Critical Approach and Progressive Perspective on Sports Event Hosting (스포츠이벤트 개최의 비판적 접근과 미래적 응시)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey fundamental limitations and problems of sports event hosting from the critical point of view and to set future-oriented perspective. The reason and legitimacy for hosting sports event have come from pragmatism based on ideological logic behind politics. Thus, the flow of advanced studies was mostly limited to the category of efficiency. However, there is fundamental limitation in sports even hosting in terms of its financial expectation and efficiency. Critical approach will contribute to minimizing side effects caused from blind acceptance through awakening dispassionate and realistic judgment. In addition, rational selection of sports even hosting can be achieved through interconnection of sports culturism's directivity as an advanced sense of sports culture, integrated perspective that penetrates problems of growth and distribution and local governance as apolitical philosophy, and of course, through concentration of energy.

Review and Alternatives to the Internal Consistency of Home Economics Curriculum Components : Focused on the Clothing & Textiles Area (가정과교육과정 구성요소의 내적 일관성 검토 및 대안 : 의생활 영역을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the justification of the subject through review and alternatives example on the internal consistency of Home Economics curriculum components focused to the clothing & textiles area based on the beliefs and values inherent in the Home Economics curriculum. For this purpose, we examined the perspective of the assumptions about the five components of the curriculum - family, society, objective, subject matter, method in education - from the revised curriculum in 2007 to in 2015, and suggests an example of subject matter based on the result. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the clothing & textiles area of the revised curriculum from in 2007 to in 2015, family, society, objective, subject matter and method in education, excluding subject matter, were taken from a critical science perspective. In order for Home Economics curriculum components to be internally consistent, assumptions about the subject matter should be transformed to deal with the clothing & textiles as a family work. And needed to complement assumptions about family, objective and method in education. Second, based on the discussion, suggested an alternative example to the clothing & textiles area based on the internal consistency of Home Economics curriculum components.

Decoding the Persuasion Strategies Used in the Advertising Targeted for Children (어린이 광고의 설득전략에 대한 기호학적 해독 연구)

  • This study is designed to decode the persuasion strategies in the advertising targeted for children from a semiotic perspective. Semiotic approach to "decoding advertising text" allows us to classify advertising signs and sign systems in relation to the way they are transmitted and communicated. In this strategic process of advertising production, the producers use various "expressive techniques" and "persuasive appeals, premises, and ideology" shared by the members of the society. This study investigates Korean print media advertising for children with the following research questions: ① What types of expression techniques are employed in the print media advertising for children? ② What types of persuasive appeals(consumption values) are used in the print media advertising for children? ③ What are the persuasive premises(cultural premises) underlying those persuasive appeals? ④ What is the structure of ideology that governs those persuasive appeals and premises in the advertising for children? The study result reveals seven most frequently employed expressive techniques, ten major types of persuasive appeals and premises, and the structure of ideology governing the signs and signification systems in the advertising targeted for children.

Future Tasks and Alternative Teaching-Learning Strategies to Make the Best Use of Home Economics Textbooks in Secondary Schools based on the Newly Revised 2007 Home Economics Curriculum (2007년 개정 교육과정에 기초한 중등 가정과 교과서의 현장 적용을 위한 과제와 대안적 교수-학습 전략)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the philosophy embedded in the newly revised 2007 Home Economics curriculum. Furthermore, it analyses the current situation and future tasks of textbooks in view of that philosophy. With this analysis it tries to give alternative teaching-learning strategies for making the best use of the existing textbooks. This study deals with the newly revised 2007 Home Economics curriculum. It also analyses the twelve sorts of textbooks for the first grade students in secondary schools, which are supposed to be based on that curriculum. As a research method this study takes a qualitative approach. As follows are the results of this study. First, in the character and objectives of the curriculum is embedded the critical science perspective of Home Economics curriculum. Second, the current situation and future tasks of the textbooks are analysed with the criteria by Yang, mi-kyung about textbook construction. And we have ascertained the following problems. The current textbooks are not well designed so that teachers have the appropriate orientation, encourage students to nurture the critical thinking abilities, and urge students to employ practical reasoning in the context of society, history and culture. Third, this study proposes five alternative teaching-learning strategies for making the best use of the current textbooks in order to tackle the above-mentioned problems.

Education and Freedom for the 'Pick-Me' Generation in reading of Chun-suk Oh and Byun-chul Han (픽미세대를 위한 자유교육 소고: 천원 오천석의 자유 개념을 중심으로)

  • This paper begins with the notion of 'pick-me generation', which refers to today's young generation in Korea. It is named after the title of a song introduced at the Television programme for the competitive audition for girl-group singers. This name gives an idea of the atmosphere of the competition that the current young generation experiences in South Korea. In parallel to it, the research examines the meaning of freedom and choice in democratic education in Oh Chunsuck, in his later work in particular. This paper attempts to demonstrate the possibility to relate Oh's notion of freedom and democracy in relation to Han who critically analyses contemporary discourses on neo-liberalism and democracy. This paper re-views Oh's ideals of democracy and education within its own limitations on freedom. The argument extends Oh's idea of freedom and ethical democracy to the idea of freedom that is relevant to today's younger generation.

