Biomedical engineering is a discipline that diagnoses and treats human diseases using engineering techniques based on medical and biological understanding. Proper biomedical engineering education requires education on medical terminology, human anatomy, and human physiology, but students have a preconceived notion that these basic medical subjects are subjects to be memorized. In order to eliminate these students' preconceptions, various educational methods must be developed so that students can easily access basic medical subjects. In this paper, we present a method to increase learning effectiveness by introducing observation practice of a human anatomical model to the medical terminology subject. The half-body model of the human body is a form in which various organs are assembled and can be observed by disassembling them one by one. This observation exercise consisted of questions about the organs of the head, neck, chest, and abdomen, with students working in groups to find answers. After the practice, students evaluated that this practice motivated them to learn and made it easier to understand the lecture.

With the current development of high speed Internet and massive database technology, the amount of web documents increases rapidly, and thus, classifying those documents automatically is getting important. In this study, we propose an effective method to extract document features based on Hangeul morpheme and keyword analyses, and to classify non-structured documents automatically by predicting subjects of those documents. To extract document features, first, we select terms using a morpheme analyzer, form the keyword set based on term frequency and subject-discriminating power, and perform the scoring for each keyword using the discriminating power. Then, we generate the classification model by utilizing the commercial software that implements the decision tree, neural network, and SVM(support vector machine). Experimental results show that the proposed feature extraction method has achieved considerable performance, i.e., average precision 0.90 and recall 0.84 in case of the decision tree, in classifying the web documents by subjects.

This study suggested ontology design to help heart-wounded users to be healed from their wounded heart. The ontology development framework which this article applied or adapted was mainly based on 9-step ontology development frameworks suggested by E. King and Reinold. The procedures of this study were collections and classification of related technical terms following the definitions of ontology and ontology users. In case added technical terms in the process of the study was founded, the definitions of their synonyms was utilized to complete ontology design. In addition, this article presented possibilities of offering new information by combining various characteristics of wounded heart, activating the expansion of ontology conception.

Recent reseach in the field of medical information systems has paid much attention to an ontology based medical terminology system to support clinical study and effective information search. This study aims to conduct research for further application or construction of ontology systems in Korea. This research reviews the theory of concept modeling and ontology. and analyses 4 cases of conceptual modeling of medical tenrminologies by ontology, The findings ot this study display these specific characteristics in medscal ontologies: (UHe standardization of terrrinology on MeSH. (2) The conceptualization of tenninology on UMLS. (l) ane. (2) are showed as untormal ontologies. (3) The theory of ontology integration in ON9, (4) The reference model of medical knowledge with formalization in GALEN. (3) and (4) are showed as formal ontologies. The application and construction of ontology should be differentiated according to the level of the proposed system, and then this analysis will provide useful information for the researcher and developer of the system.

In order to utilize the operational metadata retrieval system which is based on the semantic association between the research outcomes of the Korean Research Memory (KRM), the systematic integration of the metadata of the research outcomes with the term data registry (DR) was required. This study presents the ontology which can be used effectively to support the KRM. It includes the concept modeling of the knowledge structure of research outcomes, information retrieval service modeling that applies an analytical approach to researchers' needs in conjunction with the term DR, and also some technical and administrative suggestions for future system management.

This study examines the problem of incorrect usage of grammatical terms that are quite common in English grammar teaching process and suggests ways to revise and improve the errors. Parts of speech and sentence elements are indispensable for any grammatical explanation. These grammatical terms are a core part of the grammar, but they are frequently used without being verified correctly and interchangeably with no distinction. These terms refer to different things, and when they are used interchangeably, they cause confusion in the establishment of grammar cognition. In result, there is a crucial need to discuss and improve the definitions of the grammatical terms defined in the English teaching process for proper improvement in effective English education.

As the construction industry becomes bigger and more complicated, standardization of terms should be established between academic and industrial fields in order to accumulate and share information technology. The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the research trends and actual usage of construction and architectural terms in Korea. For this purpose, we examined research related to construction and architectural terms by searching RISS up to August 2014. We also analyzed document types and contents of research by year. As a result, 130 research studies related to construction and architectural terms were searched. Of document types, glossary ranks the highest, followed by academic journal papers, master's theses and research reports. Research related to construction and architectural terms began in 1939, and was actively studied between the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s. Within the research, list and opinion of related construction and architectural terms are found the most frequently, followed by standardization, analysis, alteration, dictionary and wordbook, and search system of terms. Despite these efforts and research, standardization of terms has not yet been consolidated between academic and industrial fields. Therefor, we suggest six proposals in order to standardize the terms. This study is an attempt to see the trends and conditions of construction and architectural terms and to provide base-line data and an insight for future research.

소비자에게 이러한 마침표에 대한 사전지식을 주는 공기조화. 냉동기계의 성능평가방법에서는 쉴 사이없이 변동하는 외기온도에서의 성능과 부분부하의 단속운전(cyclic operation)에서의 성능을 밝혀주고 이를 기초로 해서 공조기 또는 열펌프의 계절성능을 밝혀주여야 될 것이다. 여기서는 그러한 새로운 계절성능의 평가절차 및 방법 중에서 계절성능을 표시하는 방법과 용어에 대해서 만 해설을 하고자 한다.
