시험을 수행하였다. AR과 GR에 형성된 internal oxide은 깊이와 분포 등의 뚜렷한 차이를 보였으며, 이러한 차이로 인해 인장응력 하에서 크렉 전파의 큰 차이를 나타내었다.

  • In order to meet the requirement for higher thickness accuracy in tandem cold rolling processes, it is strongly necessary to have good performance in control units. To meet this requirement, this paper suggested an output regulating control system with a roll-eccentricity estimator for each rolling stand of tandem cold mills. Considering entry thickness variation and roll eccentricity simultaneously as the major disturbances, a synthesis of multivariable control systems was presented based on H$\infty$ control theory, which could reflect the knowledge of input direction and spectrum of disturbance signals on design. Then, to effectively reject roll eccentricity, a weight function having some poles on the imaginary axis was introduced. This lead to a non-standard H$\infty$ control problem, and the design procedures for solving this problem were analytically presented. The effectiveness of the proposed control method was evaluated through computer simulations and compared to that of the conventional linear quardratic control and feedforward control methods for roll eccentricity.

  • The steel plate for shadow mask is used in a Cathode-ray tube of TV monitor and is the strictest product in surface quality because hundreds thousand of holes are perforated in a plane of 25 ${\times}$25 inches. To mass-produce this product, a reversible cold rolling mill for silicon steel was used and the rolling technology and the activity for quality improvement are described in this work. Because the steel plate is a mild steel, which is very sensitive to strip-breakage even in a low tension, we reset the minimum tension values matching to the operating conditions. The roll mark due to the multi-segmented araangement of shape controlling roll was prevented by hardening the intermediate shape controlling roll and by changing the existing working-roll into a HSS (Hig Speed Steel) roll. The scratch caused by the speed difference between a idle roll and a strip was prevented by increasing the roll roughness. With these activities, the steel plate for shadow mask can be stable. The continuous improvement of quality is, however, required for the customer satisfaction both of domestic and overseas market.

접촉식 자동 형상제어 장치의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Automatic Flatness Control System of Contact Type)

  • The necessity for more accurate automatic flatness control(AFC) system has increased of customers' requirement for cold rolled steel sheet. Therefore, many cold rolling mills replaced its AFC system with a measuring roll of the contact type form the non-contact type. In this paper. The performance of AFC system of contact type has been investigated under industrial conditions. It has two kinds of actuator: roll bender, spot cooling system. The test results are as follows: The more strip thickness is thick, the smaller the I value, and the more it is thin, the bigger the I value. And a complex distribution of strip tension was controlled, for example, not only a pocket wave but also a simple center wave and edge wave. Because the tension deviation is larger at acceler- ation speed and decelerationspeed than steady speed, AFC system of contact type is better to adopt over 50m/mim. AFC system reduces rapidly large flatness deviation. The maximum I value of strip has been decreased to 13 I, and sticker, defects caused by poor flatness, have been decreased about 60%.