  • This study aims to understand the change of migrant policies, namely assimilation, multiculturalism and social integration, in the West through critical perspectives and to derive implications for the Korea's migrant policy from the experience of the West. In 1970s, assimilation policy was severely criticized from the limitation of cultural diversity, and multiculturalism expanded rapidly in the West focusing on the migrant's right and cultural difference. However, multiculturalism received severely criticism because it makes social isolation and segregation between mainstream society and migrants. Since 2000 social integration became the major policy for migrant incorporation, focusing migrant's attitude and practice to receive the value and culture of mainstream society with the active participation of socioeconomic activities. However, social integration policy reveal some problems which regard migrants as the object of control, and also as the object of discrimination. The experience of the Western policies suggests on the careful selection for the migrant's incorporation policies in Korea with the consideration of social inclusion of migrant, analysis on the problems of multiculturalism and social integration policy, and the necessity of mainstream society's change into the acculturation.

Liu Zongzho's Thought of Four-Sentence Teaching and "Intention" ('의' 개념을 중심으로 본 유종주의 사구교 사상)

  • Generally transition of Thought from Wang Yangming(王陽明) to Liu Zongzhou(劉宗周) is construed from emphasis of subjectivity to emphasis of intention(意; Yi). This Transition from emphasis of subjectivity to emphasis of intention is definitely expressed between Wang Yangming's Four-Sentence Teaching(四句敎) and Liu Zongzhou's explanation of Wang Yangming's Four-Sentence Teaching. Wang Yangming's Four-Sentence Teaching evoked much controversy among scholars of Yangming school. Consequently Four-Sentence Teaching's controversy caused Yangming school's division. Also this was a representative controversy on the transition period from The Ming Dynasty to The Ching Dynasty. Liu Zongzhou's critique and exposition of Four-Sentence Teaching was result from this controversy. The difference between Wang Yangming's Xinxue(心學) and Liu Zongzhou' Xinxue(心學) is due to different interpretation of intention. As is generally known Wang Yangming interprets intention is in heart stiring, but Liu Zongzhou interprets intention is being before heart stiring, immanence in heart. Liu Zongzhou suggests new exposition of Four-Sentence Teaching on intention being before heart stiring, immanence in heart. Liu Zongzhou's critique and exposition is not only criticizing Yangming's Four-Sentence Teaching, but also solves troubles of the times. As a result he promotes theory of Xinxue(心學) being peculiar his own.

  • This paper examines the evolution of the systems of innovation approach and its main issues. At first, national systems of innovation have appeared on the purpose to substitute the neoclassical macroeconomic policies. But various criticisms have been raised because of the restriction within national boundary of analysis, the lack of dynamic analysis, the danger of institutional determination, the deficiency of theoretical accuracy in national systems of innovation. Technological systems, regional systems of innovation, sectoral systems of innovation have been developed to overcome criticisms about national systems of innovation. Nevertheless the unsettled questions in the systems of innovation approach remain. The academic and policy-making usefulness of the systems of innovation approach will be expanded by development of the complementary researches within approach.

  • This paper examines how Nietzsche, criticizing anti-naturalist philosophies, reformulated concepts of nature and human nature, and revaluated them from the perspective of naturalism. Especially, it focuses on his task for naturalistic ethics to naturalize nature and to place man back into nature. This paper also tries to reinterpret his attempt to transfer the concept of justice from the metaphysical realm to the naturalistic one, which seems to give some important insights to develop theory of environmental justice, while pointing out some limitations in his naturalistic concept of justice.

인터넷 비즈니스 모델과 특허;최근의 논점을 중심으로

  • 인터넷 이용자의 급속한 증가에 따라 인터넷을 이용한 새로운 비즈니스 모델들이 급격히 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 이러한 새로운 비즈니스 모델들은 사업추진을 위한 방법에 있어서 컴퓨터 기술 등 일정 부분 기술적인 속성들을 내재하고 응용하고 있다는 점에 착안하여 비즈니스 모델에 대한 특허를 부여하고 있다. 그러나, 미국, 일본 등 선진국 뿐만 아니라 최근에는 우리나라에서도 적극적으로 검토되고 있는 비즈니스 모델에 대한 특허부여는 인터넷 기술의 급속한 진보와 인터넷이 네트워크를 매개로 자유로운 정보공유를 목적으로 출발하였다는 점, 영업방법에 대한 특허를 부여할 경우 그 영업분야에 대한 사실상의 독점인정이 될 것이라는 점 등 다양한 측면에서 비판적인 의견들이 제기되고 있다. 비즈니스 모델에 대한 특허부여는 인터넷을 이용하여 전세계를 그 영업대상으로 한다는 점에서 영업범위가 매우 광범위 하다는 점 및 파급효과의 즉시성 등의 특성으로 인하여 우리나라 뿐만 아니라 범세계적 차원에서 공동의 논의의 장과 규범을 마련해 나가야 할 것이다. 본 고에서는 특허청 등 특허관련 업계와 인터넷 서비스 업계 등을 중심으로 산발적으로 다루어지고 있는 비즈니스 모델 특허의 개념정의와 요건, 최근의 비즈니스 모델 특허관련 전개동향, 논점 등에 대해 살펴보고, 우리의 전략적 대응방안을 제시한다.
