Study on Perceptions of High School Students and Science Teachers about High School Fusing Science (고등학교 융합형 '과학' 과목 운영에 대한 고등학생과 과학 교사의 인식 조사 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate perceptions of high school students and science teachers about high school fusing science. Science teachers and high school students perceived that high school fusing science was related to various areas and they preferred to be taught separately from each area. Science teachers perceived that high school fusing science improved the understanding in the area of scientific common knowledge, advanced technology, and the history of science, but neither scientific writing nor discussion were actively involved. It also didn't contribute to the enhancement of scientific thinking and communication skill. Especially, high school students believed that they were more interested in science through fusing science. On the other hand, teachers believed that this high school fusing science might not impact student's learning and generate negative perception. Science teachers and students perceived that they were more interested in fusing science because it was combination of many areas in science. They also perceived that contents in fusing science were more related to their daily life.

Data Literacy Education in Design Curriculum of Higher Education Focused on Development of Design-Data Convergence Curriculum (디자인 교과과정에서의 데이터 문해력 교육에 관한 연구 -디자인-데이터 융합 교과 개발 사례를 중심으로)

  • This study explores convergence curriculum for design and data science, and applies data science knowledge on undergraduate design classes for designer's data literacy. First, related studies about data literacy education for non-data science major's, and data driven design project cases are explored, then design competency and data competency based on NCS are studied. Then this study developed 3 step design-data convergence curriculum model for designers' data literacy. The curriculum model is applied on case study classes, which are Big data and UX design(2) classes. The learning results and student's feedback of the case study classes are collected and analyzed to prove the design-data convergence curriculum, and the results provide findings and implications of the design-data convergence class case study.

  • In this study, a model that can converge with artificial intelligence in each subject as software and artificial intelligence education become mandatory in the curriculum revised in 2022 is proposed. The proposed AI convergence education model is based on the content of the subject (accomplishment standard + subject). The second axis is artificial intelligence tools, the third axis is artificial intelligence technology, and the fourth axis is data applied in daily life. In order to apply artificial intelligence to each subject, it is necessary to apply artificial intelligence tools, artificial intelligence technology, and data in daily life to the achievement standards and content of each subject. If the achievement standards and subject contents are structured in this way, it can be seen that the convergence with each subject is good. Therefore, when composing textbooks by achievement standards and topics, it is necessary to add artificial intelligence tools, artificial intelligence technology, and daily data.

An Analysis of Content and Convergence Method of Scientific Technology and Humanities in Elementary School STEAM Programs (과학기술과 인문학 융합 내용 및 융합 방법 실태 분석 -초등학교 융합인재교육(STEAM) 프로그램 개발 과제를 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to analyze the content and methodological aspects of converging scientific technology and humanities in 233 elementary school STEAM programs developed and publicized from 2012 to 2015, to provide the basic materials and implications for editing and supplementing the development of future STEAM programs or policies, or on-site applications of developed programs. The analysis results show that among the Liberal Arts courses of the STEAM program, including Korean, Social Studies, and Ethics, the level of convergence was lowest in Ethics. This seems to be due to the fact that convergence between scientific technology and humanities tended to emphasize a cross-studies convergence over a content convergence done with a specific purpose. In terms of methodological convergence between scientific technology and humanities, the level of convergence of humanities at a normative level was relatively lower than that at a descriptive level. Although a quantitative comparison of the two methods was not significant, it is rather concerning that due to simply converging descriptive humanities, students may not be so aware of the double-sidedness of scientific technology, despite the discovery of some programs that need re-evaluations of their ethical or normative directions. Moreover, the results showed that the cases of converging scientific technology and humanities at a normative level that were analyzed in the STEAM program can be divided into 'complementation of humanities to utilizing scientific technology' and 'complementation of humanities to research in scientific technology and development.' Based on such research results, the study discusses the development of STEAM programs and policies and directions for editing and supplementing programs on-site.

  • The ability to need information-oriented society is the convergence ability based in information ability. A new curriculum is demanded by new technology and circumstance to need the core ability. Korea Association of Information Education have studied a new curriculum and suggest a new plan that content of information education classified by 'computer system', 'SW production' and 'convergence activities'. Therefore, we studied on convergence activities of K-9. In this paper we firstly suggested concept of convergence ability as activities to use ICT, information communication ethics and robot. We nextly suggested object to achieve, teaching-learning methods and evaluation methods of convergence activities. We expect the curriculum we suggested about convergence activities will contribute to training talented individuals.

  • In order to cultivate human resources to live in the 4th industrial revolution era, software (SW) education became mandatory in the 2015 revised curriculum. Furthermore the science mathematics informatics education promotion law was enacted to emphasize the importance of software convergence education. Therefore, it is necessary to study how to converge and educate mathematics and science with software education to solve problems in real life and various disciplines. This study is to find the directions and effectiveness of software convergence education through content analysis of the software mathematics science convergence teaching and learning materials, which are recently developed and distributed by the Ministry of Education et al. The results of this research are expected to suggest implications to future researches about software, mathematics and science convergence education.

A Fundamental Study of Convergenced Curricular-Noncurricular System Development for Personality Education in University (대학 인성교육 교과-비교과 간 융합체계 개발 기초연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to focus on the personality education which is considered a requirement in university education and searched the components to be considered to develop an integrated curricular-noncurricular system to promote the personality education. For this purpose, a method of study was used to explore relevant prior studies in the form of appeal. The basic components of the integrated curricular-noncurricular system for personality education in university are: 'fundamental contents of regular courses of personality education as a fundamental noncurricular program', 'noncurricular areas and hands-on topics related to the contents of regular courses of personality education', 'configuration of integrated curricular-noncurricular system of personality education', 'capacities for personality education and organic categorization', and 'management of follow-up learning'. Finally, the conclusions discussed above were based on the conditions of the leader that could be realized on the basis of the personality education curriculum at the university site.

  • Recently, ISO/IEC SC27 WG3 is actively working on the revision of CC V3.0 to be an international standard by 2008, principally supported by Common Criteria Development Board (CCDB). Hence, it is essential for Korea to review and analyze the changes in CC V3.0, so as to be completely prepared for any change to be occurred from CC V2.* to V3.0. Taking into account of CC V3.0 being revised currently, this paper gives a general overview of revision in CC V3.0 : then, closely examines and explains the improvements and changes made by the revision in CC V3.0

  • 협력적 추천은 데이터의 범위성, 초기 사용자, 희소성, 회색양의 문제를 안고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 기존 연구는 내용기반 추천이나 인구통계학적 추천을 협력적 추천과 통합하려는 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 추천 시스템의 성능 향상을 위해 이질적인 데이터의 통합에 효과적인 신경망을 사용하여 다양한 종류의 정보 융합을 제안한다 신경망을 사용한 추천 모델은 사용자들 또는 항목들 간의 선호관계를 학습할 수 있고, 이질적인 데이터의 통합이 용이한 신경망의 장점을 이용하면 항목들에 대한 내용과 사용자들의 인구통계학적인 정보, 그리고 그 외적인 관련정보를 쉽게 융합할 수 있다. 또한, 데이터 융합을 통하여 희소 데이터 문제와 초기 사용자 문제를 해결할 수 있다.
