  • 국내 지중배전계통에 사용되는 케이블은 경제성을 이유로 송전급 케이블에 준하는 신뢰성을 확보하지 못하고 있다. 초창기 CNCV 케이블로부터 지속적으로 성능이 향상되어 왔음에도 불구하고 여전히 수분침투에 의한 수트리 열화와 반도전층 계면의 전계집중으로 인한 케이블 고장이 많이 발생하고 있다. 이에 한전에서는 위 두 가지 고장원인을 제거하기 위하여 TR CNCE-W 케이블을 개발하였으며, 2005년 4월 규격을 제정하였다. 새로운 케이블은 지중 관로에 포석될 것이며 지중배전계통의 신뢰성을 한충 향상시키게 된 것이다.

  • This paper provides the results of performance investigation of gas insulated switches(G/S) for distribution power system. In order to investigate anti-contamination capability of G/S we carried out electrical tests and material analysis on the body of G/S and it's accessories. Through this experiment we found out the lead cable of G/S had not anti-contamination capability and G/S had insufficient interval between each phase. In order to improve the performance of G/S for heavy contamination area it is indispensable to replace the lead cable to the new cable which has anti-contamination ability.

Performance characteristics of a vehicle active suspension system with an optimal variable structure controller (최적 가변구조제어기를 갖는 차량 능동 현가시스템의 성능특성에 관한 연구)

  • The performances of a vehicle active suspension system with an optimal variable structure controller are compared to those of passive suspension system and active suspension systems with sky-hook and optimal controllers. The quater car model has a 2 DOF which accounts for vertical motions of a sprung and a unsprung masses. The transient responses are analyzed when a vehicle passing through a bump with a constant speed and the frequency responses are analyzed for white noise input at wheel. Particulary, RMS responses are also analyzed. It is shown that the optimal variable structure controller gives better performance of the vehicle active suspensio system than an optimal and a sky-hook controller.

  • Steel slag is produced during steel making process. Compared with the blast furnace slag, converter slag has the expansibility due to the reaction with water and free CaO. Therefore it is specified in Standard Specification for Concrete in Korea that steel slag aggregate must not be used in concrete. In this study, atomized steel slag aggregate is conducted from converter slag by the atomizing method. Atomized steel slag and conventional converter slag are same in its composite by nature in the converter but compounds of the composite become different because of different method of slag treatment. Especially atomized steel slag aggregate overcomes expansibility that is the weak point for usage. It is researched whether it has the possibility, suitability for fine aggregate in concrete. Slump and air content are measured in fresh concrete, compressive and bending strength in hardened concrete. These is compared with control concrete with washed sand.

  • A vehicle suspension system performs two functions, the ride quality and the stability, which conflict with each other. An active suspension system has an external energy source, from which energy is always supplied to the system for continuous control of vehicle motion. Therefore, an active suspension system can have even more improved performance. Some control laws have been proposed for active suspension system, but in this paper, an optimal variable structure control(VSC) is proposed. The VSC method is well suited for a class of nonlinear system and can address the robustness issues to constant modelling errors and disturbances. This paper develops an optimal VSC controller and compares its performance to those of a passive suspension system and an active suspension system with an optimal controller. The transient and frequency responses are analyzed respectively.

  • The most vehicle active suspension system is activated by a hydraulic source and transmission system which has nonlinear characteristics. Even though we have designed a proper controller for this system, it sometimes cannot show remarkable performance characteristics because of many factors that undercut the performance of the hydraulic system, such as nonlinearity, modelling errors, parameter variations etc. So, the robust controller that prevents a system from lowering its performance is needed. In this study, the sliding mode control which is the representative one of robust controllers is adopted to investigate system parameter sensibility. As a result, the sliding mode controller shows robustness to the system parameters variations relative to the other controllers.

  • The clack of Insulator, which results from internal or external surges such as electrical, mechanical, and thermal stress, might cause ground fault and a power failure without proper repairs. In order to minimize losses caused by a short-term or long-term power failure, it is necessary to detect the deteriorated insulator as early as possible. To do so, we will develop a new device, which can detect and trace an deteriorated insulator by monitoring its physical change the variation of frequency spectrum. This device will do so by finding a Periodic wave sharp (120 Hz), a peculiar wave generated by defused electricity.

  • We have developed the global assessment system for medium voltage power cable systems. Our purpose of diagnostic activity is the economic discrimination and maintenance of bad cables which is likely to cause cable system failure. We have atapted the Voltage Decay Method to construct the power cable assessment system for our diagnostic purpose. From the field application test results, we have concluded that our system is successful and convenient for the discrimination and maintenance of the damaged cables economically.

Effects of Hot Water on the Aging of URD Power Cables (지중 배편케이블의 열화에 미치는 온수의 영향)

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of hot water on the aging of URD power cables due to the hot water ingress to power distribution lines. Hot water contacted and non-contacted cables extracted from 2 distribution lines were characterized by the measurement of oxidation induction time(OIT) and chemical structure. In OIT measurement, hot water contacted cables showed the shorter OIT than non-contacted ones. Especially, hot water contacted insulation layer near insulation shield showed the shortest OIT. In chemical structure analysis, the antioxidant content was decreased and the acid concentration was increased by hot water ingress. From this results, it can be concluded that the hot water ingress to power cable may be accelerate the aging by means of antioxidant consumption.

  • 최근 전력설비의 절연을 위해 고분자 재질의 절연물이 광범위하게 사용되고 있다. 이러한 고분자 재료는 현재까지 주로 사용되어 온 세라믹 재질과는 달리 환경에 의한 열화를 동반하게 된다. 최근에 현장에 적용되기 시작한 고분자 재질의 절연물에 대한 장기 열화특성을 평가하기 위한 연구들이 다수 진행되고 있는 것도 이러한 이유 때문이다. 피뢰기의 경우에도 기존의 세라믹 애관을 고분자 재질의 애관으로 대체하기 시작하여 일부 제품들이 현장에서 우수한 특성을 보이는 것으로 보고되고 있으나 장기신뢰성에 대해서는 명확하지 않은 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 국내에서 제작되어 현장사용중인 폴리머 피뢰기를 발취하여 사용기간중 성능상의 변화를 분석하고 가속열화시험을 통해 성능의 변화를 관찰하고자 하였다.
