In this paper, a method for IMC-PID controller tuning is proposed based on obtaining a controller from closed-loop transfer function. It is considered a plant with the second-order plus dead time(SOPDT) model and selected the third-order plus dead time transfer function model as a target function. The filter function is derived from the suitable target function to satisfy the design specifications. A robustness test was done to verify the robust-stability.

This paper presented a method of extracting algorithm for Edge Multiple-Valued Decision Diagrams(EMVDD), a new data structure, from Binary Decision Diagram(BDD) which is resently used in constructing the digital logic systems based on the graph theory. And we discussed the function minimization method of the n-variables multiple-valued functions. The proposed method has the visible, schematical and regular properties.

The log-Gumbel distribution in real space is defined by transforming the conventional log-Gumbel distribution in log space. For this model, the parameter estimation techniques are applied based on the methods of moments, maximum likelihood and probability weighted moments. The asymptotic variances of estimator of the quantiles for each estimation method are derived to find the confidence limits for a given return period. Finally, the log-Gumbel model is applied to actual flood data to estimate the parameters, quantiles and confidence limits.

본 논문에서는 맨델브로트(Mandelbrot) 집합의 개념을 3차의 복소 다항식 z^3$+c 에 확장시켜 3차 분기집합을 정의하고, 이 집합의 2-주기 성분의 경계선 방정식과 관련 기하학적 성질을 고등학교 및 대학에서 다루는 미적분학 관점에서 분석하고자 한다. 복소수, 삼각함수, 매개함수, 함수의 극값, 미분 및 적분 등의 기초 이론을 활용하여 2-주기 성분의 경계선 방정식을 매개함수로 표시하고, 경계선의 내부 면적, 둘레 길이, 무게중심 등을 이론적으로 기술한다. 수학 소프트웨어인 매스매티카(Mathematica)를 활용하여 2-주기성분의 작도 및 기하학적 성질에 관한 수치 해석적 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

This study provides middle school students with an opportunity to construct elementary functions with dynamic geometry based on the proportion between lengths of triangle to activate students' intuition in handling elementary algebraic functions and their geometric properties. In addition, this study emphasizes the process of justification about the choice of students' construction method to improve students' deductive reasoning ability. As a result of the pilot lesson study, this paper shows the characteristics of the students' construction process of elementary functions and the roles the teacher plays in the process.

Various combustion modeling approaches have been developed and verified in a combustion system such as rockets, gas turbines, and so on. This study introduces basic theory and recent research activities on 1D network model where a system is divided into a series of acoustic element and mass/momemtum/energy conservations are applied in the component. Each component is connected to the neighboring ones with proper jump conditions. Flame transfer function and acoustic transfer function are determined and effects of the each function on the system instability is investigated.

이 논문에서는 웨이브렛 신경회로망을 사용하여 알려지지 않은 비선형 시스템을 안정하게 적응제어하는 문제를 다룬다. 비선형 시스템의 정확한 제어는 함수를 근사화하는 데 사용된 함수 근사화기의 정확성과 효율성에 의존한다. 이에 비선형 시스템 제어에 기준 함수의 선택이 자유롭고 함수 근사화 능력이 뛰어난 웨브렛 신경회로망을 사용한다. 초기 웨이브렛 신경회로망 제어기 설정은 웨이브렛 신경회로망 변수인 신축과 이동 값을 제어기 입력의 시-주파수 특성을 분석해서 구하고, 연결강도는 Lyapunov 안정성 이론에 기초한 적응 법칙을 사용하여 조절한다. 이를 비선형 시스템인 역 진자 시스템에 적용한다.

In this paper we propose new nonparametric estimators of the survival function using spline function under the progressively random censoring scheme. This sampling scheme is applied in many practical situations such as clinical trials or the life testing problems. We also investigate the behaviors for some estimators in the proposed class and the performance of progressively random censoring scheme through the numerical examples and Monte Carlo simulation.

기상이변에 따른 호우 태풍의 발생 빈도 및 규모의 증가에 따라 사회시설물 및 인명 피해가 증가되고 있으며, 이러한 피해에 대한 예방 대응 복구 등의 대책 활동에 대한 의사결정 지원을 위하여 피해 예측 및 저감 기술에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히, 피해규모 예측은 가장 기본적으로 수행되어야 할 대책 활동으로 국민 생활에 밀접하게 이용되고 있는 사회기반시설 중 재해 발생 시 복구물자의 이동과 인명 대피에 활용되는 교통시설물의 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국가재난관리시스템(National Disaster Management System, NDMS)과 침수흔적도를 이용하여 교통시설물에 대한 손실함수를 개발하고자 하였다. 개발된 교통시설물에 대한 손실함수는 재해저감 대책을 위한 기초자료로서 의사결정 지원에 활용될 것으로 기대한다.

본 연구에서는 할선법에 기초한 고정점 알고리즘의 독립성분분석기법을 이용한 영상의 특징추출을 제안하였다. 여기서 할선법은 엔트로피 최적화를 위한 목적함수의 근을 구하기 위해 단순히 함수 값만을 이용하여 계산을 간략하게 함으로써 역혼합행렬의 경신속도를 빠르게 하기 위함이다. 제안된 기법을 256×256 픽셀(pixel)의 10개 지문영상들로부터 선택된 16×16 픽셀의 20,000개 패치를 대상으로 시뮬레이션 한 결과. 추출된 16×16 픽셀의 160개 독립성분 기저벡터 각각은 지문영상들에 포함된 공간적인 주파수 특성과 방향성을 가지는 경계 특성이 잘 드러나는 국부적인 특징들임을 확인할 수 있었다.
