In school mathematics, the definition and concept of a differentiation has been dealt with as a formula. Because of this reason, the learners' fundamental knowledge of the concept is insufficient, and furthermore the learners are familiar with solving routine, typical problems than doing non-routine, unfamiliar problems. Preceding studies have been more focused on dealing with the issues of learner's fallacy, textbook construction, teaching methodology rather than conducting the more concrete and efficient research through experiment-based lessons. Considering that most studies have been conducted in such a way so far, this study was to create a lesson plan including teaching resources to guide the understanding of differential coefficients and derivatives. Particularly, on the basis of the theory of Historical Genetic Process Principle, this study was to accomplish the its goal while utilizing a technological device such as GeoGebra. The experiment-based lessons were done and analyzed with 68 first graders in S high school located in G city, using Posttest Only Control Group Design. The methods of the examination consisted of 'learning comprehension' and 'learning satisfaction' using 'SPSS 21.0 Ver' to analyze students' post examination. Ultimately, this study was to suggest teaching methods to increase the understanding of the definition of differentials.
In this paper, we attempted to provide the bases of effective educational programs for fostering ICT competencies of gifted students in science. For this purpose, we tried to answer the questions like 'What are the ICT core-competence for gifted students in science?' and 'How can we educate those competencies effectively?' We started by reviewing existing studies on ICT competencies for talented people in future society and then adopted one[6] as the basis for further validation. We tried to work with as many G/T experts as possible, and decided to use the online survey methodology because the experts are scattered all over the country. The survey was sent to the corresponding person who is in charge of G/T education in each area, and then e-mailed to G/T experts in that area. Through these procedures, three hundred four(304) G/T experts from all around the country participated in this survey. The results showed the followings: (1) G/T experts agreed with the importance and necessity of ICT competencies for gifted students in science; (2) G/T experts agreed with the validity of three core ICT competencies, which are 'knowledge and skills competence, creativity competence, and characteristic competence,' for gifted students in science; (3) G/T experts agreed with the validity of educational goals, which are suggested for fostering each ICT core-competence of gifted students in science; and (4) G/T experts regarded 'product-oriented education' and 'ICT device-oriented education' as important and effective types of education programs for fostering ICT competencies of gifted students in science.

The wave of a knowledge and information society led by AI, Big Data, and so on is having an all-round impact on our way of life. Therefore the Ministry of Education is in a hurry to strengthen Digital Literacy, including AI and SW Education, by improving the curriculum that can cultivate basic knowledge and capabilities to respond to changes in the future society. It can be seen that establishing a foundation for cultivating Digital Literacy through all subjects and improving basic and in-depth learning in new technology fields such as AI linked to the information curriculum is an essential part for future society. However, research on each content for cultivating Digital and AI literacy is relatively active, while research on teaching and learning strategies is insufficient. Therefore in this study, a CT-based Digital and AI teaching and learning strategy that can foster that was developed and Delphi expert verification was conducted, and the final teaching and learning strategy was completed after evaluating instructor usability and analyzing learner effectiveness.
Rather than an abstract discourse, the purpose of this study is to outline the core concepts in the 2015 revised curriculum as a concrete teaching and learning method in the school context. We interviewed eight secondary science teachers and reported their perceptions and perspectives on core concepts using a backward design model based on the cyclical process of the platform, deliberation, and design for developing teaching and learning materials to understand core concepts. The participants perceived these core concepts differently, such as big ideas corresponding to the ultimate principle, minimum science concepts required for daily life, and primary and significant key concepts. In addition, this affects the association of teaching and learning. When core concepts are understood as transferable and expandable big ideas, there is a tendency to focus on the relationship between concepts and design project learning in a specific direction. However, if core concepts are identified as minimum science concepts at the level of science literacy, that can be recalled within the context of life, there is a tendency to emphasize on activities that make a meaningful difference to the lives of students with focus on case studies that are relevant to everyday life. Once core concepts are identified as key scientific content elements, such as basic or significant concepts, teachers recognize that it is essential to emphasize concept changes by correcting misconceptions, acquiring accurate scientific knowledge, and developing problem-solving items through paper-and-pencil evaluation. As the 2015 revised curriculum is finalized and the 2022 revised curriculum is scheduled for release, effective policy support is required to ensure that the curriculum is revised, which emphasizes the purpose of big ideas by naming core concepts as core ideas, to be stably implemented in schools.

