  • A common approach to estimate long-term electric expansion plan used WASP package in Korea. But, this has a little problem for making input DG(Distributed Generation) data computer. This paper develops new program that take complementary measures for DG. Also, it is verified that this package can evaluate availability from the case studies. When this program cooperate with WASP, calculate good results creating long-term electric expansion plan.

  • This paper studied about the characteristics of the Far Infrared Ray Radiant Oven. We decrease intensity of electromagnetic wave which depended on electric and magnetic field occured by the Far Infrared Ray Radiant Oven and then the affected effect on the human body is minimized.

  • In this paper, the method on calculating benefits of combined heat and power is introduced for standard evaluation in electrical power system. This paper calculates benefits about new national viewpoint and viewpoint of independent power producers and assesses benefits of combined heat and power in Korea and In Seoul national capital area. Benefit costs are composed of avoid cost of centralized generation, line upgrading adjustment, loss adjustment and electrical power trade cost per year in earlier study, in addition trade cost of $CO_2$, construction cost of combined heat and power for accurate calculation. Benefit of combined heat and power is calculated by simulation results of real electrical power system.

  • This paper describes retail cost through scenario in the ratio of CG(Centralized Generation) and DG(Decentralized Generation) that constructs new generation capacity in the future. it is not calculated for the supply, but for demand considering an advantage of DG. In the Korea Power System, retail cost that composed of construction, T&D, fuel, maintenance and environment shows macro-trend that power system planning through penetration for DG will be more significant.

  • This paper describes the unified reliability evaluation with partial loss of continuity for Inchon international airport distribution system which is complex and difficult system to implement. To evaluate reliability considering line limitation and voltage drop of the system, PLOC technique which is based on deterministic evaluation technique and failure mode & effective analysis method is employed. And reliability indices calculation method is used. Finally, to evaluate the system performance and to improve the reliability of the system, Analytic network process method is employed. As a result, calculating accurate reliability, finding weak points, and expansion scheduling of the system is possible.

  • This paper presents the methodology which analyze the effect of harmonics in power system. Considering the effect of less-harmonics, economic life and system loss, we have made the comprehensive countermeasure. According to the results of studying harmonics diagnosis and countermeasure, the following problems are pinpointed: protection of power system double investment space of the field.   • This paper describes an algorithm for evaluating the Loss of Load Probability (LOLP) and calculating the production cost for all the generators in the system using Fast Hartley Transform (FHT). It also suggests the deconvolution procedure which is necessary for the generation expansion planning. The FHT is as fast as or faster than the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and serves for all the uses such as spectral, digital processing, and convolution to which the FFT is normally applied. The transformed function using FFT has complex numbers. However, the transformed function using FHT has real numbers and the convolution become quite simple. This method has been applied for the IEEE reliability test system and practical size model system. The test results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • This paper presents a probabilistic method for describing the transfer capability of one area in an interconnected power system. The approach is based on Monte Carlo simulation scheme. The result of this method is the probability distribution of transfer capability. The distribution yield a general framework for probabilistic analysis of STC. IEEE RTS-24 power system is utilized to evaluate the proposed method.
