  • Korea is entering into an "Aging Society" rapidly. In this currency, the Elderly Supporting Problems is emerging as a main issue of elderly welfare services policy. The study is based on the welfare panel data of 2016 (11th), and it is divided into the national selection group and the family selection group who are in charge of the elderly welfare services in terms of operation and delivery and financial burden. And analyzed the factors that affected the effect. As the result of the analysis, it is found that the higher the age of the elderly, the higher the age and education level, The more we experience welfare services, the more we receive public pensions, the greater the responsibility of the elderly, the greater the elderly spending. It is meaningful to provide basic data for solving the elderly supporting problem at the present time which is not sufficient for the elderly welfare system.

  • This study researched the food culture and bean economy of the Joseon dynasty during the 16th century and according to the primary lifestyle reference "Shaemirok (? The research analyzed the textual contents of the "Shaemirok (? It is clear that the people of the Joseon dynasty produced more beans than grain, at a ratio of 41 to 50, respectively. The soy bean sauce consumption was split into family consumption and non-family consumption. It was evident that there was more family consumption compared to that of non-family consumption at a ratio of 7 to 3, respectively. People of the Joseon dynasty annually recorded their way of making soy sauce from 1595 to 1600. The Joseon writers edited the record six times for making meju and four times for making soy sauce. The recorded ratio displays the ingredients of soy sauce, which were: 6 Du of Mal Jang and 2 Du of salt. Mal Jang and salt had a three to one ratio, respectively. The most mentioned food was Tofu during the mid-Joseon period with fifty six mentions. The Joseon people regarded making Tofu in a Buddhist temple as a family-bonding experience. Porridge was the second most prominent food next to Tofu, among the bean-related food. Porridge appears thirty five times. There were 3 types of porridge named: bean porridge, bean powder porridge and mung bean porridge.

  • Broad effects of fuel-transition in all type of ground transportation have occurred with the help of the advances in electric vehicle (EV) technologies and the increases in EV supply. This research estimates the economic benefit of air environmental improvements, which results from the fuel-transition of high-mileage business cars(taxies) in metropolis. If we consider power production sector for EV operation, some air pollutants will be produced. In this respect, this research takes both the mixture of power sources in power production level and the driving pattern of business cars into account when investigating the economic benefit in air environment resulted from the fuel-transition of business cars(taxies). According to our results, the business cars' fuel transition from LPG to electricity brings about 21.5₩/km (8.6million won/year) of economic benefit in air environment. These results emphasize the necessity and appropriateness of public polices for expanding power production with renewable energies and facilitating EV distribution.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that affect the discrimination of low-income children among children in the community children's centers. The subjects of the survey were 6th grade elementary school students who were the third respondents of the second Child Panel Survey of the community children's center, among them, 355 children whose family economy level corresponds to basic living allowance, next level, and blind spot. SPSS Statistics 25.0 was used to analyze exploratory factors, reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study showed that single parent family, parent social capital, parental abuse, and happiness had a significant effect on the discrimination damage of low-income children in community children's centers. The more one parent's family, the less the parent's role as a counterpart to the discussion, and the more the parental abuse, the higher the child's discrimination damage. In general, parents-related factors were affecting the discrimination damage of low-income children. Community children's centers and related institutions should focus on developing and implementing programs that can improve the quality of family relations of children.

  • This study conducted qualitative research using Geochang Wolseong Space Creative Science Museum as a case study to investigate the organizational and operational status of small local science museums during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a basic study for the dissemination of scientific culture and public understanding of science. To analyze the situation of the science museum, an evaluation framework was developed, and information obtained through various communication channels and in-depth interviews with information commissioners of the museum were used for the study. As of 2020, when COVID-19 was at its peak, this science museum showed a clear decline in sales and visitor numbers compared to the previous year. Despite this situation, the museum was found to be using crisis management methods such as introducing unface-to-face programs, managing exhibits, and using various promotional media. However, the shortage of professional personnel, excessive workload of employees, and absence of differentiation from other science museums remain as challenges to be addressed in the future for sustainable earth science.

  • European and American countries are actively promoting eco-friendly cars to reduce exhaust emissions from internal combustion engines. In Korea, the "4th Basic Plan for Eco-Friendly Vehicles" aims to promote eco-friendly cars by improving charging infrastructure, expanding incentive systems, and targeting the supply of 1.13 million eco-friendly cars by 2025. As rapid growth in the number of electric vehicles sold is expected, estimates are required of this growth and corresponding power demands. In this study, the authors used a growth model to predict future growth in the electric vehicle market and a previously derived electricity generation model to estimate corresponding power demands up to 2036, the target year of the "10th Basic Plan for Power Supply and Demand". The results obtained provide useful basic research data for future electric vehicle infrastructure planning.