The purpose of this study was to examine the current state of consumption of medicinal food and the intent to participate in medicinal food education by food-related lifestyle. A total of 264 samples were conveniently selected from students enrolled in culinary education at the Seoul Institute of Technology and Education from September 5, 2014 to September 20, 2014. The results were as follows. Factor analysis showed five factors in food-related lifestyle named as adventure-seeking factor, taste-seeking factor, health-seeking factor, convenience-seeking factor, and safety seeking factor. There were three factors in awareness of medicinal food named as health characteristic, negative perception, and intent to purchase. The cluster analysis showed five dimensions for food-related lifestyle named as convenience-seeking group, safety-seeking group, health & safety-seeking group, health-seeking group, and taste-seeking group. Among the demographic characteristics, there was a significant difference in age, cooking career, and households by food-related lifestyle group. Among intent to participate in education regarding medicinal food, there was a significant difference in medicinal food educational institution preferences by food-related lifestyle group. Among medicinal food awareness, there was a significant difference in negative perception by food-related lifestyle group.
The purpose of this research was to provide basic educational data on the proper eating habits of children who use the community children center. The results of the research conducted by polling the fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade children of the community children centers are summarized as follows. Male children had more meals and ate them faster than those of female children, and they also tended to watch more TV and read books. Moreover, children of families headed by fathers ate until they were full, whereas children of households headed by mothers ate less. More female than male children skipped breakfast, and the percentage of children who had their meals alone was high among children reared by their grandfathers. Most of the children ate only what they liked. Moreover, male children ate only particular fruits and vegetables, whereas female children ate only beans and miscellaneous cereals. Most of the children recognized that they had eating problems, such as eating only what they liked and eating meals on irregular schedules. Such eating habits were affected mainly by family members such as parents, brothers, and sisters. Female children scored higher than male children in terms of nutrition and hygiene knowledge. Approximately 40~50.3% of all subjects became interested in nutrition and hygiene education at the community children center. Most of the children recognized that nutrition and hygiene education is necessary at the community children center. They also recognized their own eating problems and wanted nutrition and hygiene education to be taught at the community children center. Accordingly, regular educational activities and meals for children in the community children center considered a children's particular home background to improve eating habits in the children.

This study investigated the relationship between pre-service early childhood teacher's metacognition and emotional intelligence on character development efficacy. The subjects were 218 pre-service early childhood teachers at university. A questionnaire, which required self-reporting by these teachers, was used to investigate the effect of their metacognition and emotional intelligence on character development efficacy. The data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation and stepwise regression. The study results were as follows. First, metacognition and emotional intelligence exerted an effect on the character development efficacy of pre-service early childhood teachers. Second, there were significant positive correlations between the metacognition and character development efficacy of the teachers. Third, there were significant positive correlations between the emotional intelligence and character development efficacy of the teachers. Fourth, emotional comprehension of others, emotional comprehension of own, error correction, and emotional activity were meaningful and influential variables on the teachers' self-leadership. These results increased the perception for the development of pre-service early childhood teacher curriculum about character development efficacy, metacognition and emotional intelligence of pre-service early childhood teachers.
The reason why creativity becomes the important subject in 21th century is that it does an important role which solves many problems surrounding our whole life in this internationalization, globalization, knowledge-information age. But scholars who formerly researched the creativity-field explain the necessity of creativity with the internal and fundamental reasons. That is, scholars say that creative activities produce originative products and originality itself. And it is the root of which will be able to discover meaning of life and it -creativity - is successive activities that is demanded when individual life want to obtain important value by expressing one's inner world to the outside using creative resource. Recently, with the trends of present age and the educational needs, research about creativity is actively carried out and it draws out the results that creativity can be developed and enhanced through education and training. So, now many researches have focused on how to develop the creativity. Investigating those researches, we found that the recent issues of researches on creativity were changing and now they focused on creative instruction methods and behavioral factors. Especially, they were selected as the subject related to the creative education - creative instructional method and program, atmosphere in classroom, and factors of teacher. It means that the past researches which were a little bit conceptive have been changing to material ones which will be able to enhance creativity and its effect. So, in this research, we have developed the program for CPS(Creativity Problem Solving) and verified its effect.

The music education improves the creative talent, social skills and academic achievement of the students. For the efficient music education, the learner centered study is highly recommended rather than the passive education, which supports self-control in selecting teaching materials, learning patterns and speed. For the successful self learning, it is requested to develop the collaborative educational learning tools, especially electronic collaborators such as H/W and S/W. Though there exist many commercialized electronic instruments and the PC MIDI based softwares, these tools have some limits and problems for the primary student to learn playing the musical instrument by himself. In this paper, we propose a supporting tool implementation method using an electronic keyboard instrument with USB Interface and PC-based software to help the primary student to learn playing the musical instrument. We implemented an electronic keyboard instrument module compactly and at low cost using a PIC18F4550 MCU. PC based software was developed to edit musical score, process the MIDI information, and interact with the electronic keyboard instrument module. This tool can offer a similar keyboard instrument environment and can be incorporated with self learning contents.

This study investigated the changes in teaching professionalism of beginning science-gifted education teachers through mentoring in the aspects of pedagogical content knowledge. We selected two beginning teachers whose teaching careers in science-gifted education were less than five years. The teachers planed, performed and reflected on science instructions for secondary science-gifted students through mentoring during nine class hours over three times respectively. We observed their instructions and analyzed the taped videos, the materials, the transcripts for in-depth interviews with mentees, and discussions between mentor and mentee, researcher's field notes by using the constant comparative method. This study revealed that the mentoring, although there were many limitations, positively changed the mentees' practical knowledge about the curriculum for science-gifted education, the instructional strategies for science-gifted education, the assessment in science-gifted education, the science-gifted students, and the science content. These results suggest that the mentoring will be useful in improving the teaching professionalism of beginning science-gifted education teachers and provide meaningful implications in finding the ways to use it effectively in science-gifted education.
